ACHEBE? Overrated?? My father shouldn't hear this.

They were equally fantastic writers, you mustn't put one down to uplift another, I just reread "Things Fall Apart" yesterday and sincerely I noted the genius in Achebe's writing, especially noting that this was a book he had written as a young lad in his early 20s, you could reread it as well, if you feel that he was overrated.

I'm a south eastern Igbo but that ika dialect is way easier than most of south eastern Igbo dialects, from what I saw in the video I can boldly say I understand Ika dialect perfectly cos I heard and comprehend all she said with ease.

So, it would be unreasonable to say Ika isn't igboid dialect.

As an awka man i can tell you that the dialect there seems more intelligible to me than the ebonyi dialect, I don't even know if the language ebonyi people speak can be considered as igbo.

bendel State were carve out from mid-West,
that means Delta and edo were also part of mid-Western,
onitsha was part of benin kingdom, which means onitsha will also be carve out from biafra.

Northeast is made up of 48% frustrated native Christians who were used to fight the civil war.

Northwest has 50% frustrated native Christians who were used by the north to fight the civil war.

middle belt has 80% frustrated natives Christians who where used by the north to fight the civil war.

now the people in these zones who where used to fight the civil war are now sooo frustrated, brutalized and usurped by the fulanis so much so that they will never have anything to do with them ever!

the southwest, even thou unpredictable, will definitely not fight on the side of fulani north.

The days when this Nnamdi Kanu guy could have been taken seriously have passed, the average Igbo man doesn't see Kanu as an accurate representation of what he believes. At the height of the frenzy, some perceived the guy as a tout looking for clout, but now he has lost every semblance of influence in the south east and Igboland.

Let it be known now, Nnamdi Kanu does not represent me as an igbo person.

Same way everyone from the north is called "Hausa".

You have a good point, but I feel It's quite different for larger ethnic groups in the middle belt, they have a level of ethnic identity, an idoma is called idoma, a tivi is called a tiv, same for ebiras, but here in the south south, ethnic groups as large as the ijaw still find it hard identity themselves as ijaw.

What's the big deal here? My name is Uchenna Nwaobiaeri, I am not Igbo, I am Ekwulu. The word for "no" in my language is "eene" while the Igbo say "mba". The word ''here'' means ''ebea" in Igbo while my people say ''kana'', So what gives? Igbo people should leave us alone, na by force? Ah ah!

It is very frustrating explaining to people that I am not Igbo, my name Uchenna Nwaobiaeri is definitely not Igbo, my ethnic group is not Igbo. Igbos should really stop this madness.

Romance / Re: How Did You Find Out That You're Being Cheated On? by EmekusTHEgreat(m): 10:51pm On Jul 13, 2019
Lemme drop mine here under the cloak of anonymousity, happened back in 2016. I was in my third year, she was in her first year, she wasn't my first girlfriend and I wasn't her's either, but she was the one that really got to me, like my first real love, the first one I ever opened my soul to.

NOTE THAT I'm a very suspicious person, I tend to expect the worst from people and most times they don't fall short of expectations.

So the story goes like this; I and this dark skinned beauty had been dating for a some months then. if you've dated in university you would know that going on long vacations is the real test of strength for any university relationship (except where the couple lives close by, in the same state or city). So there we were, we would be apart for the first time since we started dating, I had to leave my school in the East to go home in Kaduna while she had to go to Lagos where her family lives. She had calmed my suspicions with her soft, convincing words and her beautiful smile, she had often told me that she could never cheat in a relationship, and of course like a fool in love I believed her. I called everyday and tried to know everything that went down in her day, not for the sake of distrust but just to show her that I cared. One random evening, around 7:30, I called her and I noticed that she seemed off, a bit unsettled and on alert, I asked her where she was and she started stammering - something she never did, she's soft-spoken but never stammers - she's said that she had gone to see a friend in a hotel near her house, I asked which friend and her response seemed like she was lying, as it always does, my mind started racing, raising red flags but I shaked it all off. I might have seemed a bit angry and maybe the way I spoke really got to her that evening (calm but aggressive, not a regular trait of mine), or maybe she was just uneasy, who knows. When school was back on session and we were back together after the long vacation, my mind just ran back to that day and something told me that I should ask about it, as usual she seemed to be a bit edgy, this really triggered me, but I didn't make it obvious, however from that moment I made it a point to know what went down that day..

Now this side note is for the gents out there, when a lady starts playing the "so you don't trust me" card then guy, just know that she's hiding something and you have all reason to not trust her...

One day I managed to get into her Facebook account, she had logged into it with my phone and forgot to log out (rooky mistake, right!), so I took the platter-given opportunity to do some "investigating", after a really long night and really weird chats, I ran into her dm with her THEN bestfriend, where she had told her that she suspects that I know what she did that summer, the friend encouraged her to continue lying and telling me that nothing happened, I scrolled abit further up and saw what she had been hiding from me, happens that her ex boyfriend had invited her to his hotel room and she decided to go pay him a little visit, deep down I know she was Hot and just wanted to feel something intimate, well, she got what she wanted, they had sex, she let him have sex with her, for "closure". It happens that immediately she was leaving the hotel, my call had come through, that was what made her edgy. It really pained me, I felt betrayed.

I had prior made it a rule to never cry because of a woman who wasn't my mom or sister but damn!, that day was my exception, I cried like a frickin baby.
After the tears, I confronted her and at first she played the "so you don't trust me" card, so I brought up the evidence and she came clean, I realized that she still loved the guy, she apologized and explained the whole thing to me, I told her to resolve whatever she had with him, and I guess she did.

You only supported atiku because peter Obi was his running mate.

Boy, even before Peter Obi, was announced as his running mate igbos voted for him in the primaries. Well igbos don't have a hive mind, different people have different reasons.. I for one do not like Buhari. The Buhari who threatened to kill all igbos in the North prior to the 2015 election, as an Igbo man living in the North, I took personal offense to this and till today I still resent his irregard for life and power-mongery.
Now another point would be the imprisonment of Ekwueme, the most respected Igbo politician of his time, this man represents the peak of where the Igbo race has managed to ascend since the start of the current republic, and your MCM imprisoned him in kirikiri while the perpetrating president (Shagari) was served under house arrest, you can bring up dikko and try to say that Buhari was in the clear and unsentimental, but I know for one buhari had a personal beef with dikko and more so it was idiagbon who really did the pursuit, you can now see that Buhari does not love the Igbo people,

Phones / Re: My Samsung A10 Experience by EmekusTHEgreat(m): 3:40pm On Jul 10, 2019
Cannonleo:
This is going to be a short thread , but i want to detail my experience with the A10 over the course of 4days.
I immediately fell in love with the device when i first saw the review on youtube three months ago, for the fact i was stuck with htc devices all my life and never tried another device except itel (twice). I literarily drooled at it but was finacially incapacitated, the downside though was the lack of a fingerprint sensor and the 2gb ram which however have proven me wrong in memory optimization.

My house was swamped recently by rain in my place of service(nysc) and i lost my last htc device to the flood and some other belongings. I had two options, to either get another htc device or go get this phone with my last card.

I decided to get this phone at least for battery sake and most importantly i wanted to change my device line cos i was done with htc totally.

Pros: muti tasking is really sweet on the A10, the split screen mode enables me run my apps simutenously without lag, imagine playing a game and see viewing twitter feeds.

Thank you

Nice review, I hope you continue to enjoy the device

Exactly my point. Black Americans are not really interested in equality, they are just jealous of they successes of the Non-Poc. They use every means possible to oppress this people, and are the ones that cry the loudest if an event excludes them or hurt them racially.

* i am still waiting for a white girl to come and be shouting white girl magic they way the blacks shout #blackgirlmagic.
* They will almost kill a Non-poc that calls them N**, but its okay when they say it to each other in public.
* I have read advertisements calling all black people to only buy black owned products so as to promote black owned companies.....so many things is wrong with this one.
* there is no way in hell a Non-poc would organize an event and asked them to pay more. for a group that is a victim of racism, this is an open racism coming from them.

Essentialism is bad, and i am not saying all blacks are like this. some work really hard for everything they have while fighting oppression and racism. some are just entitled people who think they should get paid because their ancestors were slaves.

instead of crying on social media and everywhere, if more blacks paid attention to what matters.....education,techs,politics etc, other race would start to respect them because they would have included themselves in the sectors that matter the most and not worship black celebrities.

Well said, what blacks have is an entitled mindset.
