No to legislation of the office of the first lady.. Not convinient in the Nigerian polity due to lack of trust.. It will make many feel the first family will be wielding enormous powers( political and economic powers ) .. Ngozi Iweala is only informing you, don't say she didn't when it happens.. You can only call hers all sorts of names because you are opportuned to however don't ignore the message. |
This doesn't make sense if true.. The governor is up to something |
I will take most comments here on nairaland as comics signifying no real value or meaning in the context of governance and reality.. People just make comments carelessly depicting who they are.. Some even insults their parents or probably beat them up so am not gonna be surprised at your show of shame here on NL.. Another dimension to many stupidity here is also the fact that many who never dreamt of even coughing because of their dumbness and timidity maybe due to low self esteem or low lives can now do that comfortably from the comfort of the obscurity offered by sociomedia after all the reality of freedom of speech and FOI are done on them.. But learn to be respectful cos it might be your turn tomorrow... I say this not because am perturbed neither is aso rock even aware of my positions or are they even reading your display of indecency and ack of home training but because of many well brought up fellows among us who take solace in reading posts and comments on this medium, pls lets not corrupt their minds to be irresponsible fellows.. Back to the topic.., health and economy should be viewed mutually... Yes wheats have a lower glycemic index than cassava, however we cannot produce wheat and are sole dependent on importation.. Cassava has a medium level index which makes it not solely responsible for the exacebation of blood sugar level in a diabetic.. Be informed that carbohydrate is not a causal factor of diabetics however carbohydrate metabolism is compromised in diabetic mellitus bringing about excess carbohydrate or call it blood sugar with resultant multisystemic, devastating effects... However, experts nutritional experts as stated above @jmaine post, has advocated a mix of both cassava( majorly carbohydrate) and other food items like legumes , wheat etc, so wheat is not the only alternative here.. Back to the economy, Nigeria had been wasting a large chunk of money on importation and subsidizing wheats.. When cassava which we have in abundance can serve exactly same.. The idea of this policy i think is to encourage our own local products which if well harnessed, Nigeria can even make large scale exports of this products.. Not only will it bring economic prosperity in the long run but the the envisioned revolution we ll help develop our agricultural sector via this revolution... If I may ask, how many percentage of our population are diabetic? Not up to 10% I think... Do we jeopardize the future of our long desired diversification of economy because of a meager percentage( not insinuating they r not important anyway) but their are better alternatives to help them out in eventualities... So let us seek information before opening that gutters to talk trash.. |
Bleep you haters, the north can burn for all I care! If you were too smart or lucky you would have been president today... Obama or Carson that made that comment was right, this country was impoverished and wrecked despite our oil.. Which they deprived the actual owners of the benefits, they stashed the money shared it among themselves, allocated the oil wells within themselves.. When we complained, they sent military men after us, killed our young men, women and children.., enjoy the reward of cursed oil, the reward of the blood of biafrans, blood of Adaka boro, ken saro wiwa andmen of good standings..Now we are wise, their weakness is gradually unfolding.. It's paining them gaga o( stereo man) that our son is in power, they will soon loose their grips on our oil, they devised all sorts of security challenges to underscore the govt all becos of 2015.. Their people bought their ideas still because of the same poverty which bred ignorance and illiteracy both bred religious indoctrination with Boko HARAMISH end results... We are watching, whichever way Nigeria being at the precipice, we ll see who will be at the losing end.. Fools!! |

Whoever, be it Obama or johnie Carson is on point... Poverty breed illiteracy in the north, illiteracy brought about ignorance, ignorance brought religious indoctrination with resultant Boko HARAMISH principles coupled with political influence which still capitalized on the first two factors.. However, Nigeria may be at the precipice if the situation spirals off control but by then the core north would have been worse than Somalia.. Who will then lose...? If u like blame govt or that clueless southern man till eternity... America with all it's arsenal and sophistications have not succeeded on the war on terror.. The northern elites e.g Abacha, IBB, Buhari aka Jihadist, Abdusalami, Shagari, I ll excuse Gowon, should be blamed for impoverishing the country including their own people, clowns! |

Rossikk: Obama abeg go siddon. Even YOU are a suspect. How are we sure it wasn't your CIA that ''brought'' Boko Haram to Nigeria? We already know BH have AL Qaeda links, and that Al Qaeda have CIA links. In fact in Libya and Syria, NATO forces collaborated strongly with Al Qaeda elements and that's no secret. So YOU, Mr Obama, and your country (USA) are strong suspects in the whole Boko Haram issue. So in your futile imagination what do you think is Obama or the CIA's aim? |
peckhamboi: Please let us compile the names and shame the 40 man lap top crew.insanity at the highest level, some guys won't stop to amaze me, lol... Where are the other names? Ode! |
If I may ask is nairaland campaigning for ACN ? Cos I dey see Adams campaign pose o... Well na biz and politics, a free world.. Come to the topic, we don't underestimate anybody in politics.. PDP has the strength to win as much as ACN maybe standing a better chance.. But someone should advise ACN to stop raising false alarms to attract sympathy and attention from Edo people.. If you have done well, your work will speak for you... Wishing Edo, a peaceful election |
Now let the confessions continue!! We are all ears............... |
I have no problem with Bakare's venture into active politics... He started as a critic back in the Abacha days.. I would say we need more bible preaching goons in politics but Bakare has deviated from being a messenger of truth with recent developments... Since after the April 2011 elections, he seem to be too emotional about govt.. As a man of God he is obliged to help build and not to pull down.. His recent outbursts and loose statements are indication to the fact that there are more to just being a critic of bad governance. . He needs rediscover himself |
Theblessed: [size=16pt]What a smart girl! As if you knew, when you told him that fib.I guess you are a lady why you are sounding this way... Ask OP if she has said all the truth? You don't need to go that far to test a man's love, you will be hurt... The guy could have been put off by her attitude.. Some ladies are just too arrogant in a relationship if they are of better socioeconomic status.... Just hope she hasn't lost a gold.. Well she's welcome, my arms are wide open |
It will take a guy with good self esteem and confidence to date a richer girl... There will always be problem, so put that in consideration next time ... |
Good work speaks for self... Empowering 1200 Nigerians with ingenuity.. Imagine the likes of Dangote's here . Imagine the ripple effects this can bring to Nigeria in 20yrs from now.. Exactly the vision the founding fathers of America have why USA is a success story of a model for capitalism.... Nice one , GEJ, nice innovation by NOI and Aganga and every other persons involved both directly or indirectly for the actualisation of this dream.. I also congratulate haters for you still have a way of putting govt on their toes... Nigeria is getting it right. |
How long can we manage dis deceit called " project Nigeria"? We can make it work if we chose that part... |
That was a brave and dramatic@ beat, Gbawe, dedeike, Kobojunkie.... But what irritates most is obvious denial of the truth, calling the dog a bad name in order to hang it.... Leaders strive for goals , they achieve some or a lot but may never get it 100%. Well constructed criticisms are incredit for success in a true democratic institutions but when you have nothing good to see or say about your govt, it is either you are being guided by parochial sentiment or you are a misfit to your society.... Either way you are a lost soul... Some level of patriotism demands you keep hope in your country especially in the face of daunting challenges but some peeps, I won't reort to name callings, business's is on concocting lies against govt, looking at every slightest loophole to discredit govt , all sorts of name calling and most annoying, messengers of renowned failing politicians... If I may ask, who are the enemies of Nigeria? You or the people who believe just like an average American on defending their nation from external awks first while we tell ourselves the truth to our face... People who chose not to let their country be totally ridiculed by it can't be anyone else's politicians...who do not give a hoot if Nigeria is brought to ruin as long as one GEJ is in power? Common peeps! Nigeria is enmassed in so many challenges which can't be solved in one year, but this govt is working and the facts are there however we need more, right? ... Obama has not been able to meet the American dream despite the hope he raised, go and ask Oshiomohle, how governance is, he will tell you the more you look the less you see... It is easier to CRITICISE, pull down, rain abuses, be a hireling of destabilizers but before you CRITICISE, how well are you managing your small self, family and business talk of a controversial and comopolitan geographical enclave like Nigeria... Pray for your country and stop being used... |
Gbawe:@ Gbawe, you are such a sleek, an habitual liar who can fabricate anything to drive home his point... Convince this forum that you, your group and your loser sponsors don't have a well articulated plan and mission on this trend... Nigerians are not stupid when prosecution of culprits commence we ll know who looks stupid .. In the meantime stop misleading us |
Wait a minute! Which report is indicting Imoukhuede? Is it that famous sorry I mean infamous facrook's ? Common we should discuss something more reasonable rather than fables, a ruse. It is only in Nigeria such reports are being referred to.. However, the source is a sham, not impeccable .. Wait for a more reliable source so for now I need to catch a sleep.. |
alj harem: LOLThese two governors by origin or affiliation am conversant with, with due consideration to the resources available to them and the level of hopes they raised before coming into power e.g Oshomohle, cannot be said to be best governors. However, they have lived above boards.. Wat ll u say of Akpabio, Amaechi, Sullivan and co.. CORRECTION: They are among the performing govs.. |
Why are Soyinka and Bakare always in the game of steering controversies.. Am in different whether MKO Iis declared an ex- pres or not... But we must learn to acknowledge him in little ways first before that.... These same men were part of the people that called GEJ names when Unilag was renamed after the same man... You see how people dwindle their popularity and belittle their opinions?SMH |
It beats me hollow that this same man has the effrontery to comment in criticisms every activity of government led by GEJ... El Rufai in his imaginative thought had positioned himself as Obj's successor, had written Bihari off as a religious extremist who was perpetually unelectable, he has said Obj was the best thing to happen to Africa not Nigeria only... He became power drunk and impoverished thousands of Nigerians with ripple effects.. He confiscated so many lands, gave them out as gift for his friends, well wishers and concubines alike..... If I may ask hell Rufai why has your testimonies on Obj and Buhari changed? Because your wishful thinking was not granted you, Obj and PDP are the evil bedeviling the nation... Pls mr hell Rufai, it will serve your interest well to keep mute on national events so Nigerians can forget your atrocities in a Gifffy cos we forget so easily but the THE MORE YOU CRITICIZE ANYBODY THE MORE YOU ATTRACT SYMPATHY AND SUPPORT FOR SAME COS WE KNOW THE DEVIL CANNOT REPENT, SO STOP ACTING HOLIER THAN POPE |
This article is embellished in hate and parochial sentiments... Obj did his part and he's off the scene... He laid a template for the country to run but unfortunately Yar Adua of blessed memory didn't quite follow Obasanjo's economic master plan wanted to carve his own niche against the promises he made during his campaign to follow suit in Obj economic transformation.. Yar Adua though a good man who met well for Nigeria( will not question his attention, tho some ll say it was because of the precarious situation he found himself) allowed hawks like Ibori and some northern elites to hijack his govt against OBasanjo's legacies and interest.. Looking at the economy obj inherited in 1999, when Nigeria was at a verge of being compared with Somalia, you ll agree that obj tried for the country in resharpening the economy, giving us a blueprint and the ball was set rolling. in terms of corruption he got the guts to make landmark prosecution though u may call it a selective justice but my question is we're those people guilty or not? GEJ didn't meet exactly the structure as left by obj which would have made his work quite easier because of the interregnum with Yardua but the agenda seem similar..Economic reengineering and the admin has not failed in this regard.. Just in a year so much are being achieved as some nairalanders have highlighted over and over again in this forum so I may not recap, but that is not to say that this govt doesn't have shortcomings ESP in the area of security ..a dimension taking us all aback though majority of Nigerians knw these are politically orchestrated and good will soon triumph over evil.. In the area of prosecuting indicted and culpable characters in the oil sector revolution good! But have we asked ourselves what brought about these probes? The president's determined stance to enthrone equitability and transparency and surely the issue will be logically concluded until then let us keep our peace and watch. How abt other reforms ongoing? The problem with us nigerians( I inclusive) is impatient, tho we have been patient in successive years of military misrule and over 10yrs of nascent democratic dispensation but I think the aura is becoming good... Y saboteurs are not relenting to destabilize and mislead many to lose faith in the system and govt.. Back to the journalist, I will suggest you become more objective and carry out proper research before pening however I am more curious because each time I read your article against govt, it is always retweeted or circulated by el Rufai, a chronic and unrepentant critic of this admin who can sell his soul in exchange for GEJ to fail... But power belongs to God not man |
Kobojunkie: How far has all the prayers you have offered up gotten you and Nigeria? Over 1 Trillion dollars stolen by less than 0.1% of the populace while poverty rate continues to rise each and every year. Worse violence and terrorism has over time come to be considered the norm in the Nation, and those in power continue to invoke the name of God rather than show the substance of all they claim to have been working on.....and ATIKU stole 17% of the 1 trillion dollars...... |
This Guy is just a bastard.. Pls his boot lickers on nairaland should tell him to stop wasting his resources spearheading futile campaigns of calumny because a dead GEJ IS MORE CREDIBLE THAN A NON GAY, INCORRRUPTIBLE AND A NON BOKO HARAMISH ATIKU.... I stand a chance to rule Nigeria before you so wait for your turn in hell... Ole! |
Kobojunkie: It is time you folks grow a brain. If you do not have proof of this,it is best you learn do away with the puerile attempts at attacks, and focus your energy instead on finding those to really blame for the situation.@ Kobojunkie, you have just made it glaring that you are a paid agent of these blood sucking demons and agents of destabilization in this country.... Be careful cos you could be among those that will be visited mysteriously because goody will soon triumph over evil.... |
ayox2003: In a sane society GEJ would have been impeached. Why don't you lead the impeachment move ? If you are bereft of reasonable contribution just keep your mouth shut |
It's time the Beroms take this as an act of war just as the southern Kaduna people are doing, take your fate in your hands... Govt should stop playing to the gallery here, these falanis don't want peace, yes, their castles were unlawfully murdered but they obviously have more regards for cattles than the sanctity of the human lives.. Go out against them. As regards the rumor of conspiracy by the members of STF sympathizing with these Fulani herdsmen to commit onslaughts I will not doubt it.. These Hausa Fulanis have an agenda and they will use whatever means to achieve it including security personnel.. It baffles me how laziness has costed the Beroms these pains that strangers you harboured are now claiming the territorial right of their lands... A pathetic situation... |
A necessary inconvenience ... Safety first |
The UK authority should first look inwards for the numerous bogus institutions giving bogus admissions to bogus students.. Then they can come let's dialogue.. For now it's their flicking headaches |
You guys may be goofing.. I don't believe the reality of this post.. Maybe the Barkin Laden incidence of 2 yrs ago... |
They will get their severance package and the privatization will be concluded in earnest... This govt can't afford to joke with an issue as this cause power remains a foremost priority... Encourage the govt to succeed |
