dayokanu:What does Oezil have to do to get Bonus points?? Wasn't he by far the best on the pitch today?? |
rapjunkie:Nah . . . I only diss you when you act stupid, right now you're showing signs of recovery like Eminem, so I'll leave you alone for now. Everytime I diss you, everyone comes here to laugh, even the girls . . . I don't need to work to hard to make a joke of anyone, you know that better than anyone. ![]() BTW . . . have you seen Chykay's new song?? Acacia boys are the ish. Can't wait for y'all to see the remaining of My Ex, ordinary the trailer, Chiogo and all the other chics left me for L. Thanks for the mention man, nice. |
rapjunkie:Hehehe . . . you forget things easily, don't let me get started on you again. How is the video cheap?? That video is what got Notting Hill music behind him. Having friends that do music is two-faced?? Sometimes I wish you;d just stay off drugs, it |
Not even one attacking point for Oezil?? Why didn't they just use the Man of the Match style for bonuses instead of this B.S?? |
When we ask Queen of En-gerland, when you go give us World Cup them say na 2010. 2010 don goooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! [flash=450,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzv-s13QtYY&hl=en_GB&fs=1&[/flash] |
@Dayo It's over . . . Drake - Over [flash=450,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lTB1pIg1y0&hl=en_GB&fs=1&[/flash] |
Podolski is enjoying himself on my bench . . . this is painful. |
In one year, Dayokan gets two against EPL fans ![]() |
We need a goal . . . bring on Emile Heskey?? Capello can be stupid sumtimes. |
Way to go referee!!! |
jalether:So becase it's happened before means it should continue?? How many big games must be ruined because of decisions like this?? Even Stevie Wonder saw that goal!!! |
Emperoh:They use technology in 100m sprints, it takes less than three seconds to see who came first. Dunno what FIFA's excuse is. |
We need technology!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
bouzymill:Dude . . . you are not throwing jabs at me, I don't even live in the same city with my parents. I just don't like the fact that you had to bring in personal issues when no one went personal against you. You're just opening yourself to unnecessary disses when you do that . . . ask Rapjunkie. You wanna know the reason people said Modenine's video is wack?? Because it had a thread of it's own sying people should discuss it. It's expectation interest, it is expected that when a thread is opened for a video, it is a good video. bouzymill:This is not minimalism . . . if he were to apply minimalism, there would be no girls, no suit, nothing at all just Modenine rapping alone possibly on an old camera. Go look at Modenine's Bathroom Cypher on Youtube, minimalism is where you strip an art form of all it's typical characteristics. Split screens, wine glass, elaborate camera angles, neat fonts and you call that minmalism?? Come on man. This is a mainstream attempt and he failed . . . he'll be back in his comfort zone with Rhymetite. In this case he fought hard to push the concept but missed it woefully. . . 'they wanted sumn mellow so I did it, hello'. Part of the problem is the fact that Modenine never seemed to have a presence in front of the camera . . . my friends do music, I've learnt a lot seeing them break down videos. The wardrobe wasn't it, Modenine cannot pull off the suave(swagger) look, the background was dead, and many other things to fault. These wouldn't have been a problem five years ago, but now it's treasonable in Nigeria. BTW Mo'cheddah's camera presence is amazing . . . she's been trained by Knighthouse. Point 4 just shows how you deviated from the topic. |
Question Why Are Comments Constantly Disabled On Mode9's Video?? Answer 'For a rapper who many regard as the best in Nigeria, one can be excused for expecting more than this. I’m sorry but… this blazing track just went down 3 notches in my book. Where does this rank in your best videos of 2009? (Modey, I’m a big fan but I’m hurt!)' - notjustok.com Editor on Badman Video. ![]() |
@Javalove What you called Bouzymill's analysis . . . in London it's called 'air'. What was the whole point of his entire post?? Even as much as you talk B.S most of the time, you still had more content than him. I've broken down everything he said in that post and not even one holds water. So tell me the part that has the analysis!!! |
bouzymill:1. They wanted to make sumn 'minimalistic' . . . is that the new word for wack?? 2. It's more on the concept . . . nope, wack video, weak concept. 3. Money can't buy you a good video . . . yeah, but give Igho the money and you'll see the result. 4. Some of you still live with parents . . . is that why Modenine's suit looks crappy or is that why the video looks like it was shot in Javalove's bathroom?? 5. 'You're enforcing your opinions on people' . . . if you have valid points that make sense, my opinion won't count. 6. Have I achieved what Modenine has achieved?? Has Bouzymill achieved what Solja Boy has achieved, why then does he diss Solja Boy?? |
BlueDiva:The Premiership is either Man Utd or Chelsea . . . The La Liga is either Real Madrid or Barcelona. Does that make it boring?? |
@bouzymill This thread was made to discuss the Modenine video, let's discuss it and let it be. However if you want to throw personal attacks at people, then could you please not be a coward about it. I don't care bout where Modenine lives, I'm not a hater, I buy his albums . . . and I don't know who exactly you're aiming at with your 'live with your mama' comment, I don't . . . but if you have a problem with someone here, put a name on it . . . makes it easier for people to see what you've got against them. I've seen you criticising American hiphop artistes, have you achieved what they've achieved?? Have you sold more than Solja Boy?? Have you ever been that popular?? If the answer to any of the above questions is no . . . then in the words of Eminem 'stop playing with the scissors and shiit and cut the crap. That said, in one breath you're saying erm 'the video is alright' in the same breath you come out to say 'well, the producer was crap' can't you just listen to yourself?? |
@Javalove Are you done now?? Aiite . . . a good video is a good video, it will always get the concept and portray the message. What you want is not a good video, Cry is a good video, 360o poetry is another good video. This is just wack . . . When I talked about DVM's album cover, I pointed out the things he could change. I pointed out Modenine's dressing, employ the guys that dress other celebs. Video production . . . pay these guys more money and they'll give you a good job. If that's not constructive enough, you'll have to get sumone else. If you want Modenine to learn, sit him in front of modern day Nigerian videos . . . the days when you could get away with videos like Recipe, Badman and Spazmodic are long gone. |
I disagree with @eldee because Artist usually have their highest sales early in their career, they tend to start fallin in sales when pple start getting tired of their styles, c the hype drake has behind him, u only have this kind of hype once in your career. Relapse lyrics wasn't below par, the accents spoilt it for me Eminem is projected to sell 700k.
Nah . . . in recent times, your first album is usually the one that people don't trust. You only get a good fanbase after that. . . Kanye, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and other big sellers of the 2000s did better after their debut efforts. Drake's sales are super-impressive, 50Cent sold 872,000 before the days of piracy. |
Genuflect:Come on . . . for a debut album in this torrent era, that's exceptional. Besides Eminem sales on Relapse just proves that he doesn't need to drop sumn good to sell records. |
@Rapjunkie I'm off to watch the World Cup at a pub, you know how I roll. Comment on the topic at hand and I'll let you be. . . I'm not Drake, diss me and you'll get a reply for it.
You are a nutcase!!! What i don't get about these retards is the fact that they think i HATE Modenine. I am more of a Modenine fan than any of them. . . . . .Rapjunkie does not even possess any of Mode-9's original albums. He bootlegs em!!! How is he supposed to be Mode's fan when he doesn't put his money where his love is? Eldee/Sauron buy Modo's albums. We discuss it, we analyse his lyrics and yet we get pilloried for our opinions.
People were complaining bout the And then someone comes here to question my right to make criticisms . . . even Modenine knows better. |
. . . . .And she wasn't a good screw at all. I had to check maself in i wasn't infected with chlamydia after the do.
Come on man, you have to admit that sleeping-with her is more fun than discussing Modenine. ![]() Especially the way she screams 'OKOKOMAIKO' ![]() |
RAPJUNKIE CUT THE YABBING CRAP ABEG. . . . E DAN DO #EDANDEYMADT ABI
Come on man, Rapjunkie's being a good prey . . . you know how I gentle I am. ![]() |
rapjunkie:Hehehe . . . you asked me a simple question, 'which is more fun, deleting posts or sleeping-with Rapjunkie's mum??' I gave you a simple answer . . .'sleeping-with Rapjunkie's mum'. ![]() Why do I keep mentioning Sauron?? Because he was the only other person on Nairaland that's shagged your mum so far. |
rapjunkie:Are you having a laugh . . . nailing your mum is way more fun than deleting posts and moving topics to the Recycle Bin. She has a thing for moderators, Sauron lied that he was a moderator on Politics and he too got a free pass. ![]() |
this is parliament. ordinary citizens don't vote them in. and plz if you have alternative solution for improving gender equality, let the UN know maybe they can work it into their next program for 3rd world countries after the MDGs have failed. for now, we shall work with what we currently have: 50% women in elective offices. ha ![]() even now in colleges: due to the higher ratio of females to males, it is easier for males to get into college. is that fair to the intelligent females being shafted, NO. but does it promote gender equality? YES. nothing is perfect. it's all give and take and we just have to pick the best solutions. smile
I have one . . . it's already being used in the UK and America. Yours is being used in Rwanda . . . we all know which one gave a female Prime Minister, equal pay and free primary and secondary education for children. ![]() |
of course they voted men to power because all the nominees are men. duh now that there is open slots of females, i'm sure women will take advantage of that and will be supported. then they will be voted in. it's like having male and female co-chair for an organization. which works very well and is democratic. lol. i'm not using any shock value here. it is just very obvious that the reason why the vice president called for 50% women is because of MDGs. and like i said it is a relatively easy indicator to achieve. and i actually meant this as a criticism actually because in a perfect world, we would have made that decision on our own instead of the west proposing it to us and us accepting it because we need their money. even the whole "democracy" thing with parliaments and such are western concepts. yeah we africans have our form of democracy too yadi yada. but what we all currently have is a western democracy. and yes there are many other indicators too many of them are very hard to achieve and unrealistic although created with good intentions. anyways, bottom line is: i support this move because it will bring about changes for issues relating to women and children in the country which i want!!! you're free to have your opinion and i'm free to have mine.
Nah . . . nominees are not chosen by God, they are self-nominated. And you think Sambo is not just using this as a political ploy to gain votes from women?? I don't care if it's an easy one to achieve, it's an indicator for a reason . . . At the end of the day, I'll pick a solution over an indicator any day. And yeah, it's your opinion, but it is totally flawed and sentimental . . . exactly as I pointed out in my second post on this thread. |
the point (or aim) is that with more women in parliament, issues concerning women and children will be tackled more. this is why i say getting women in parliament is a easy outcome to achieve. but we will have to wait to see if it brings about changes. and there is a better chance of these results happening with more women in parliament
If the 'easy outcome' is sumn that is undemocratic (not based on merit), then it is one step forward, two steps backward. I voted a female MP in the last elections, because she was good enough not because she is a woman.
are you trying to say that naija has a democracy? isn't the politics based on nepotism? I don't see anything wrong with a gender quota.
I don't know if Nigeria has a democracy, but enforcing women on the legislature is not going to help us get one. Forcing women into elected offices is wrong . . . there's a reason why it's called 'elected' offices. . . it means you put in whoever you want.
you mean in US? US isn't perfect. trust me, I will be very happy if they bring the quota system to the US. until things change and level off Obama has been doing a good job for women and minorities in US govt.
US is not perfect but they are obviously better at women affairs than Rwanda. And they got there by letting the women get their voice outside government first . . . last elections they had a female candidate with a serious chance of winning and the other as a VP aspirant. Now that's because it wasn't done by a quickfix or sum window dressing.
and to be honest with you, nothing is perfect. of course there will be issues with having exactly 50% females. but to me, that's better than having 0.5% females in leadership position in a country where half the population is female.
As I said before, putting women in office is attacking the problem from the wrong side, it's bigger than getting a couple of Firstladies into the House of Reps. There is a reason why the UN called it a pointer and not a solution. . . if you empower women with education and economic viability, a stron representation in elected offices is inevitable. |
rapjunkie:Hehehe . . . did I push someone's button?? Sorry man, I didn't mean to shag your mum . . . everyone did, even Sauron. ![]() |
