This wont fly unfortunately and painfully, time would confirm
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Commissions Rice Mill by emiye(m): 11:54am On May 16, 2012
The Governor added that the Rice mill story started four years ago when he was sworn in to office and he was n informed that the rice production capacity of the state yearly is 30 hectares.
He added that through sustained efforts spread over two and half years, it was increased to 250 hectares, adding that government was also concerned about embarking upon strategic irrigation to keep the farm wet always.
“We resolved to do 500 hectares per annum but we were now told, if you do this, how do you process it?. So, we decided in 2011 to building this processing mill before we increase production so that there will be no wastages when we achieve increase production”.

“But also we had a problem of yield per hectare. We are doing average of one ton per hectare and we want to go to at least two hectares and progress from there. So, in Araga, Badagry, we are doing a strategic irrigation intervention that will keep the field land wet all through the year with water to grow the rice. In addition we have also written to the minister of agric to give us land in the River Basin Authority. I am made to understand that that request is receiving favourable consideration”, the Governor stated.
The Governor charged all business minded Nigerians to look towards the prospect that exists with the rice that will be cultivated in Ogun State but transported to Lagos, adding that all those who are making okada riding a way of life now should think of embracing the business of driving farm trucks to convey the rice
One recurrent decimal in lagos state projects is thorough planning.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Unveils Mega Rice Processing Factory by emiye(m): 11:00am On May 16, 2012
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the governor said the development was a wakeup call on hoodlums popularly referred “to as area boys to vacate the street and key in on the employment opportunities that the factory offers.”

According to him, the factory was situated on a 23,000-hectare industrial estate and had about 10,000-tonnes storage for rice paddy and 45,000-ton capacity storage for finished rice.

He added that time for miscreants to reign in Lagos “is over. The time for wealth without work is over we have provided the framework for you to get your hands busy, get off the streets and go to the farm.

PoliticsRe: PDP Is The Best Party For Nigeria by emiye(m): 5:53am On May 16, 2012
I dont care if PDP splits in to a perfect two today, in as much as we have a "formidable" opposition.

PDP is just like MTN with their per minute billing, until Glo came with their per second billing.

PDP needs to be kept on his toes. Simple
PoliticsRe: PDP Is The Best Party For Nigeria by emiye(m): 1:33pm On May 15, 2012
As your name implies, "Faith in Nigeria" will never be translated to reality with PDP being at the helms of affairs.

If every one reasons like you, Nigeria will head to a One Party State.

One Party State is a sure doom for the country, it signals political monopoly and less power for the people of the country to make significant changes in who governs them.

For a succesful democracy, the ruling party must have a viable opposition who keeps it on its toes. The ruling party is coerced to "performing", knowing that failure to do so could lead to a loss of the peoples mandate to the opposition

If you are not yet a PDP card carrying member, you had better have a rethink.
PoliticsRe: Ibadan In Its Glory by emiye(m): 5:25am On May 15, 2012
Ibadan is not just called an ancient city for nothing sake, development got in to the city earlier than most cities, Although it was the "development " of the said time. Those rusty roofs depicts predominantly old houses, zinc roofing sheets was the in thing as of those period.

A man who buys a car in 1980 and his friend buys is own in 2000, it is common sense that the 1980 car will most likely look inferior to the 2000 car. An average building should last for at least 100 years, while cars for say 20 years.

It must be noted that cars are easier to dispose than houses.
PoliticsRe: Osun Kicks Off N300m Hydro-power Project. by emiye(m): 12:19am On May 14, 2012
Why this much ado about nothing ?

I only think the problem is in the article not stating the expected power generation, but the anti ACN goons have latched on that error, a costly one though. If the article had stated 500mw power generation, while that might be cheering, i know some people will be sad deep inside, just because they are opposed to any thing called development attached to an ACN state(foolish political reason).
PoliticsRe: Osun Kicks Off N300m Hydro-power Project. by emiye(m): 10:49pm On May 11, 2012
Based on widely accepted energy estimates a million US dollars investment in power plants should generate 1MW (1000kw), source of variation might exist due to design of power plant and may be a need for pipeline construction.

A 15kw generator can not cost up to half a million Naira (N500,000), so there is no linkage with the N300 million naira investment and 15kw power generation.

The article did little or no justice to some very key points, an average more informed nigerians wants to check for, it was poorly written.
PoliticsRe: Fayemi: Turning Ekiti Into A Huge Construction Site. by emiye(m): 5:52am On May 06, 2012
Kobojunkie: Ekiti villages definitely do not have terrible roads. I myself have been to some of the villages to purchase farm goods, for wholesale, from some of the markets/farmers out there, during Oni's years, and the roads were not terrible at all.
Fallacy of Hasty generalisation

PoliticsRe: Which State Is The Most Educated In Nigeria by emiye(m): 10:32pm On May 02, 2012
There are so many fallacies on this thread.

The word literacy must be properly defined to answer the OP's question.

Many seems to rush in using JAMB and all sort of mumbo-jumbo not needed to be classified as educated.

As long you can read and write in English Language(lingua franca), you are educated.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Plans International Airport Project by emiye(m): 9:54pm On May 02, 2012
If it is going to be a PPP arrangement, good for the state. I believe no sane private investors will come and invest in an unviable project. I don't think international airport is a priority for now, a rail project looks more important. The rail project should be spearheaded by the 6 south western states and other interested states

I think all you have written makes damn sense.

PoliticsRe: Govt To Build Two Emergency Power Plants In Lagos by emiye(m): 1:12am On Apr 25, 2012
Another power plants, with no plan for GAS supply? Shame on them all.

Where are those fools who said they've dumped their generators some months ago.

A typical GEJ facebook post goes thus:

Our Government has improved power geneartion from 4000 MW to 4020 MW - GEJ.

and then you see 100,000 likes on the post. OH ye Nigerians, we are all fools.

Angola just recovering from decades of civil war with a population less than that of Lagos State produces over 8,000MW

@OP. You've got no friend in that your male friend, he is a fiend.

I am a bit worried about your girlfriend, her staying neutral about a toasting proposal from her boyfrinds friend is not encouraging, going by your message, for that reason keep a tab on her still, you might find out something soon.

I would have expected her to challenge your friend on the chat about the madness he was exhibiting.
