Religion / Re: What's The Important Of Bell In The Church by EmekusTHEgreat(m): 7:03am On Aug 04, 2019
A church bell or "Sanctus bell" in the Christian tradition is a bell which is rung in a church for a variety of ceremonial purposes, and can be heard outside the building. Traditionally they are used to call worshippers to the church for a communal service, and to announce times of daily prayer. They are also rung on special occasions such as a wedding, or a funeral/memorial service. The ringing of church bells, in the Christian tradition, interestingly is also believed to drive out demons.
In Nigeria today church bells are rare, most new churches don't make room for these and even the old churches might not have a functional church bell, some modern Anglican & Catholic churches do have electric bells.

Most Pentecostal churches won't have church bells for a number of reasons; their divergence from traditional Christian practises which they feel might not really have any significance to core principles of Christ, and of course there is the COST, church bells are expensive, heavy and difficult to install & maintain, in Africa, lots of churches are set up by people with little capital, having a church bell is not feasible for most.

Romance / Re: Does Being Muscular Really Attract Ladies To A Man? by EmekusTHEgreat(m): 10:46pm On Aug 03, 2019
HealingHeart:

When they meet you, they'll look at your face first, then your body. If they like what they see, they'll be attracted to you. Of course, if they are in a hurry to settle down, your financial status may hurt your chances with them.

Let's be frank, money is important in a relationship. But you need to have the looks that attract women, otherwise you're no different from a sugar daddy.

'Na money be fine bobo' I'm sure you've heard that phrase before. Brother, it's the money that attracts 90% of women, a fine face is just an add-on.

I and some friends did a little survey on this with a group of 50 female students on our campus back in 2016.

Different people have their preferences sha but most often money wins.

Politics / Re: "Entrepreneurship Development And Security Challenges In Nigeria" by EmekusTHEgreat(m): 7:28pm On Jul 31, 2019
I'll assume you're talking about social security and not financial security.

I feel that the Nigerian economy is not suffering as a result of social security, business activities are booming as they always have in Lagos, PH, onitsha and Kano (the nations' prime commercial cities) even with the existence of insurgency in the north east, mostly because the affected areas are enclosed and the violence doesn't seem to be spreading. I am of the opinion that the real factors which are affecting enterprenuarship in Nigeria are:

1. Energy supply, the inavailability of energy adds to the rising cost of entrepreneurship, small businesses spend more on energy than counterparts in other countries, take for instance tailors who would be faster and more effective with modern sowing machines but have to settle for the outdated versions due to energy supply.
2. Access to credit facilities, this one basically explains itself, firms need credit to grow, and this is really hampering growth in Nigeria. Banks don't lend out, some months ago the CBN governor complained about this.
3 Importation and protectionist policies, just recently PMB signed a bill which would further eliminate restrictions on our borders, this might not seem like a bigdeal to casual observers, but might have just signed a death certificate here, considering that cost of labor is significantly cheaper in other West African countries, and likewise cost of production, how are small-strugglig firms supposed to fare. Also one has to consider that possibility of FOREIGN INVESTORS, rallying to these countries, I mean if you would spend less on labor and less on energy but could easily transport your goods to Nigeria why bother actually investing in Nigeria.
There are a number of other factors but as business climate, transportation facilities and access to raw material, but I believe these are the most pressing factors in 2019.

Shalom.

*Sighs*

Umu azi and WILD claims..

the same UNIZIK that is like an evil forest on the inside.

Let me rephrase the post title for you, for ehh.. accuracy....

Unizik MIGHT BE ONE OF THE most beautiful FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES in SOUTHEASTERN Nigeria...

there you go!

what does beauty matter anyways, HARVARD isn't by any means the most beautiful school in the US. neither is YALE, it's the content and not the book cover.
But since we've sunk so low to argue about buildings and greenary and not acclaimed professors and educators, we could as well spend the next hour arguing about how ABU and CU amongst a host of other well designed schools easily beat your unizik,

The first time I entered UNIZIK in 2014 I was disappointed, the infrastructure is better now, but still it's not by any means the BEST..

How then do you explain the asteroid strike that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs? Or, very recently, the one that exploded over Russia in 2013.

The asteroid that sent the dinosaurs into extinction might have been in accordance with the grand plans of these "being" that they are talking about, maybe they wanted a clean slate (planet) void of creatures that could have made life for humanity alot more difficult..

I broke up with her just last month and I have move on fine although sometimes I miss her but I throw away such feelings immediately they appear.

I broke up with her due to her cunning and cheating nature but the problem here is that whenever any one ask her of me she replies them with anger and people have been telling she is really bitter towards me.

Someone came to my house and told me she said she will never forgive me that when I was sick she was there for me but she has forgotten I was also there for her and my own sacrifices I made towards her, well am not move by such manipulation.

My problem now is that some people are telling me to beg her for forgiveness even if we won't be together but for the sake of peace and to forget the past BUT that is against my principle because doing that will give her a kind of victory and feeling that I miss her.

My Intuition is telling me to ignore her that a time will come when she will realise her mistakes and be the one to call me up, I just have this deep conviction in me to just allow her be and keep hating for all I care.

Please I would like your advice concerning this issue.
Thanks.

I understand what you're saying but I have to ask, did you by any chance disvirgin this lady, that might be what she means by "sacrifice".

CORRECTION.
Married men cheat, married women cheat(more effectively and more often).

Quote me anywhere, studies have been carried out on this bruh. Forget all the foul-crying.

P.s; I'm not saying that all women cheat, I'm saying that if a woman cheats, you probably wouldn't know about it, men are clumsy and not as secretive (apart from those Yoruba demons, avoid them).
