I cannot deny even till tomorrow that I sincerely believed that Muhammadu Buhari was the messiah Nigeria needed:a man of impeccable integrity that would fight corruption to a standstill,secure Nigeria.A detribalized Nigerian that would guarantee justice for all,give merit,competence their desired places in our affairs while also running an all inclusive government where everyone would have a sense of belonging.With all these proper governance principles,economic prosperity would likely follow,even if not immediately.
I make no apologies for my vote for him and I can't before God deny I didn't wholeheartedly believe in him.
The president Buhari I am seeing however is an exact opposite of the one I believed it and I would not use a different standard in judging him from those we used in judging Obasanjo,YarAdua,Jonathan and even with Nigeria's low standards,the man has been a massive disappointment,even in the integrity that was his main selling point.

we talk as if kanu is the sole originator of hate speeches in nigeria! almost everyone is guilty of hate speeches in this country, at some point in time! when sanusi lamido opined that the yorubas r the problem of nigeria,nobody sent the military after him! if kanu's only offence is dishing out hate speeches at others,those aggrieved(be it the yorubas,the arewas,the govt or individuals ) should take him to court for defamation by slander and let him be prosecuted.

...There was already growing tension in the North when the Action Group northern tour came to Kano during the weekend of May 15-17, the tension was a result of the hostility towards the Northern delegation in Lagos. An orderly demonstration by the Northern Peoples Congress supporters against a proposed Action Group meeting took place on Friday, May 15. This was followed by small skirmishes on Saturday. Disturbances that led to the riot started out at the Colonial Hotel, on May 16, 1953 which was supposed to be the venue of a meeting by the Action Group led by Akintola. Prior the meeting, the Kano Native Authority withdrew its permission to grant the meeting. A mob gathered outside of the hotel and started stoning people close to the hotel, during the fracas, two people believed to be southerners died, the mob later attempted to gain entry into Sabon Gari but were subdued by the Native Authority police. The situation became more serious and became an inter-ethnic crisis on Sunday, May 17 {1953}when mobs of hooligans from Northern section of Kano, in particular Fagge attempted to break into the Southern and Igbo dominated Sabon Gari area with some success, though their original chants were against the Yorubas, the casualties in the Sabon Gari area were mostly Igbos.[2] Shops in the Sabon Gari market were looted and violent attacks took place. But the Native Authority police and the Army were called upon and prevented further entry of hooligans into the Kano area. The skirmishes further spilled into the indigenous Kano areas such as Fagge where small unorganized groups of people of different ethnic groups clashed. [3]

On Feb 2016 the Nigerian military invaded National High School aba venue of IPOB rally and opened fire on people holding only biafran flags dozens were killed.

In the midnight of may 29 2016 Nigerian soldiers invaded a Catholic Church in Nkpor Anambra State and opened fire on ipob members who were sleeping at the Church. The killing continued the following day 30th may 2016 and at the end over 1000 ipob members were brutally slaughtered. copied.

Ipob cannot be more-Jonathan than the ND militants who have moved on from 2015 elections and embraced the initiatives pursued by the FG through Vice President Osinbajo.

Given the choice between order and anarchy, the Nigerian state has no option than to put Nnamdi Kanu where he belongs no matter the price. The only victims, as in every conflict situation, are those who are unfairly targeted on both sides. That is why we need to draw a line between the average law-abiding Nigerian Igbo wherever he is, and Ipob thugs bent on stoking an all out ethnic war.

There is no moral equivalence between the Nigerian security forces and Ipob thugs. The Nigerian security must do everything to protect civilians from Ipob terrorism in the South-east and possible reprisals elsewhere. They must avoid any act of collective persecution that will feed into Ipob's narrative of collective Igbo victimhood.
