Farfalla: A 20-year old Nigerian girl is already attracted to men who can give her material stuff. She will probably not pursue Telemundo love at the expense of wealth/comfort. Whatever gift she receives from a man serves as an index of his love for her. - 2K recharge = man likes me - An expensive phone = man loves me - A big car = man loves me very much - A trip to Accra = man loves me - A trip to Maldives = man loves me very much - Residential property in Lekki = man is my soulmate
Naija girls know who to pick and who to avoid very early in life because they have this dire need to glitter and glitter they will. I guess it's what the other gender refer to as entitlement mentality.
But you see the rest of us? Zimbabwéans, Ugandáns, Kényans, Maláwians, Tánzanians (mumu of them all), SÁ, Congolése, Rwandése, Éthiopians, Mozambiçans, Zambîans? We are generally hopeless. A yeye man, let's call him 'Ken', will come with very sweet words and the girls of these countries will fall for him. All he needs to do is hold her waist like one Alejandro or Eduardo in Telemundo, look into her eyes, tell her sweet nothings, kiss her sensitive spots and seal it with mind-blowing sex. That's it. A new pair of "soulmates" are unleashed into the world. No iPhone, no 2K recharge, no trips to exotic locations. Just pure love, devoid of materialism.
As time goes by, reality sets in (at 31) and she finds herself in either of these two situations; 1. Ken is now her husband and she, the breadwinner of her family. They cannot chop love. Ken is now very comfortable being a kept man while she's busy forwarding his unsellable CV to her acquaintances. 2. Ken somehow managed to put himself together in the course of their courtship, acquired some finances, but married some other lady he's "compatible" with. The universe never rewarded her for foregoing materialism, rather, it rewarded the lady who wanted the glitter and went for it.
Either way it suddenly hits the lady that Telemundo romance isn't reality and that financial stability in a man is a crucial aspect in relationships/marriage, despite the demonisation of gold-diggers. However, she's acquired this new-found knowledge at 32, while a Nigerian girl already knew this at 22. Are you not a nigerian? |

Epositive: That's where supervision comes in. You have records for everything bought. The best way you can handle theft is by close monitoring. On the day of planting, you can be present so as to ascertain that every seed is planted. Same thing during fertilizer application and harvest. For every investment, there's an estimated returns and once you are sure your inputs are well optimised, it will be easy to project the possible returns. This is the reason the manager must be good both technically and with figures.
Except he is a trusted person, the only way to tackle theft is to be there (physically or by proxy). During harvest too, you should be there to check them out. Days will be set out for these activities so you can prepare ahead. Be there, and ask questions. The thing is once they know you are not ignorant of the happenings, it will be tasky for them to cheat you.
Another thing is, most farm workers tend to also use the land for some minor planting for themselves like vegetables, pepper and so on. You may want to compromise a little on that aspect.
I once worked on a poultry farm and my 6-month SIWES on school farm (cassava, melon and corn) exposes me to some of these things. I'm a prospective farmer, still a student studying Agricultural Economics.
Labourers from benue (agatus) take 100k yearly but will be feeding from the little they co-plant on the farm as well. And that's because they do all the work. The fact that you use tractor for some work may alter the payment. Are you really really serious @ the bolded? because here in south-west, they are billing me 1 new bajaj bike per person per year 300/350k payment per year but most farm workers just demand brand new bikes now adays to avoid naira inflation. If i can get @ 100k per year, i will hire 4 workers with 1 manager join sef. Please, let's talk offline |

Epositive: All things being equal, your return should be good.
You seem too involved directly despite having a farm manager. And yes, it's better to have internal workers (somewhat permanent during cropping season). Constant monitoring and timeliness are very crucial for any agricultural enterprise, internal workers will help to achieve that better.
That's great.
The farm manager ought to do more of the staffing, records keeping and work regulations. However, the farm house will ease their (both farm manager and labourers) work particularly if the farmland is further from residential areas. Not only will it fasten the works but also minimize the transport costs as they have a choice, q better choice even of staying on the farm. Plus, housing workers on the farm also help to drive away human pests. I hope you get it set up soon. Thanks for your reply. My concern is that if I have my permanent workers and manager, how do I monitor theft ? What if my manager sells 50% of the chemicals bought while he claims he used all as required which will later affect the yield. Fertilizers can be sold too likewise seeds and crops harvested. How do I manage this issue? Are you a farmer too? What is the average yearly payment for yearly farm workers? |

Epositive: What's your staff size and what type of farming are you into? Don't you have a farm manager? Do you have a farm house (residence)? I use tractor to plough and harrow while i hire workers to plant, spray, weed and harvest but it seems it is not working. I think it will be cheaper and less stressful if i have my own workers because external workers do delay, disappoint most times. I will plough and ready to plant instantly to take advantage of the water still present in the soil all for workers to disappoint or tell me they are still working in another farm and will be ready in 3/4 days time. Should i talk about the cost of transporting them to/from the farm? Harvesting is the worse since they know i won't enter the farm and do it myself. I plant mostly groundnuts and just tried maize and cassava this year |

okoroemeka: this is how redpillers, misogynistic and women haters will die, alone and unloved, rotten to the bones,he decided not to live with his wife, children or relatives despite he is obviously not a hungry man ,anyone that decides he will not marry and have children even from babymamas will die alone, miserable, depressed, diseased, insane and wretched, despite the fact that women mostimes are difficult and cranky but we cannot throw away the tub of soapwater with the baby,we must continue to adapt, tolerate and learn how to coexist with women,if I can manage one for 23 yrs with numerous dramas from other sidechicks throughout those years then you can manage them also. Oga why the hate for people who decide not to marry? Not everyone wants to and we need to respect that and not hauling curses and abuses at them. We live in a free world now and nobody should impose their believe on others. The world will be a better place if we respect others decisions. Before you start hauling insults at these men why not start with their female counterparts who are in thousand’s nationwide and abroad as single mums, single well to do landladies, career women, rich and average ladies who are all living single and feel they don’t need a man because they have their money and 1/2 kids so what else do they need from a man. A man will start nursing being single and then people will come for his neck. Is it not the same Bible that says “it is better to stay single under a leaking roof than to stay with a nagging woman” or do you now know more than God or the Bible? The man decided to stay alone for reasons best known to him and not only did you wished him bad but came after people who are nursing such future ambitions. |

Skepticus: I trust my naija girls to serve that hot breakfast when necessary. The funny thing is that the tutorial "format" she used in deceiving this guy to go get dick is one that any sensible guy will decode on the spot. Anyway, it's a hard lesson learnt, when guys try to personalize these hoes.
These days, I have noticed it, that men rate "serious dating/relationships" than women unlike the other way round before the recent sexual evolution. It's probably tied to men being moral. The women just show up in the "relationship/situationship" where the guy is used as a placeholder for beta-buxxing while she goes on fucking multiple dicks that she fancies.
I've never been a fan of "relationships" nor needed one to get sex like most men are conditioned. With modern realities, it's useless for MOST men. I pity many men because they are not even aware of what is really happening now. They still have the old believe of women and many will up for rude awakening in the future. |

cayorday89: I will disagree with you here, if you had seen Haaland while he was at Dortmund, he runs with the ball, dribbles and scored tap ins like, from outside box 18 and golazos like Lewie and Mbappe have been doing and doing now.
At City, many were sceptical about him adjusting to Guardiola style but he has done just that which is him positioning himself for all the tap ins because behind is a system that encourages players to hold on to the ball and give it to a target man who will not miss...
Imagine he was a Spaniard in that 2010 world cup, they would have scored more goals and win by wide margins than they eventually did. Haaland is an all rounder but for now his job is simple, hang around the 18yard box and put the ball into the net ably assisted by seasoned passers of the ball. Okay ooo. Let's see if he would struggle to net when playing against a team with tight defence like athletico madrid and co. because there will be no room for loose balls for him to tap-in. |
