Drabeey:OK,thanks. |
I don't think is the problem of Nigeria is in who gets what,in what capacity and percentage; but it is what you can do in that capacity to better the lives of Nigerians. That should be our concern, be it an exclusive youths leadership or not. But well,if we are talking of fairness and equity, then that would be correct. |
First, kudos to the @PDP for taking responsibility for their mistakes. But I think patriotic Nigerians would be glad to see them highlight those mistakes, and those in wrong doing. to Nigerians punished. After then, the remaining ones can have how support. It is high time Nigerians seeked accountability from our leaders, only that way we can be a great nation. |
Seeing injustice like dis makes me cringe, I wish I had a solution to our problems. quick recovery to the victims. |
WotzupNG:Hey guys, please I need your advice. I was the one who open a thread title the death of justice, it was an outburst which was out of anger considering what my family is passing through as a result of a land case. Now, I suspect I am in danger: some men came to my house asking after me. I suppose it is in regard to what I wrote here,on facebook and Twitter. But I pray it is not what I think. Although I regret all that I wrote and would love to withdraw my messages, I am using this medium to apologise to all that my content was directed at and ask for forgive. I regret it even though it was borne out of my desire to see justice done at all times, which I felt wasn't done. All I wrote was in a rash and lacked rational approach to solving issues. #peace. |
vchykp:the point Is,when clothes r exposed in the opening and are contaminated by those larvae of those worms, the body gets infected with it when it was not ironed with heat to kill them off. |
FreddyKruger:haha lol. guy go shift one side jor, ari bio kpangi yi fa. |
FreddyKruger:shut up! crime is everywhere! |
I can't imagine how northerners who were not ready for independence but was begged to join suddenly became the masters of Nigeria. it beats my imagination how every other regions just stand and overlook their excesses. I think the entire south is at faults by living the lives a conquered people. it is insane! |
gtown:OK. I get it now, bro. Buh actually one or two States produce oil in d south east |
gtown:sorry,I had to withdraw my argument, I lacked d facts. I agree with u. l |
gtown:no |
gtown:is there refinery in the east? |
DAT year for Kogi, dem little children will b giving u greenlight like fire...''corper timaya! corper timaya! I wan come visit u,shey u get indomie for house?" When I show them strict, they hate me for it. lol. I thank god for my kind of person, such rubbish don't move me. |
Asquare84:OK. thank you! please I am pleading with the lawyers in the house to come to our rescue. my family is up against one professor kemidisei Okoko and his gang of wicked souls who are influencing the outcome of the court cases. He allegedly paid a huge some of money to subvert justice; he is always in that habit, creating problems among families and then supports the wrong side to win so he can control them. lawyers in the house, please put me through on how to write a petition to the judiciary commission so that they can probe chief justice Kate Abiru for corruption and subversion of justice? |
goal |
please, I need lawyers in the house to advise me on what to do. I know we need to appeal at the supreme court...we can fight for us?! |
Asquare84:I swear, it the problem to the people. And I fear for us, the land case has been politicized so much so that even shell now has vested interest in it by supporting our opponents, the politicians including the state government is interested. our governor was our opponent's former lawyer before he got power, there after he made the judge of our case the chief justice of the state. so can just imagine that we couldn't have gotten justice from her. |
Hello, nairalanders! please oblige me with your time by reading my sad but true story life story, and endeavour to add your advice and opinion. Today, I witness the death of Justice in my family- we lost a land dispute to our opponents. Before I give you guys a brief history of the land case in concern,I would like to tell you that the judgement that was passed today did not have the attendance of our lawyer and family members i.e we were not aware of the date( though personally, i can't vouch for our lawyer who might have been bought over).we have lost it at the appeal court now .But I want to believe that that is unfair! Justice is murdered and it died in cold blood, killed by those chosen as custodians of the law. Even, the first judgement was passed in similar manner whereby our opponents were already privy of the victory before Chief Justice Kate Abiru passed verdict. But that is about That. This land case started when crude oil was discovered in our family land, and when shell came to explore it. initially, around the 1970's, shell had already marked the oil wells and my grand father was recognised as the sole owner of the parcel of land it is sighted and received contracts from shell as such (they are still owing him outstanding balance for the labour he provided ). And after the discovery and all, they stopped work but later came for full exploration in 2003. it was then our opponents who are only a faction of the family( they are adopted) but have no claim to it came onboard through the influence of one prof., et al who had prior knowledge before us( he was a one time chairman of NDDC) through his influence, shell came for consultation with our opponents without us,even though they had entered land use agreements with my grand father. so,we protested, and when we did we were sued in court. At the court,we provided every documents we have including the survey of all our lands situated even beyond the portion shell has taken(our opponents only argued for the piece of land covering the site). we provided documents dating back to 1910's, documents involving land disputes our great grand father had won; also we provide documents containing leasing of the land to prospects who paid royalties to us (those for farming and tap wine tapping). We provided witnesses and argued our case to a logical end. But whereas our opponents had virtually no proof but argued vainly, that they are the sole owners of the land and that we are not part of the family but slaves and therefore aliens to them. Suffice me so say that my grand father was once the chief of the community! All the while he ruled for over 20 years, nobody alleged that. our opponents alleged that our great grand father was adducted into the family when his step father who was a member of their family died, and his biological mother left him with them and migrated without him. And that when he came of age, they gave him the said parcel of land to farm on. Now that was some interesting story, but it leaves a lot of questions. One, if he was given the said land, then why was the land given out as leash in his name, why was all the court cases he had in the 1910 and others,in his name. there are no references of our opponents as owners of the land. Even as they argue that my progenitor was a slave, there is no truth in that because his immediate son became a chief of the community. And that was no privilege but a right! In fact, there is no iota of logic in their argument. imagine, the said piece of land in dispute is far larger than the whole pieces of land our opponents own, which is not in dispute. in fact, the larger portion of the land we included in our survey plan which our opponents did not claim at the initial stage is very sizeable, big enough for a gift to an unfortunate slave boy they adopted. what a benevolence! They claimed a meagre 25 acres of land in the suit, but has taken everything beyond it! and the courts allowed such rape of justice. Truth is,there is no iota of truth in there doctored story! And I dare them for a DNA to be conducted between the two families. After winning the court case, they have moved on to confiscate even the lands that were not in dispute. even the court oblige them even when we moved for a stay of execution-the court reject our pleas. they kept building houses on our lands and selling to strangers while we were in court... To be frank with all well meaning people of the world is that, today justice has again been murdered in our family! We the innocent and rightfully owners of the land hosting Shell at Obunagha, Bayelsa State,Nigeria, has been deprived of justice by the greedy and ever confutionist Shell, the state gov.,greedy and dishonorable principalities at the judiciary and other workers of injustice. However,I want to believe that justice can't be murdered. it may slumb and faint in the hands of the wicked, but will recover in the hands of the just. Now,my family is looking for the just! |

guys, how do I create a topic in nairaland? I have been a member for a longtime now but has not posted a topic. Now,I would like to post one but don't know how to go about. thanks in advance. |
GoroTango:for the very time i have read something meaningful,i.e something of human nature with logic, empathy, n all that rep a human with conscience from. I applaud you this day! |
See guys, what I have come to understand about this boko haram issue is that the northern elites have metamorphosed it to resemble the niger-delta agitators who used militancy to hold the country to ransom; it is a profitable business just like d one down south. my instincts tells me that herdsmen(allegedly Fulani) is a branch of boko haram playing the same script. |
the only people I despise more than these jonsing men in khaki and black olokpa-and also the wicked politicians, are the cowards called the nigerian masses! this generation of Nigerians could never have confronted the British colonialists, neither could they put up any resistance if the colonialists chose to come to enslave us directly again. we are so lazy and vulnerable we can be enslaved by any one with any weapon of power and a dreadful or a cunning face- just look at the Libya case where a 21st century black man is still treated as an animal without any resistance from him or his government! Nigerians are a bunch of primitive animals without any sense of self value! |
We are in a big mess in this country! A friend of mine once told me about his former friend who was a well known and dreaded cultist who had run against the law several times but is now in the police force. And also my former classmate in secondary school who was a bully and practically was the least in class in terms of performance, is in the military force. the truth is,we have a lot of cultists, madmen and illiterates in our armed forces and in fact, politics. so these things are bound to happen! |
I was once dump by an ex gf for being too weak and drunk in luv;she said that she only respects men who can control her, when they say sit down that she will obey! and not some weakling she can control. she said I should forget abt being seen as some control freak and that she is an adult who can recognise the lines and judge abuse. she needs a man's judgements that can protect her! |
PoliticalChinex:what then do u have to say about fellow Nigerians calling the 1966 coup as an Igbo coup even though it was comprised of different tribesmen in d military, and it wasn't like the whole Igbo populace sent them; but every other coups after it was not given ethnic coloration? how about the name calling of niger-delta militants, making it look like everyone is involved and thus they represent us? I thought stereotyping is fun in naija?! |
Alariiwo:na me n u dey dis country wey everybody dey call d 1966 coup as an Igbo coup; in fact innocent igbos were attacked and killed for what some adults drawn from different tribes in the military, carried out. nobody preached dis kind of sermon that those khaki boys never represented d igbo populace. the Igbo's r still hated for it till date. now karma is just flirting with u guys, u r shouting rape already! |
