NYSC › Re: How Much Did You Make During Your Nysc Service Year? by Electronzeez(m): 8:15am On Jan 11, 2016 |
hardychris: The question should be how much I spent during my service year as a corps member.
I still don't know how possible it is to save money in Abuja as a corper unless you have something else doing outside the service, then I was getting almost 40k in a month from my PPA and NYSC Alawi, and I wasn't paying for house rent because I have one here but @ the end of the month nothing to show for it because everything goes to cab drivers pocket, I spend #600 everyday on transportation, and unlike other states, that #600 will be enough for more than one week and people do give corpers money or even pay for their Tfare but its not like that in Abuja.
If you are really after saving money after your service year, don't even think of coming to Abuja unless your house is a stone throw to the office, even @ that, there. Too many other things that will take the money because of cost of living.
But the advantage of serving in Abuja is that you can work in any organisation and get more experience if its related to your field of study, unlike other states where its mainly teaching.
NYSC is fun but the fun ends in camp, I wish you prsopective corpers success, the main thing is getting a good job after serving.
Meanwhile, NYSC is still owing me for 2 months since how many years now that I finished serving. PCM take note of the bolded . |

Prospective corp member always think nysc is rossy . it actually depend on where you will be serving . |

Op you tried and I will commend you for your effort but at the same time I think you are over flogging this knowledge .
Well , you can add this to what you already know .
Get a tissue paper or a silk material with fine texture not the roughly made.
Get a methylated spirit
That's all you need . the methylated spirit is spread on the tissue paper or the silk material afterwards use it to wipe clean your touch screen .
If you can not get spirit , exhale your breath on the touch screen and wipe off with a silk material ...... Thank me because this works like magic . |

Durentt: d person who did dat isn't a product of nigeria. He obviously grabbed dat knowledge abroad. Once again stop defending software engr. You did Electrical You guys are always claiming best course of study yet mathematicians are ranked above u guys in America I am done arguing with you I just have you two example that are from Nigeria universities you went ahead saying something else I studied electrical and I can work in any company even if there exist a maths company You no need light , of you get light who go maintain an for you . Kindly tell me one company that does not required electrical , . This course de sweet , I can tell you we don't need an abracadabra mathematician where I work because everyone that work here deal with figures and practical . My question to you , just in case you are not employed tell me what you can do with your maths knowledge .....simple question . |

destino24: Bros, goto to the jobs/vacancies right now and check. Forget the discipline, Engineering is just too broad and employers of labour know it. You're more likely to get a job with Engineering.
Entrepreneurship wise, Engineering still takes the lead.
Forget that thing wey durentt dey talk
But on a serious note, if you can move over to Eng, please do You de mind the scammer . An engineer is more respected than a mathematician in Nigeria , its Gods doing the same way medical doctor are treated like kings and queen in camp and society . Calculator don't kill yourself you can't change this fact , get over it. |

Put software engr apart nd face d most common engineering courses in nigeria, chemical electrical mechanical etc. None are in dat list, America one of d most developed nation still prefer mathematicians, Dat shud ring a bell to ur head Another bullet in your head my friend . I will quote from the same article you shared . read again below Software Engineer, a job that involves the design and creation of software for everything from operating systems to cell phone "apps" to interactive gamesThe nairaland app on play store was created by an American shey. Clap for yourself stop saying what you don't know . Durentt: its not a theory its a known fact!! If nigerians don't knw the usefulness of mathematicians, other countries do! Read nd enlighten urself www.careercast.com/jobs-rated/10-best-jobs-2011 This link is enough to nail you . read below from the same article you shsred . In recent years, the job market has increasingly rewarded math whizzes at the expense of less technical professionals. Actuary, Mathematician and Accountant have all ranked among the best jobs in America by offering a pleasant work environment, good salary and healthy job security. But in 2011, as the emergence of specialized technologies creates new industries, landing the year's best job requires not just skill with numbers, but a strong knowledge of computers too. The writer is very correct in the stone age when the world is yet to experience technology advancement mathematics is relevant. Not now. The writer went ahead to name software engineerabove mathematics . |

Durentt:
i ain't generalising, i am talking frm experience, d engineering uncle was thrown away frm where he worked, upon he registered with Nigeria union of engineers (NUE) And is a qualified engineer , dy still kicked him out @the bolded , this is the reason why you should stop talking anything about engineers , every of your knowledge is centered on mathematics . FYI there are two bodies governing engineering in Nigeria . NSE and COREN, you must be a member of the later to join the earlier and I should inform you that being a member of any of these body is a win win either as employee or if you are running a self bussiness . |
