What point did he miss? Instead of pouring scorn on other people's achievement the least you guys can do is achieve something notable yourself.

Stop sitting in front of computer and belittling other people's achievement whilst doing Bleep-all yourself.
The same point you are refusing to see! How ironic!!

Your perception, your problem, not mine. smiley

I haven't even made any comments that will suggest so in this thread. Instead you have barged in here with pre-conceived mind and views, as to what I say or I didn't. For the record, you know Sweet F.A about me.

Again, what more do you have?
PoliticsRe: Gunners Fan Hangs Himself After United Victory by ElRazur: 12:40pm On May 07, 2009
A quick search shows there is already two threads on this in the sports section. How hard is it to post this in the right section? Or perhaps do a search? If you do not want to be called stupid, please do not act like one. smiley

PoliticsRe: Lagos Govt Sued Over Ban On Eze Ndigbo Title by ElRazur: 12:11pm On May 07, 2009
Said Eze Dialakwe: “By this banning, the Igbo in Lagos may get up one morning to learn that the government of Lagos State has banned every Igbo man and woman from owning more than one house in Lagos.”
huh

With a line like that, I hope he aint the one representing them in court.

sorry to digress.

it is a proven fact that an AK 47 will still fire bullets even after been sub merged in sand and water - Unlike the error prone western european and American rifles.  grin
I agree. However, why is not primarily used by modern forces? Personally, I will prefer our elite forces [police and what not] use something better than a Klashnikov.

Actually I miss you in Yoruba is not "Mo miss e gan"

It is a shame that the my generation cannot speak a simple sentence of Yoruba without adding English or some foreign connotation to it.

I miss you in Yoruba is "Oju e ro mi gan"

Please do not miseducate the people.
PoliticsRe: Proposed Police Reforms. What Do You Think? by ElRazur(op): 11:14am On May 07, 2009

TV/MoviesRe: The Wolverine Movie, Lagos And The Igbo Language by ElRazur: 11:12am On May 07, 2009
It is ended due to several reasons, you keep moving the goal post and missing the very point at hand. I am having to repeat myself, not something I like doing especially when I consider you to be intelligent. You see kinda sucks, so I had to stop, not because I believe I am wrong or anything. smiley

But yeah, debate should be polite and insult-free. smiley
PoliticsProposed Police Reforms. What Do You Think? by ElRazur(op): 10:48am On May 07, 2009
Better pay Police officers are paid as little as $40 (£26) a month, this should be raised to $100 for police constables

Bad eggs Deal with the estimated 10,000 officers with criminal records hired between 2001 and 2004

Complaints A reliable system for the public to complain should be established

Better educated Recruits should attain a certain level of qualification before being considered

Promotions Job applications should be transparently managed

Uniforms Policemen should not have to buy their own

Communications Police should get an up-to-date communication network

Equipment Police should be given better investigating tools and the training to use them
These proposals feels like the real deal to me, well at least on paper. However, it may need minor tweaking here and there. For example, £100 a month is just to small in my opinion for anyone to live on, talkless of feeding a family, shelter and maintenance for a whole month.

The bad eggs have eaten deep into almost every aspect and every level of anything "Nigerian" it remains to be seen how this 10 000 or so officers will be dealt with? Sack them? Retrain them? Speaking of retraining them, can you train an old dog new tricks?

Complaints appears to be something we are not used to. It is an aspect that appears to be severely lacking in us. We respond to complaints, or criticism with manners that suggest we really do not like to be complained about or criticised. If we can pull this off, then we may be heading in a good direction.

I agree, Promotion should be more transparent. It should be based on qualification, attitude and approach of the individual to work and not from where they are from, or because they have "long legs" or know the IG etc. About time we recognise people who are worth their places.

Again I agree that we need a good communication link. The UK have dedicated airwaves for Military and other forces use. It would be nice and helps a lot to see our police force having the latest communication link system, instead of the UHF channels that is a bit dated now.

It is true and well known that our police force do lack the necessary equipment to carry out the basics of their Jobs. Ak 47 are not exactly ideal in a modern force. Most modern forces tend to do away with them. Having said that, I can see the reason as to why it is popular with developing world though - cheap to maintain and run, reliable etc.

Another thing that may be of slight concern is how long will it takes for this proposal to become reality? A we looking at a ten year period, or less than that? It would be nice to have a very modern force fit enough to police Nigeria and help in combating crimes, I suppose this is the first step towards that.

Proposal taken from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8034141.stm

Feel free to add anything that may be needed. smiley
TV/MoviesRe: The Wolverine Movie, Lagos And The Igbo Language by ElRazur: 10:29am On May 07, 2009
It kinda get tiring having to repeat myself. I guess we will have to leave it like that. A fictional film, based on a fictional comic book adaptation own us nothing to use real location of Nigeria as a result of us getting a mention in the movie. That is my view, that is my opinion and am sticking to it. smiley

PoliticsRe: Nominate The Best Governor In Nigeria 2009. by ElRazur: 7:28pm On May 06, 2009
This kind of thread sucks to be honest. What is best to you may be crap to someone else. ON what grounds are the "best" selected? The amount of money embezzled? Road built? Appeal to the people without actually doing Bleep all?? You see it is higly subjective, and as usual led to may bickering.
GamingRe: New Xbox Console From Microsoft In 2010 by ElRazur: 7:24pm On May 06, 2009
Sony always make their console last 5 or 10 years. Ps2 is about 10years [abi na 5??] before the ps3 came as a replacement.
