i have always believe the most effective poverty alleviation programme is through family planning or population control. YouWin, keke napep and all sort of mumbo jumbo are not the way forward in poverty alleviation, they are like a drop of water in the ocean. Someone whose household income can barely cater for two kids, and breeds seven, needs to be punished. People can not be allowed to continue to breed nuisance. Almajiri, street urchins and area boys are most of the times, offshoot of this despicable attitude. Imagine government declaring free education in a public school, and the parent can still not afford to feed the child, on further probe, you find out the father is one irresponsible lot, and the mother has seven little mouths to feed. |
you mean President Tinubu, the one elected on April 16, 2011 by "22 million" nigerians |
That pix would have made a whole lot of sense, without the camera man with the very bogus camera in the background. Although, the governor was trying to do that for the camera, he did not mask it reasonably. |
Good one, Get Ready to DIE for your cause. Get it done or DIE trying ! |
Hey Op, I guess you and your wife were so busy in a different room ....., and the left alone cuties also got busy in . 1-1 lol |
Any one who plants bomb tomorrow, will blow up himself only, |
@OP, are you a dundeeee or what?. E-nice summarizes it well |
Though too early to call, my only fear is Oyo state, I feel it is the least sophisticated state politically, DECADES of the Adedibu, Amala politics have enthrenched a negative type of psychology in to the populace, There is a way the abnormal seems so normal after a very long time, The complains i get is Ajimobi does not spend and release money like Akala (i shake my head when i hear this), others are no one governs Oyo more than once.. i stand to be corrected, it is the least educated state in the south west. Ajimobi need more than an average performance. |
i can see a mosque in the background ! |
Oshiomole will win 60%+ of total votes cast.... |
@Olalekan0, you are trying to compare over 4 years with a year. Akala had lots of shoddy works in roads, building and hospital. 2 oyo state house of assembly members from PDP&Accord just decamped to ACN. I stay in ib over 50% of the time. Are you a PDP member? |
who ever wrote this, should pleassssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee, SHUT UP |
This Farcrook Liewan sef.... ![]() |
Never again should any man or woman use wedding gown and suit as an excuse for not going to the altar. ![]()

spits on thread ![]() |
There are so many daft Nigerians, which translates to daft electorates. All the smart crook politician needs to keep the major daft electorates in control is a "spin and sell" Most especially if the "spin and sell" is webbed around religion and tribe |
A great piece !!! Wow !!!! |
This is a laudable initiative. !!!!! i believe this is meant to work like a mobile library for the students. A typical desktop workstation is way costly to set up than this, and limits the student access to just 8am - 3pm on school days. It is way different from a desktop computer, as there is virtually constant access to the information 24 hours from Sunday to Sunday, except when the battery is down. I dont think they will be provide internet access on the tablet to those who fear that might encourage students watching indecency. The State government can then configure the tablet to be read only, such that information can not be deleted or stored by the students on the tablet except by the manufacturer.( that way no student can download music or games) Imagine a situation where a science students has Modern biology , Ababio chemistry, P.n Okeke Physics e.t.c all the 9 textbooks for the 9 subjects on a single tablet A teacher can even give out assignments on their mobile textbooks The tablet also has advantage than a laptop, as it would be more compact, easy to carry and charge. Service centres need to be opened across the states for repairs, and students need to be adequately trained on how to operate and handle the tablets with care. I see great success with this initiative, but they must thread with caution, poor project planning means a great loss to the state My greatest fear is the fund,This will set the state bottomline back by roughly 10 billion Naira all other cons by some posters mentioned can be easily surmounted. i believe the average population of a s.s1 - s.s 3 class should be 500 students, and Osun state should have roughly 500 state owned government schools. That equals 500 * 500 = 250,000 tablets Those tablets with the functionalities might cost over N30,000. 250,000 tablets * N30,000 = N7.5 billion Naira. Other expenses like spares, service centre, training will push the total cost to the N10 billion. N10 billion is no small money for a state like Osun state to gamble with, there are other pressing educational needs in the state in the primary and junior secondary arm of the state schools |
Painful but necessary move. The time to sack is now, not sacking few months to major election like some Former AD governors. N |
Many here are too idealistic with their choice of candidate to unseat the PDP. Can anyone underrate a man who had 11million votes from the North and roughly 1.5 million votes from the South with a relatively new political structure and less fund to spend ? Buhari achieved above, using a "non-politician" as a running mate. He couldnt really campaign in the South coz he lacked the fund and the political structure. A merger with ACN and a Fashola as VP will boost his resume in the south, with ACN providing political structure and fund. One thing is clear, the Jonathan can no longer get as much votes as he got in the North again. I am not even sure the PDP northern governors will not work against him if he contest in 2015, unlike 2011, where they were arm twisted(Northern governors even supported Buhari's threat statement last month). Buhari will surely perform better in the North than 2011. 11million can improve to 14-15 million votes in 2015 A Buhari / Fashola ticket needs to improve the southern votes from the barely 1.5 million votes in 2011 to at least 6 million votes. This is not difficult to achieve. sw votes - 75% SE votes -15% , SS votes - 20% can bring about the 6 million votes. other possible, but weaker alliance is Buhari / Rochas or Buhari/ Ngige |
Alxmyr: Unfortunately, despite your anger. MAULAG stays.(1)UNILAG values its brand, more than those schools. (2) UNILAG is a First Generation university, those schools are not(they are second or third generation universities) (3) There were no complaints from the stakeholders of the school, if any, were not loud enough. (4) You cant expunge a name from a brand. (5) All Nigerian Universities still depend on foreign grants for research work, name change is capable of reducing such By the way, are you one of the UNILAG admission rejects ?, I am aware UNILAG has the highest university admission rejects in the country |
Possibilities !!!! Ironically, as of today, still the best foot the opposition can put forward. It is not an ideal combo, IT IS A COMBO facing reality |
Committee - A Group of the unwilling, picked from the unfit, to do the unnecessary. ![]() |
A lie from the pit of hell. UNILAG stays ! ![]() |
You met him on facebook April 2011, you were pregnant for him by August 2011 ![]() You bankrolled the marriage with 3.5 million naira, he spent 0.015million naira. Lady, it seems to me you were a desperate fool ![]() |
The answer is missing in the option. PDP is the answer |
By the end of the day, I will make sure that this will not repeat itself in the country.” Who is he?, even Obama will not make this vow in America. Jonathan vows should be taken with the pinch of salt |
^^^ it is really pathetic. I heard of a gist one time, of a man(casual observer) at a car accident scene liting up his cigarette from a burning vehicle. |
^^^, should be in BENUE state |
This kind of report make some people PEE IN THEIR PANTIES |
djustice: Actually, DUMMY, in 2007, the Lagos State House of Assembly passed a similar law, Law 11 of 2007, which guaranteed Bola Ahmed Tinubu the exact same benefits Amaechi has just foolishly awarded himself. What is law 11 of 2007? . most of your posts reeks of deep seated hatred for Tinubu. Are you Bode George? |
