Must I go to Vsf with a physical Copy of my bank statement or can I go with the PDF copy on my phone and email? GTbank insisted they no longer give physical copies of account statement and that the online copy is fully signed and stamped for Visa application, they only gave me a physical copy of the reference letter

No dey pressure us, this is not LinkedIn angry angry

But jokes apart I think you have a good chance at getting it. You can add a form or letter or explanation or intent stating where you’d like to visit, how much you’d like to spend and how long you’d like to stay.
thanks a lot brother, I'll do just that

Thanks a lot for the detailed response, I'll structure it as regards Canada, bless you
sanyaolurilwan:
Then, you need a well planned travel itinerary that will consist of: 1- reserved tour plans, 2- a hotel reservation around the location of those tours for the number of days to be spent stated on the application, 3- flight reservation, 4- stipends for yoir daily expenses, etc. let me drop a sample I used.

Travel Itinerary: Here is a tentative itinerary of my travel plans: 26/01/2024: • Arrival in Paris, France from London, UK • Check- in at GRAND HOTEL DE PARIS • Visiting all floors of the Eiffel Tower by elevator • Experiencing the night life of Paris 27/01/2024: • Take Some rest at the Hotel Accommodation • Taking a Walk around the City, having a look at the local environment • Engaging in Paris en Scene Boat 3 Course Dinner Cruise • Visiting the Jardin du Luxembourg to relax • Return to the hotel accommodation and sleep till the next day 28/01/2024: • Engaging in the Paris Seine River Sightseeing Cruise • Check out from GRAND HOTEL DE PARIS • Departure from Paris, France, and return to London, UK
Accommodation Details: During my stay in France, I have made adequate arrangements for my accommodation at GRAND HOTEL DE PARIS located at 72 BOULEVARD DE STRASBOURG 75010 PARIS with confirmation number: 42*****021. I have attached a copy of the reservation confirmation from the Hotel to this application.

Financial Means: I am the CEO and Managing Director of R******** , a company that specializes in the importation and supply of Foreign Used Mobile Phones in Nigeria. I have attached a copy of my business registration certificate, tax identification letter, letter of last annual returns filling, few receipts and invoices issued to customers, etc., All these are to show the consulate that I am gainfully employed and I have sufficient financial capabilities to cover my travel expenses, I have attached a copy of my personal bank account statement for the past three months to this application to show that I have a stable financial position. I have also attached my company bank statement for the past three months to show the business is a running one. I plan to spend a total of around €700 during this trip, below is a breakdown of my budget: • Tours: €144 • Hotel: €150 • Transportation: €100 • Feeding: €150 (€50 daily for 3days according to my findings on the internet) • Miscellaneous Spending such as shopping, etc.: €156 • Return Flight Ticket (This had been paid for, so it’s not included in my budget spending). Then you need to have 3× of total amount you're spending sitting in your bank account as at when printed.

Please Note: I attached documents supporting all these that I have written in this letter, this will inform the visa officer that you know what you're talking about.

I advise you @emmanuelle27 to build a travel porfolio first before you apply for Canada, you can also give it a shot!

Your profile summary looks good. It is even better if you have been on the job for a while and able to show progression (e.g promotion) . You just need to put together a strong application being a first time applicant and presenting a virgin passport. Use your job to your advantage to show your home ties.

* Reference Letter from your HR addressed to Canadian embassy ( they should have a standard template)
* Proof of Leave approval
* Bank statement to show inflow/outflow of monthly salary payment or better still (mybankstatement).
* Let your purpose of visit make sense. Research well about the province you intend to visit and the tourist areas.

All the best!

Gurus, pls help me Everluate my approval chances for visit visa

Zero travel history
Zero properties
30yrs no wife or kids
Bsc. Biochemistry
Gainfully employed
Naira account with monthly 11m turnover
6m in naira account
5k USD in dom account.

I also have a side business where I buy goods and waybill to people in the east hence the huge turnover, but it's not a registered business so I'm not sure I can declare it.

I intend to visit for 1 week and return, is there a chance of approval or do I focus on other things

I guess I only have my job and family relatives as ties, as for the amount in my account it's from my side hustle, I buy goods for my traders contacts in the east and waybill to them from Lagos, so it's not a registered business.

What can you present to the ECO as your ties back home? And how come the large funds you have quoted in your bank. These are what you need to think about

I'm not trying to discourage you as there's nothing impossible with God.

3. Single
4. No property

Hello friends good job y'all doing here, pls is 2 million naira in savings and 1.8k USD in DOM account enough POF to apply for UK tourist visa? I'm employed with 210k monthly salary and small side hustle that funds my day to day expenses in another account with up to 18 million inflow and outflow within the last 6 months (lump sums of about 1m at different intervals due to business payments) so I barely touch my monthly salary in my savings account, I'm a single 29 yrs old and no properties yet and no travel history so my only ties to Nigeria is my job and family relations, are these ties sufficient to get me a tourist visa approval?

Hello everyone,

Please I need help with my question, can someone apply for F1 visa from the UK?

My friend is a registered nurse in the UK, and recently got masters admission in MPH for spring 2023.

Self sponsored, can he apply for F1 from the UK?
How do he show ties and convince the visa officer that he will come back to Nigeria or to the UK?
Did he have any chances of getting the visa from the UK or does he need to come to Nigeria to apply for the f1 visa.
Please help.
Nursing in UK is a big job so I personally think this person has more ties to the UK than Nigeria as it stands now, what type of Visa/permit does the person have, you should be returning to the UK after ur studies so it's safe to apply from UK, go with ur residence permit, pay stubs and any other information that'll show ur ties to the UK, since you're self funding make sure u have A LOT of MONEY, this is my subjective opinion, VO's might think otherwise

Ikmontana1:
ok sir, thanks sir, I understand your point.

am jus confused cause I have read many interview transcripts here abt visa applicants being asked by d VO why they want to go the US to study, where are they working currently and why they need d degree they are going to study.

most visa applicants reply by stating they work in places that are interesting to hear and are related to their course of study. (am not sure if all applicants are being honest tho, cos am sure over 50% of graduates in nigeria don't work in places related to their course of study).

my situation is different tho, cos am currently an entrepreneur in grocery, I own d business, so I don't do anything related to my b.sc certificate i.e demography and social statistics.

and I have seen response from experts here dat it's better a applicant apply for a masters course dat is related to his/her b.sc program.

so let's imagine I apply for a masters program in "applied demography or sociology", n a VO asks me "why am I going for d masters degree", clearly I don't need it cos am not using the b.sc.

and again d VO asks me where I currently work, again if am being honest my current work place is not related to my course of study.
I was a good student during my undergraduate, if not, I would not have graduated with a cgpa 4.18/5.00 from one of the top public universities in nigeria.

I have done some research about schools in the United States dat offer masters program in demography, I jus didn't go deeper or apply cos I want to evaluate my chances of getting a student visa, before commiting resources in d journey.

* my question is

1) Do I have to lie to get a student visa i.e abt where am working, why I need d degree e.t.c.

2) Can I choose a course dat is not related to my b.sc program, like public administration or Accounting or Economics e.t.c

Thanks sir.

n sorry for the many questions, I just like to understand something before I commit to it.

I applied for F1 visa, with full tuition waiver and RA, I was denied in Aug, 2022
The VO asked me the following:
VO: Where are you going?
Me: I'm going to YZ University
VO: To do what?
Me: To purse a PhD in Environmental engineering
VO: Where is your spouse?
Me: My spouse is studying in the same university
Vo: How long have you been married?
Me: 18months
Vo: why didn't you apply for f2
Me: I didn't have a need for that, I'm going to study
Vo; how long have you been married
Me: same answer, 18months
Vo: why didn't you apply for f2
Me: same answer
He issued me the blue paper
What we're my mistakes?
Now I am applying for F2, my spouse has till Dec 2023 to complete his study, what should be my intended length of stay
my dear don't go for f2 oh, it'll backfire oh, stick to f1, with your fully funded offer too I believe another VO might have a different opinion, be clear that u applied to the same school because you also wanna be close to ur husband but u ultimately wantu study and get back to your job, don't try F2 at all at this point, this is my subjective opinion, VO's might have there own reasons

Qubratshalewa:
Good evening everyone
I went for my F1 interview on Monday but I was denied.
Firstly, I will like to share my story. I got a full funding scholarship with a TA for PhD in chemistry. While filling the Ds160 , I answered yes to question about any relative in the US which is my husband and a citizen. On the interview day after questions abt my studies, the vo asked abt relative in the us, asked few questions regarding my marriage and then I was denied. I want to try if I could be lucky to reapply for spring again but I have some questions troubling me.
My questions are;
1. Do they keep previously filled DS160 information? I am thinking if in my next application I should put no for relative in the US. I know anyone can say why not in the first time, BT my husband thinks it can affect later if he want to file for me
2. What is my chance of getting approved if I reapply again?
I know people can say why not file instead but it take nothing less than 2years coupled with the fact DAT I want to pursue my PhD.

Please I need people suggestions on this. Thanks
DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING IN YOUR DS160, THEY HAVE THE INFORMATION, you have a fully funded scholarship so you have a very strong argument already, go back and try again, be very clear about your post study plans and opportunities in Nigeria
