OMO IBO:
this is true but still not conclusive.
eye witness(es) is/are still a sure bet. even the cops will tell you this.
I think you will find it carries more weight than you think in a court. Below is a definition.

A person whose education, training, and experience can provide the court with an assessment, opinion, or judgment within the area of his or her competence, which is not considered known or available to the general public.
Eyewitnesses account varies, but to be honest, you will find that the above carries more weight in some case than that of an eye witness.

I suspected so. I've heard of this so called "Phone H.a.c.k.i.n.g" and can someone provide an insight as to how it is done. I am very sceptical to be honest.

For the record, for CCTV to be admissible in court. A face recognition expert is needed at times.

PoliticsRe: Obii Chidiak Habeed Assasinated In The Church Last Sunday by ElRazur: 10:19am On May 05, 2009
A media story is not a basis for someone to have a motive. The report for all we know may not be accurate, and had to rely on several sources that may not have been mentioned.

Anyway, since you are moving away from your earlier points, it is of no use taking this further. smiley

there you go, when you watch too much CIS.

so because someone is 300miles away they cant be suspecthuh??

In any murder case, close family are SUSPECT.

That does not mean they are convict or criminal. The key to crime is MOTIVE and less of alibi since that can be bought or fake.

Once motive is established, you can build your case ofcourse crime scene would be checked.

Crimed are solved by combination of many tools, CCTV is surely one of them.
You fail to answer my question if you are a police officer or not. What is CIS? huh Dude, I did Forensic science in my first year before I changed over. Criminology and forensic cases are part of what makes my course during that time.

You cannot go about suspecting everyone.[Oh thanks, I really do know what a suspect means] You have to look at the circumstances I mentioned earlier.

You are moving away from your point about CCTV. You made your previous point seem like CCTV provides solution to all crimes, hence why I mentioned other wise, and even told you I can give you examples.

In any murder case, the close relative are suspects. This is normal.

Another lesson, it pays to have CCTV atleast you can trace back and have evidence to catch the criminals though too late to protect the woman.
Please tell me you ain't a police officer? huh

It makes sense to evaluate the crime, crime scene and circumstances surrounding the death BEFORE suspecting anyone. A close relative who is 300 miles away is therefore out of the equation.

By the way, CCTV don't always help solve crime. I can give you countless example if you want.

No it's not. It's complete crap.

How can one compare gay rights to people screwing animals?

I'm no fan of homosexual marriages but to state that they may open the floodgate to incest, pedophilia and beastiality is just bullshit.
Zap you man. Why are you employing common sense? grin

It is a common misconception for people - especially ignorant ones - to draw a parallel between paedophiles and Homosexual. Jeez, that is like comparing Apple and a frog. grin

@Poster, no need waiting to form a group to get this rolling. Like I said, you can put together a petition, go around from house to house and get signatures of about 1000 people in your community. Make a copy of the petition and send it to some media outlets in your area and then forward the original to state. And you have started something just like that.
Good idea, but does that really work back home? I know that back in the 90s, the thought of petitioning the government actually make things work. But I am not so sure as of now though.

"Mr Taylor's defence team" cry

How can this bastard even have a defense team after killing innocent people like my uncle. He needs to get plenty of jail time like his son. SCRATCH THAT,FRY HIM INSTEAD!!
The basis of a fair trail, is for the accused to have a fair representation. The case is very complex, if he is to defend himself, he is so gonna lose. Killing him will not bring back your uncle am afraid. However, if he lived long enough in prison, then he would at some point see his wrong doing. Well that is the argument for sending someone to prison.

It then appeals to which people: The Asian community, the Eastern Europeans, Caribbeans?

My observation is that a cross-cultural appeal is non-existent. Yours is that a cross-cultural appeal exists and you think a ''fair way'' to exchange ideas is for me to establish non-existence as much as you establish existence. Bizarre.
Look, I really cannot be drawn into a lengthy debate here. The Nigerian food have cross appeal, whether you take it or not. The hundreds of Nigerian eateries around here in London alone highlights that. Or are these restaurants serve Nigerians and just Nigerian only. huh

Several food that is common with the Yoruba culture is common in Cameroon too. A good examples of these are Fufu, Garri and boiled cassava. All of these foods are eaten on a regular basis in neighbouring Cameroon. [under a different name] That alone defeats your point of non-cultural appeal blah blah blah.

As for your last paragraph, you seem to have been dismissal of everyone who have come in here to tell you one way or the other that our food do have cross-appeal. Yet, it is obvious for everyone to see that your point are not in anyway a fact, but the same "anecdotal" you are labelling the view of others. Hence why I asked you if that is a fair way of debating.

You are contradicting yourself. You inadvertently acknowledged that very few such dishes had cross-cultural appeal; Chinese and Indian. Nigerian food is quite clearly not one of them.

You know non-Nigerians who devour Nigerian food, I don't know any, not even those who want to be polite.

A fact? The burden of proof is on you to establish the existence of something. If there is such appeal, demonstrate it, and don't tell me your anecdotal experience which isn't universal.
I am not contradicting myself, I am merely explaining as to why Nigerian food may not have a cross appeal to the indigenous people here. smiley

Yeah I know known Non-Nigerian who loves our food.

There is really nothing to proof. Your points was based on things that are nothing other than observation., yet you are quick to dismiss points/explanation based on personal experience or observation. Not exactly a fair way of exchanging ideas now or is it? smiley

PoliticsRe: An Expatriate’s Email From Nigeria by ElRazur: 4:44pm On May 04, 2009
Our food are rich in nutrients as it is less processed. Things like vitamins, fibres, protein etc can be lost through processing. Also, it is well known that human tend to chew/masticate processed food less than unprocessed food. For example, you will chew more of cooked rice, than say noodles.

The western diet is known to be a causative factor for diseases like Bowel cancer, diabetes, High blood pressure etc.

Peronsally, I find eating mcdonalds makes me feel weird, and I mean weird in an unhealthy way. But allow me to eat some home made food and gosh, am all good. Long live Nigerian food. smiley

The above is anecdotal evidence. There has been a large Nigerian community in London for decades, yet, you don't see Nigerian dishes being touted widely. When your office does anything, how many ask to go to a Naija joint?
You want scientific evidence? grin

Again one can argue that this is due to "fear of johnny foreigner" approach that have become synonymous with certain aspect of their culture here. How many food of international origin have cross appeal in the British menu? You can count everyone of em on one hand - Chinese and Indian.

On a more serious note, saying our food lacks cross appeal is a bit short-sighted and not in anyway a fact.

Who is saying we have great food? I guess even a goat will call the grass it eats ''great food''.

The true test of whether your food is great is whether it has cross-cultural appeal. Nigerian food doesn't.
Some will disagree. I know loads of non-Nigerians that stuff their face with Nigerian foods. Especially, the southern, western and eastern food. If you are in London, it is not unusual to see different races eating our food in the eateries and restaurant.

you'vegot a point there, every raper is unique but we have a rigth to lebel our favourites as the best. that's what gives us the pride to talk, brag, boast and what not when we argue. besides lot of artist have similar qualities and techniques based on that we can jugde, its only by that means can we identify our heroes

for me its biggie, nas, jay-z,jadakiss,shyne,, i go for lyrics delivery and poetical creativity
Glad you see what I am trying to say. smiley

Well we have a right to do many things. However it is not always so at times. My favourite car is a Lamborghini Mucielargo but, it do not mean it is the best sports car ever made. What is your favourite, do not mean it is the best. Further more, what is best to you, do not mean it is best to another person. it is highly subjective.

I just find these whole "who is best" debates tiring. It normally ends with no one agreeing, with no conclusive evidence. Instead, what we see are cheap shots, insults and people appearing to be putting their taste and will on others.
