Omo_Tier1: This is the impression you get when you only stroll around few streets in Benin! I know campaign is over but it is right to set facts straight and let truth be at all times. The development has been spread across the state and those that have traveled far and wide the state will attest to the fact that similar development you see in Benin can also be seen elsewhere in the state. Auchi, now has a dual carriage way with street lights, renovated schools just like you have in Benin! Not only in Auchi, in Orhiownon LGA, in Ovia, in Esan Central, etc but in several other local governments, you see intra-state road being constructed by the government and some schools, hospital renovate.

As for Airport road you mentioned, what you may not have known until now is that the project had to be redefined when it became apparent that the Benin water storm project MUST encompass airport road hence beyond the Benin Airport end of the road, new water way had to be redefined way to Iyekogba river and same goes with the road!

In summary, no body is saying the goverment in power is 100% perfect, but the people of the state has seen the difference between a responsible government accountable to the people and the one that tells you "allocation is yet to come from Abuja hence roads can not be patched nor new ones built"..

In the eyes of the blind a one eyed man is the king... I find it difficult to CRITICISE Oshomohle cause Igbinedion was a monumental failure and his failure goes beyond party problem but individual ineptitude... Haven sPENT my last nine years in Benin, I ll say he has a mind to work but his works are far less than the publicity he is getting compared to the level of hope he raise.
d .He ll never do better in second tenure, mark it as usual with ACN in particular and Nigeria in general.. With the level of taxation and increased allocation coupled with his less wasteful attitude he should have been able to complete more projects.. Well if the people want him back so be it after the devil u knw s better than the unknown Nigel but anything come out a devil?

You are not right and wrong with this post. Wrong in the sense that a 1983 dream would steer Naija in the right direction in 2012, and the fact that Buhari was and will always be a coup plotter, who's various appointments and service was a result of illegal regimes that got us to the current mess we have till date.

Where I can give you some slack is the sense that the Buhari (illegal) regime was not as wasteful as the OBJ-Yar Adua-GEJ click, along with poor governors, dumm lazy legislators, and coward parties called ACN, APGA, and ANPP.

One person rightfully said that Buhari had less than 20 ministers, 20 states, and less "big government", and apparantly, did better than the thieves of today.
