pansophist: The unipolar world has ended for good, and will not come back. The world is formatting back to how it was pre-1500s, when Eurasia was the wealthiest, and center of the globe.
The West played a high stake gamble when they recognized China in the 70s as a country, ushered them to the UN and UNSC, then WTO, then every country started recognizing PRC as a country, and boom, the seed for China taking off was laid.
Then they moved all their industries and manufacturing to China, due to its dirt-cheap labor, market size, and mouth-watering deals to attract foreign investments.
They recognized China with the hope that China would become a photocopy of India, form a formidable force, defeat the Soviets, and be a permanent global factory, just as Africa is the resource factory.
I can bet my blood in the deepest of their hearts, in the darkest corner where no one can see, the West regretted that action. Now China cannot be tamed, or defeated, and is going for the head, to usurp the West role as the undisputed hegemon.
Also, the Chinese government has this philosophy they called ´ćommon prosperity´(in Chinese: 共同富裕), and this political slogan is the exact opposite of Western global hegemony.
As the West destroys, China constructs. Their BRI (belt and road initiatives) projects stem from their political aim for common prosperity, same with all the cheap infrastructures, loans, aids, and consumer goods that the average poor person can afford.
I have a tecno phone that I use. Honestly, that phone made me not miss my iPhone, and only take it out for outings because of its camera quality. I bought the Tecno for less than 100 USD two years ago, and it's damn good. China made such cheap phones possible.
China is/has built over 1000 schools for children in Afghanistan, a country the US destroyed, for their foreign reserve, and left to rot. China is a behemoth, and will singlehandedly break Western hegemony. It's their stated goal, perhaps, via diplomatic language.
So bro Emma, nothing to fear. Just that, we may not live long enough to see the total destruction of it, but surely, your kids or grandchildren will see. Okay ooo Thanks for the break down. Really wish to be alive to see the fall of that empire. This people don don Africa shegeeee |

pansophist: Shit got back to normal. Its just theatrical performance by attention loving Prigozhin.
CIA can't buy him. He is a hardcore nationalist. And if they bribe him, where will he spend the money? He has killed so much Ukrainians and NATO soldiers, they can't just bribe him.
He is just one man in a machine of soldiers. If he is bribed, he can't pull the command and others will follow foolishly. How will weapon be supplied? The whole logistic is bribing him no follow. Okay ooo. I pray Russia gets her shit right. The fall of Russia is not a good news for Africa and the global south. I can't imagine a world where US lord over everyone without anyone bold enough to call her to order or check mate her excesses |

Stoplying: The way the EU just decided to sacrifice itself for USA's proxy war is mind boggling. The EU is in recession now, EU industries depend on Russian cheap oil and gaz, those industries are dying now... As a citizen of a EU country, I can only cry. The whites have all gone crazy for Ukraine poop. They know what they are doing bro. They are all seriously fighting for their own survival. If US goes down, Europe is going down too because US is their umbrella. The unfair advantages they are enjoying now against 3rd world countries and global south in general would be yanked off their asses and that is the last thing they want to experience |

LordAdam16: It is a sad turn of events, but it demonstrates the fragile polity of Russia.
A delicate balance exists between the power blocs in Russia--the Kremlin; the MoD; the Intelligence community - FSB, SVR, GRU (not always on the same page); the merchants (oligarchs and business interests); the Vrog (Russian mafia and underworld); the politicos (from the State Duma to Presidents of the constituent republics) and a number of other interest groups.
Behind the iconic Onion Domes and world-leading military tech is a very messy backdrop that occasionally flares up.
Wagner and Prigozhin is a new entrant. Backed by several powerful interests both outside and inside Russia like the GRU. He is making a play for a seat at the adult table. That's all this is. Putin's ability to subdue him will renew the faith reposed on him and backing provided by the constituent power blocs, otherwise he'll be replaced by someone capable of putting out the fire seeded by NATO.
Currently, it appears the play is to lure Prig to Moscow and stretch his supply lines. Deploy Chechens to pin his forces in Rostov, which he'll have to reinforce by pulling most if not all of his forces from new Russian regions of DPR, Zap, and Kherson. Thus eliminating the possibility of sabotage in the SMO. Then a standoff ensues and if he fails to stand down, possibly declare a national state of emergency, national mobilization, and literally blast pictures and videos of Wagner's convoy on Moscow's doorstep as the aged prophesy of the West trying to breakup the Fatherland yet again to marshal a fierce, resounding response.
All of that is to say, there are several ways out of this that does not include the demise of Novorossiya. Like anyone who has followed the conflict from the start, I have my reservations about Shoigu and principal officers in the MoD, but Russia has been here too many times that I'm not concerned. Not even a tiny bit. This is peak Russia. Putting down a mutiny while killing Nazis trying to break fortified lines. Always teetering between a collapse or expanding. This is where they're most comfortable.
It is instructive to note that no top general or politico has publicly voiced support for Prig's gambit. If one had, that would have been deeply ominous.
I wouldn't say much about the US/CIA connection. Of course, they're involved in some way. The Pentagon just discovered $6B from an accounting mistake. Hypothetically, if the US decided to hand $2B directly to Prig and $2B to his top lieutenants; they'd be able to write it off and you'd struggle to find anyone who wouldn't march on Moscow in Prig's position for a fraction of that. Even if it is suicide. E get the kind money or threat wen u go receive, you go enter canoe go pursue Putin. The West remains a potent adversary. It is dying. But it can still sting.
This is why when Gerrard59 says "In China We Trust", that resonates. There is no way the Global South can or will escape the West's boot without a strong Russo-Sino-Indian alliance. That roughly THREE BILLION people sitting in that connected patch of land in Eurasia are our Hail Mary. Not one. All 3. Russia will get past this new curveball; but there are way more obstacles ahead. And we'll hand over the baton to our kids who'll hopefully continue the good fight. This is a 2,300 year old struggle and thankfully for the first time ever the Core of the Global South's push is a conglomerate of ascending powers that can only be thwarted by subterfuge. This will be one in an unending string of attempts that will ultimately diminish in their potency.
-Lord Waoooo Thanks for the breakdown of the events going on there. I just pray they come out fine from this mess. |

pansophist: Lol, I don't agree. A few months ago, Prigozhin was having beef with Shoigu, but he still liberated Bakhmut. This is just one of his theatrics. Also, do not forget that Russia is the blood, air, and veins that give the Wagner group any legitimacy.
From weapons, political umbrella, immunity, contracts, hell, Prigozhin was a chef for Putin, before his loyalty upgraded him to a warlord. He dare not turn against Putin.
At best, Prigozhin is like a houseboy that has been made so comfortable by the boss, he now thinks he can topple the boss. Putin release a speech yesterday vowing to punish those involved and the FSB has opened a case against him.
Also, the Wagner groups are just mercenaries and a lot of their soldiers are prisoners sentenced to life and are in the war as payment for their freedom. Wagner soldiers in Ukraine are merely bodybags.
The real trained die-hard soldiers are in reserves, waiting for the main war with Nato. If Putin wants Prigozhin's head today, it would be delivered to him immediately.
And you forgot an important angle in this war.
CHINA.
China will never let Russia fall. NEVER. To counter Western imperialism, you need a strong ally, and Russia is one for China. With Russia, China got energy security, UN backing, support from the stans countries (central Asia), and to counter western blockade in an event of a war.
China is directly supporting this war, but there is no way the world will know because they trade in local currencies, not USD. So trade cant be monitored. China and Russia share one of the longest borders on earth. You don't know what goes through between those countries inside their cargo for trade.
And How can western win exactly? It is the Russian army protecting the territories ceded from Ukraine, not Wagner. So tell me, how exactly do you mean that they have defeated Russia? Honestly bro, I am not comfortable with the turn of event. The last thing Russia should experience right now is fighting at multiple points and to make it worse, fighting their own fighters. That is not good at all. It is really worrisome and I have a feeling some people like US/CIA are pulling the strings behind the scene buying off these rebels. In total, the picture is not good at all |

GerogeI: Please can some one tell Tinubu That a one sided market is not a free market and has no bottom. This stupid move is threatening my projects
If Nigerians are bidding and buying forex from IE window on willing buyer willing seller model. There must also be a market where foreigners (forex holders) are bidding for naira on willing buyer and willing seller mode. Otherwise what you have is an unbalanced demand for forex by Nigerians only.
For you to have this, it means all oil companies including NNPC must sell Nigerian crude oil in naira not USD. Buyers of Nigeria crude must find a bank willing to sell them naira for USD to buy any export from Nigeria. This will also apply to other non oil exports. As long as CBN is collecting USD from oil and other export, they are joking calling what they just instituted a free market.
See how IMF is appluading their stupidity, as if they have our interest at heart. IMF only looks after OECD countries, most of which are in Europe and have no natural resources remaining or significant manufacturing. Any time they get you to devalue your currrency they benifit OECD countries who buy your resources cheaper.
If Tinubu wants free currency rate, then Nigeria's main export crude oil and others must be sold in naira. Forex inflows will go to banks in an unregulated manner wether through a central platform or other means. Banks will be the ones selling naira to exporters and recieving forex not CBN. CBN should a only buy diverse ( not just USD) forex indirectly from banks and maintain just enough reserve for Emergencies not exceeding two years worth of imports. Thats how the people appluading this infantile economics run their system. Nobody exports anything from europe in any currency other than euro.
Sometimes I wonder why i was born in a country where dounces are selected and appointed to lead. Who ever is dishing out these CBN policies is a real idiot, just same as Emefiele! The biggest scam is in currency. Why will Europe an US insist we buy their own products - cars, electronics etc in their own currency and then turn around to tell us they will buy our own products in their own currency again. Who does that? Even before the trade starts, Africa is on the losing side. Before the trade starts |

ReneeNuttall: I am the first child/first daughter of my family. It is not an easy job/task. Aside from being the home runner of the family because dad is late and mom is in the village (farmer) doing the little she can.
It is not easy, I started working at the age of 12 and I have still not made it. I sacrificed all my life and time taking care of my siblings (4 boys and 1 gal) , neglecting my own self and personal needs.
Now I'm filled with regrets. They r all grown-up and living their lives fgting all my sufferings and sacrifices. I did not enjoy my youth, and i also did not have fun. Instead I was very reserved and all my thoughts was home bound. No child no marriage, depression 100% .Bp 100% brokenness 100%. If only I didn't carry my family problems on my head at the detriment of mine. Y'all shld learn from my mistakes. I did not enjoy any first child privilege. There were days I slept wit empty stomachs and alot of times took garri to work to drink while I ensured my siblings had little portions of the last food at home.
Now all they do is take care of their girlfriends. Hmmmmmmm So touching. All you wrote are right. Reason why I decided to focus on my life for the past 3 years. Have learnt that humans are ungrateful by nature. No matter what you do or sacrifice for them, what will end all your efforts is that what has he done? That someone else had not done before. No matter your sacrifice to make sure they finish schooling, denying yourself so that they can travel abroad or sacrifice for girlfriend in relationship or family members, the question will still remain what has he done? No I go to the best restaurants, hang outs, wear good clothes that even ladies appreciate and compliment etc now they are all complaining that I am enjoying while they are suffering. Don't I have family members I can help? Family members problem dey finish? |

Evestar200: One thing about Siblings and parents is that once you start attending to their needs the moment they ask, they will think that you have plenty of money or have one place you are pumping money from.
They don't know you are sacrificing your happiness just to meet their needs and make them happy. At the end, they will say what did/have you done for them? For me, I just do what I can for now and don't stress myself on family again. If I die today, they will always find a way to survive. My immediate junior brother just came back from UAE this February after working for 5 years there with No dime on him and what did I get back? tensazangetsu20: 100k in 2009 was equivalent to almost 1000 usd. It will be around 600k by today's value. I think this is a bit wrong. Look it this way - Let's assume you were earning 150k per month in 2009 when USD was 150 to a naira, it will only take you a month's salary to buy something in US for a 1000 dollars. If your salary is still stagnant at 150k a month, it will take you 5 months salary of 750k to buy the same product of 1000 USD now and that is Craziness |

Love800: Wats the difference btw lease nd rent? The right word to use. When you are talking about land, you don't use rent rather leasing is the right word even though the 2 literarily means the same. Just like when a popular politician dies due to gang or thugs attack e.g President. You use assassinated and not killed or murdered. The right word to use is assassinated while for common man is killed. There are so many words like that in English with many examples. When someone comes to you begging for money to pay back sometime, you giving out the money becomes the lender (that is the right word) while the person receiving the money becomes the borrower. So we now say, I lend/lent him money while he says he borrowed money from you not lend. |

Thanks for the awesome feedback.
You are very wise to have leased the land this time around. I would like to suggest that you also discuss with your farm manager on how to look into the use of greenhouse technology (from Dizengorff) or cheaper options, and hydrophonics as your agribusiness expands.
I have read about folks who have used these in Lagos to grow more tomatoes, pepper, and exotic veggies using limited land space. Urban farming is key to bridging the food insecurity caused by banditry in parts of Nigeria and the Sahel region.
I'll keep in touch.
All the best. Thanks a lot bro for your inputs. I will think over it |
