Romance › Re: Would You Pay Settlement To Your Unmarried Fiancee After Breakup??? by eldee(op): 2:12am On May 28, 2008 |
funkybaby: @topic
I still insist that Ibo men settle their partners after MUTUAL break ups. Mutual break ups i mean cases where either family is not willing to accept the guy or vice versa, genotype issues, tribal issues, etc.
Most cases, it is not the lady that requests to be settled. The ibo man offers the settlement. Settlement comes in different forms depending on the financial strength of the ibo guy involved. It could be a car, money to set up her own business, a rented apartment, all expense paid vacation abroad, etc.
Haba, i need an ibo man on nl or any lady who has experienced such gestures from them to come and bear me witness.
A recent case happened to a male friend's friend last year. The guy had already carried out the traditional wine carrying ceremony months back. Guy based in europe, lady based in naija-worked at a bank in warri. Then issues came up, allegations and counter allegations of infidelity from both sides. Dowry paid to the lady's family was refunded back to the groom. Relationship dissolved. Guy settles lady with a lovely ride. Lady wanted guy's house at Lekki. Guy said lai lai. Car is all you get with the already furnished apartment he got for her at warri.
P.s. Both guy and lady are ibo.
I know so many cases as well. Seriously, ibo men do it. In the african society, that wine carrying is recognition of the woman as his wife. Dowry And you're comparing it to meet-up live-in couples |

To think madamkoko: age is NOT "nothing" but a number. I think that at 18 a girl has not gained adequate life expereinces and life expereinces matter, for you, for the marriage, for perception, and most importantly for her children, How can someone truly "train"her children if she is a child herself or for that matter has not had too many life experiences,
If you loved her, I would recommend to give her more time, at least wait till 21, for her to expereince life more. What's the difference between an 18year old and a 21 year old? 3years He said he saw her intelligence, that should give her the ability to make her choices About her chidren, She'll prolly not be a mum till she's 21 She doesn't need to face the tough stage till she's 24 or sumn And believe me, responsibility brings out the best in some people. It's now medically advised to have your kids early, and then grow up looking sexy at 30's to 60's |

@topic If any chick ever slaps me, I must have done something that deseves it But if I didn't do anything worth that stupid action Obviously my instincts will be to slap her back With my hands in midair, I'll just stop and be like ' You're not even worth the stress'1)With that action she'll have ducked to prevent the slap's impact, showing she's not that strong afterall 2)I made her look stupid by not slapping her 3)I still remain the Legen-Dary LD I've always been. |
