^^ Put things into perspective isn't? It warmed my heart reading the kindness of our people. |
Only in Nigeria! So the TV people admitted to informing him of an impeding arrest? I can swear to God that is an arrestable offence. ![]() Also, why is he running? Why ain't the exist covered if the so called SSS wants to take him in? What a joke. |
Ricky came up against a better boxer. Pacman out boxed him and delivered better punches. Ricky appear to have no plan and he just keeps falling. The first right hook that brought him down in the first round is a school boy error on hatton's part. The knock out punch appeared well-time and Hatton just seem to walk right into it. It was reported that he needed a brain-scan after the match just to be on a safe side. Overall, the Filipino was a better boxer - he delivered 53punches or so and Hatton only managed 18. It is funny how ricky was boasting before the match, while in contrast the Pacman was all humble. Finally, I think the tattoo on the back of Ricky shouldn't be "HITMAN", it should be "SHITMAN". |

Horus:Well virus can spread via various means however, Air travel is the fastest means for this particular one. Even with the airport locked down, we still ain't totally safe. From what I can gather, it appears it is probably not as fast spreading like we all feared. So to answer your question, it depends on what part of the world you are, and the preparation in place. |
Oh wait. I got it now, will report back. |
ofokasibe:The website wont connect or even load. Can you re-check for me please. |
sbo:I agree with you too. Only thing I would however disagree with is this - If we have to break up for the greater good, then let us do it. I sometimes feel Ojukwu [Right spelling??] had the right idea back then. The chances of us undoing 40years plus of badly fundamentals remains to be seen. For it to happen, we are talking about a big change here, in fact, a revolutionary. You see, both are most likely not gonna happen in my opinion. So the next viable step is to actually break up the nation and each region can focus on itself and start afresh. yicob:It depends on where he is going. If he is coming here - UK - he wont need such security. |
God of War for me. I have DMC4 on my PS3, and it just don't have the motivation to play it again. |
I don't get it. I turned it of after 56 seconds. I just don't see the "funny" |
sbo:Well, it is as a result of 40years of mismanagement and Incompetency at the highest level. The speaker, is only been there for a time that isn't long enough to make effective changes. Hence, why I think he may be right in putting together his own little personal security. You see, these are some of the fundamental problems that I mention every now and then, that a few ignorant people just wont see. We as a nation have so many problems that is fundamentally flawed, and until we go back and start all over then we are just wasting time by going to false moves like "rebranding" "Think positive" etc. |
x_Theorist:Say what Okay thanks. I really do not see how this explained your original points. But any how, thanks. |
sbo:As much I would like to rip into action of the speaker. I have to be sensible here! There isnt much security in Nigeria, so perhaps the speaker as a high profile really needs to consider his own personal security? Let us compare likes for like, while the security and peace of mind exist in this nation, Nigeria is just a different ball game all together. |
Dis Guy:Haa. I wish I'm the one brokering the deal to be honest. The point is in my opinion, this is an isolated incident with an individual. Why should this affect the deal at hand? A deal that would potentially provide jobs for hundreds if not thousands of people. Nigeria have bad human rights record, however should the multinational companies not operate in our oil region as a result? No at all. As for being alarmist, I have always envisaged in my head that nuclear weapons [or detonation] is probably the Armageddon that would wipe out the human race. As a result, when it comes to nuclear deals I personally prefer having a western world spear-heading every aspect of it, than having a nation like NK, Syria, Iran et al have a chance to stab at it. I think that was the point I was trying to make. Dis Guy:Haa I see what you did there. And to be brutally honest, I actually believe the government move was a tactful and decisive one. While the law here may scream all it wants, it should be noted that one need to act like Romans, when dealing with Rome. Making "unofficial payments" is part of how business is conducted on a large scale when it involves the Arabs from what I can gather. |
x_Theorist:Quit acting like a pleb for god's sake. Your post wasn't only your opinion and hence it would be nice if you supported it with a news link. How hard is that? How many people read a thread and actively go searching the news that goes with it? Jesus flipping wept.bawomolo:I guess that was what I saw half asleep in the news. I really do not know how Obama will pull this one off though. Is it possible to make an amendment to the founding constitutions of America? I am talking about "The right to bear arm"? I suppose technically it may be possible. However, there will be oppositions from the usual suspects. |
^^ MKO Abiola. People tend to forget he was as corrupt as Abacha, and instead claim he is a hero for the people. Here is another quote from one of his songs: My people sef dey fear too much/We fear for the things we no see/we fear for the air around us/ we fear to justice/we fear to fight for liberty/we always get reason to fear/I no wan die/I get one child/Mama dey for house/Papa dey for house/me no wan dieAgain, this is very common with my people. We want change, yet cannot seem to make the moves necessary to make a change at times. Not a lot of people are willing to lay down their lives for the good of the nation or to make a change. |
I don't watch fox news. Surely you can do better and make a proper contribution? |
Black Haze messing about? ![]() |
congoshine:Some would argue that given the training and resources available to them, they did a good job. ![]() |
It is Abami eda. Looks like you've been away for long. ![]() |
I demand you use a map to explain your point. ![]() |
Google G1. Aka Andriod Phone. ![]() |
Bastage:Oh I see. I wasn't sure hence why I said "If memory serves me right". I could have bet my last pound that it was the American, but I guess I may be wrong. ![]() |
asha 80:http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ That is what you need. Just select "German to englsih translation" and then copy and paste the text. I personally do not believe in such things though, that alleged email could have been written by anyone. It may even be faux. |
In the third of a series of articles looking at policing in Nigeria, the BBC's Andrew Walker visits a prison in the south-eastern city of Enugu where some people who have not committed any crime are locked up for years on end:How the hell do one jail the mentally ill in such situation without adequate care? Usually they have committed no crime, or very minor ones that may not merit a custodial sentence anywhere else in the world. "I have a wife and three children. She is pregnant with another," he says as his eyes well up with tears. This story makes me feel sick and just annoyed with disbelief. In most part of the world I have visited, Police uphold the law and make sure it is enforced when necessary. However, they do not act as the Judge and Jury. How the heck do a police officer recommend putting someone in an asylum that is more or less a prison? What medical qualification or Psychiatric training do that policeman have? How do these things happen and no one makes a fuss about it? I guess, Only in Nigeria. Full story here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8023067.stm |
Another link and run I see. I will make a worthy post once the OP makes a worthy contribution. In other news, I wiped my arse with a soft toilet tissue today and damn, It feels good. |
It depends on what side of the fence you are. The people from the east and those who have sympathy or support for Islam would most likely see "US imperialism", While on the other hand, people who adore total freedom would see then as an indispensable force. Again, depends on what side you are it is possible to see the point Defence secretary was making. The US have shown the way in places where the rest of the world have avoided, a recent example is the Piracy issue off the somali coast. If memory serves me right, companies and nations have been paying up, until the US special forces took some decisive actions. Now, every nation is having a go and less people are paying. As I write this post, I just heard a report that Portuguese special forces just boarded a somali piracy ship and arrested the all the pirates on board. I suppose, one can argue that the US of America gave other nations the drive to act in such way. On the other hand, people will criticize the US and draw their ways to that of an imperialist for the wars in Iraq and the issue in the middle east due to their foreign policy. |
Akpangbon:I_laugh or another I_idiot type account, Hmmmmm. The words of the wise are apparently foolish to the uninitiated. ![]() |
Horus:The whole idea of issuing gloves and mask is to curtail the spread rate - The transmission rate of the virus. It at least potentially stops those having the virus to spread it on, and those free from the virus catching it. Virus are almost inactive in certain states, having no viable condition to thrive in is one of them. |
