Good day Nairalanders I'm Jay (psuedonym) by name and I need your candid advice please bear with me if my writeup is long.

Several thoughts have been running through my mind all day and I've been trying to get an answer within but none is forthcoming. Flash back to some few months ago there's this girl I met in school, she's sweet, lovely and she's got everything I want in a woman, we started talking and we got to know each other.

During one of our conversations she told me about a particular guy of the Aiye confraternity who has been hitting on her but she claimed its nothing to be worried about so I waved it aside.

Few months later she gave in and gave me a yes, precisely six weeks ago but on the 7th of this month (Sunday). She told me a friend of hers decided to take her out only to discover that its a gathering organised by some gang members to celebrate their annual anniversary (7/7).

She said she met some other gang members who has been hitting on her there, according to her claim she said nothing transpired between her and the members of the secret society but during the convo I got to know that apart from the other guy in Aiye there are also two other cult guys from different gang who are also after her.

I didnt take it as much of a big issue I just told her to be careful of friends and people she moves with. Sunday went by and today (Wednesday) after lectures while hanging around the school premises she showed me two other gang members who had approached her and who still holds an interest in her making it 4/5 or more cult guys who are hitting on her.

From that moment I wasn't at ease but she didn't seem bothered or disturbed like I do infact she was still getting cosy and all loved up with the PDA despite the fact that I was trying not to draw attention at that very moment.

When I got back to my hostel while thinking of what to do I remembered that two-three weeks before we started dating I had a nightmare in which some gang members were after my life.

I thought of the nightmare and the current circumstance I am and I can see some sort of relation I've been thinking whether to continue the relationship or end it even though its still young, fresh and filled with love.

Let me tell you about my dream I had this week. OK.
I dreamt I was in the university as a fresher. During clearance, I helped a random beautiful girl out,but never took her number afterwards. However,at year two first semester,we met in a restaurant on the campus. We got talking,and from there we fell in love. And it was a beautiful one.
But then,there was a problem hindering us—some cult boys,esp the leader, wanted my girl! There was constant harassment. It became unbearable even after I reported to security officials—all to no avail. The boys were notorious, and influential with political god fathers. So, in our desperation to fight for our love, I and my girl enrolled on a martial arts school,at least to learn how to defend us and then keep our minds calm with yoga. During the course,we met other participants who shared our experiences with notorious cultists on the campus but do not have the interest to join them,and thus seek to learn self defence. From there,we got the idea of forming a team in order to look out for one another on campus; but with a condition that we will never be the aggressors with our learned art.
So,we started kicking the bad guys with our skills one after the other. But then,things turned sour again. A lone cultist cornered one of our crew with a pistol. But he was able to knock him down and out. And then he took the weapon for more protection. He was on his way to the ATM,and so the pistol was on him when a group of robbers attacked the bank branch. In the ensuing chaos, he brought out the gun and got involved trying to act as some super hero. He was shot instead,and with the police coming on,it became a complete shoot out. So,he had to flee( he knew with an illegal gun on him,he had become a suspect. it wasn't too long before he passed out due to the huge blood lose, and was only found by a good Samaritan who took him to the hospital. ***

I didn't know people could be eloquently slow,you have just shown that. Everybody who has commented on this issue did what this age and time allows us to do— communicate as global citizens—thanks to social media. The information has been made public,and it has become what it is. So,whether he is innocent or not is not our business, but our interest is in seeing that he is taken in for questioning and if found guilty, jailed. Using the stories of falsely accused people do not underplay the fact that each case of rape demands a thorough investigation.

You need to know how the average naija girl turns down a guy's advances. In my 2nd year at d uni,I have had a girl publicly humiliate me at the faculty during clearance. What did I do? I only tried to create familiarity as course mates by complementing her looks, and the next second was an outburst. She said I wasn't her type n that I was very stupid. I just apologised n kept quiet,as every one else was staring. After some minutes,this girl walked up to me to tell me that she was sorry,and that her outburst was as a result that she has not eaten since morning and that she would appreciate if I buy her lunch. Then,I said fine n took her to a restaurant. Babe eat her fill and still took takeaway. After that incident, she kept meeting me for money n outings, at d initial time I obliged until I was fed up. At the end of the day,my room mate bleeped this girl without spending any money.
