HOUSING FOR THE POOR : cheap technology needs to be developed and applied in the buildings, am aware we have research institute in the construction and building industry, and FG pumps money in to this institute.

1-bedroom and 2 bedrooms flats in highrise of 3 storey building that cost N900,000 to N1.2million

Mortgage facility with non-discriminatory lending rates not less than 10 years and not more than 30% upfront payment.

The above is not an impossibility, but no shown political will from the Govt of the day

What is your manifesto like for the people of your local govt?

Do you have a holistic understanding of the needs of the communities in your loval govt?

Do you want to be a LGA chairman to steal the national cake as usual?

Answer those questions in your closet to yourself, that is the first step to become a LGA chairman

Nigerian youths, learn to use google the more, and less facebook and other social netwrking sites

It reduces ignorance, and you would be surprised the amount of information at your fingertips.

Information at least more credible than the one you heard in your village.

hausawa1:
This is baseless. You better shut your mouth. Why do you people think you are the best? How I wish the results of the test and the interview will be made public. So that we will the points scored by those that boast.
Why do you think this dude is boasting ? When facts and figures are peddled around, there is no midway. it is either a lie or truth. I for one share the same thought pattern. You will be deceiving yourself if you dont know there is a wide disparity between the North and South in terms of Education.

A critical look at the way the nnpc was conducted, shows that it tends to favour folks with science and engineerin background, and You will need to squeeze water out of the rocks to get sizeable and quality folks studyin this courses in the North eastern and North western part of the country, Take Yobe state for example, how many science and engineering tailored graduates have they produced in the last 5 yearshuh Don't becloud your reasoning with tribal sentiments.

PoliticsRe: Pastor Bakare Revolutionary Speech! - Nigerians Are Idiots Ruled By Fools! by emiye(m): 11:21pm On Sep 01, 2011
PointB:
So because a section of Core North politicians are orchestrating bombing and a minority of vocal nairalanders are shouting their voice hoarse, the rest of the country should capitulated? Arrant nonsense.

Some people actually underestimate the magnitude of support GEJ has. For the avoidance of doubt, let us restate these support from the votes cast in 2011 elections.

SE - 95%
SS - 98%
SW - Over 80%
NC - Over 70%
NE - over 34%
NW - over 30%

So make no mistake, support is still very high in for GEJ in Nigeria, despite what these loud minorities and internet warriors would have us believe. If elections were to hold today between GEJ, Ribadu, and Buhari, GEJ will still trounced them. This is reality. Nigeria will vote a bridge builder - GEJ - over the bigot Buhari or green horn - Ribadu.

The know-all Bakare should should shut his dirty trap and stop provoking violence. When it was his turn to sacrifice for Nigeria, he was too timid to insist Okonjo Iweala would have been a better VP to Buhari, nor did he agree to step down as VP to allow a coalition. Bakera did not sacrifice his no brainer (VP) ambition for Nigeria, but today, to cover his failings, he first called law abiding citizens of Nigeria - ediots, and then demand they shed their blood - to make him relevant. This man refer to people who are trying their best to help this country move ahead as ediots. And low esteemed Nairalanders are asking you and I to look beyond his insult. To what? His incitement? How low do we stoop? Ok oo, those of you who are 'ediots' please stand up and be counted!

I am waiting to see the first ediot, to harken to this fool of a pastor.

He also needs to guard his tongue against making "ugly" statements, his number one transformation agenda is now security  God help Nigeria

PoliticsRe: GEJ's Goal: Uninterrupted Power Supply In His Tenure by emiye(m): 11:14pm On Aug 19, 2011
That power supply has improved in your village does not mean power supply has improved in Nigeria !!! OK

As it is improving in your hamlet, it is getting worse in some others!. The improvement is not sustainable. Power sector needs serious iron fisted approach than it is now- still so much corruption going on with power projects. So much lip service and feeble action by the helmsman.

Power transmission is a problem, Distribution is a problem, Generation is a disaster.!!!!!!!!!
PoliticsRe: What Changes Are You Expecting From The New Finance Minister? by emiye(m): 9:21pm On Aug 18, 2011
mrjingles:
Na wa o, Na MINISTER she be o (just one at that) she can only do so much, besides some people's wishes here are for areas over which she has little or no authority. She can do much but lets temper our expectations.Have u read the framework sir? please what is "grandiose" about it?
Microfinance should be focused on the roadside groundnut seller, the poorest of the poor. , there collateral must be peer pressure. , that is why focus should be on groups e.g 6 groundnut sellers. It should be micro in the real sense of it. Current microfinance institutions are competing with commercial banks, and commercially oriented. Microfinance should be more of a social package;"Not for profit"--- profit just for sustainability. Bangladesh has a success story. Ministry of finance and CBN needs to work out a more practical MFI.
PoliticsRe: What Changes Are You Expecting From The New Finance Minister? by emiye(m): 5:54am On Aug 18, 2011
Microfinance institutions parntering co-operatives/ groups, especially women across the 774 local govts in nigeria.

There is a need to revisit the earlier grandiose microfinance framework. It must have been written inside nicon hilton hotel by some big suit mofos, there is a need to close the gap of the rich and the poor. poverty rate taken to say 25% by 2015, it is achievable. Grassroot minded microfinance is the way forward.

Shiooooooorrrrrr! No serious political will, no radicalness, just pure bull shittttt talk, only 40% of Nigerians have access to electricity, of the 40% , power supply is grossly erratic. Power generation is dropping steadily from what it was in April 2011. Bunch of failures they are. angry
PoliticsRe: Nigeria PDP David Mark And Chime Sulivan-Are worthy leaders for the future(2015) by emiye(m): 10:36pm On Aug 17, 2011
If Dimeji Bank-ole had not lost at the polls, he would have been gladly re-elected as the speaker of the house, no biggie about Mark been re-elected as Senate President.

I know the types of David Mark, IMO he is not a visionary leader, no radicalness that Nigeria needs, just lip service, at best a mediocre. No more room for ex military men.

David Mark ? What da heck is special about him. Oh, because he is always composed hitting the gavel. He is now good for the president. Nigerians should still remeber him for the statement that " telephone is not for the poor", when he was a soldier. He doesn't seem visionary one bit. I will prefer Abacha to be resurrected from the grave instead tongue
PoliticsRe: Aregbe Spends Only Three Days A Month In Osun by emiye(m): 5:54am On Aug 14, 2011
Beaf:
Dude, even God has angels. Aregbesola's belief thinks he can govern Osun state single-handedly points to serious personality issues. You thoughts about the importance of a cabinet couldn't be more far off. The article says that the justice system in the state has quivered and died, because there is no Chief Justice:

See? And thats just one example, there are widespread failures across the state, because one man views himself as an expert at law, health, architecture, agric etc. Its mind-boggling!
I am taking the interview report with the pdp chair with a pinch of salt, He couldn't even hide his bile of bitterness of losing out,
Osun state is not Lagos state. It is more or less a "civil service state". I am not aware that Perm. Secretaries of this ministeries have been sacked or stopped working.

Aregbesola needs to transform the civil service state to a more vibrant economy through improved activities, making it more agrarian as possible, providing good roads, improving the status of the primary and secondary education in the state, e.t.c .

I will like to know what relationship the PDP chair has with the monarch accused of raping a female youth corper, Assisting such character in getting a bail isn't one of Aregbesola's priorities .
PoliticsRe: Aregbe Spends Only Three Days A Month In Osun by emiye(m): 12:49am On Aug 14, 2011
Beaf:
Awuf AregbeRASCAL. . . Waiting for dry season to begin governing. It would be his second dry season in office.
Appointing commisioners is just one of the instruments for governance, It is NOT governance, creating jobs for the un employed 20,000 youths is good governance.

Having the right sense to know when to execute projects is good governance. Many projects fail coz they were not properly planned.

Holistic approach to solving problems , rather than quick fix.

PoliticsRe: Would Chris Ngige Be A Masterstroke??? by emiye(m): 12:19am On Aug 14, 2011
Fashola / El-Rufai (VP) wont be a bad idea, it should also be captivating for the youths. A rigorous campaign can play a magic. The bothched ACN / CPC platform can be reconstructed. The two parties are still the largest opposition parties.
