I sat for the test on the 16th of December 2017 and got the result on the 10th of January
Why not try EOR especially for that writing. More often than not, there's usually am increase in score. Don't forget the target is to get at least 8777 in LRWS.

But why the much disparity in cost of EOR? I expected there processes to be standardized. It's difficult to decide now considering the cost, but don't forget that there's no guarantee of getting same or better scores on the other sections if you re-sit for the exam. You have seen you need that upgrade to even be eligible in the FSW.

Good luck as you take decision on the best route for you.

Thanks to everyone. The test went well except for the listening sections - though not because of my state of mind. It was a bit difficult listening to the audio via speaker instead of headset (wrote @MOD Center) so i missed out some answers.

@ the end, it will end in praize.

Cc: oopsy; stonecoldcafe; mcstan18; uzoreen; chizilulu; Abbylee;
This MOD IELTS partner doesn't seem to be the best choice. I remember someone here mentioned their cost of applying for EOR is more than twice that of BC. Also, a lot of folks here will agree with me that listening from a speaker can hamper concentration and sound filtering as opposed to using a wireless headphone.

Referring to your speaking experience, I can relate to that. I didn't perform well by my own judgement as the examiner dozed off during part 2 and the topic in my cue card was not a familiar subject so I was scampering for the right choice of words. In all, I still had 7.5 in speaking. So relax!

Wish you all the best in your result. Cheers! kiss

I am guessing your 436 is a projected score with 8777. If you are able to pass your tests, that is a decent score for ITA in the coming months. I wish you luck in your endeavours. I will try and help out with any job vacancies I see that matches your profile. It is well. Stay strong. The storm will pass. May God provide all you need to make your application swift and easy.
I'll like to get those job notifications too. Please help!

My dear Fantababy,

Please note that no senior worth his/her salt on this thread would advise you to jump into the pool before you get your ECA.
However, you can choose to take your chances and then your experience will guide those coming after you. I hope you will come back to share.
Buhahahahahahahahahaha...

Individuals interpret differently, that's partly why reading scores varies in IELTS. Funny enough, if they get a ban, she will just hibernate and won't come here to share it.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Emmasonic4me: 8:19am On Dec 26, 2017
Please where did all these ideas of getting ITA before ECA come from? Over and over, it's been advised to start ECA earlier before sitting for IELTS.

Let's try and remove the "get-it-quick" syndrome before someone gets 5 years ban for misrepresentation.

Again, it pays to read. Folks read!!

Thanks a lot.
Will remove it. I don dey struggle with it sef. Cant imagine going to Uyo from Lagos. Apart from the stress sef, the cost too.
Well done sir!... @ the bolded grin grin. Nobody is a reservoir of knowledge here. How do you think they accumulated the wealth of information they share with you if not by reading.

I personally read every page for weeks from the previous threads before I caught up with the thread. If you engage in such, believe me, you will have little or no questions to ask again. You will just start feeling like a certified immigration agent. Finally, it pays to read!

So, read not just the 80 pages but the previous parts too. kiss

Me too it is too far. Because how possible was it for folks with 446 to Remain in d pool when 439 fellers got ITAs on Nov 15, with tie breaking of Oct 19? So confusing!
A possible reason could be linked to updating the released IELTS results. Some people have been in the pool since ECA came in with a lower IELTS score but updated the improved scores with the current IELTS.

Can one recieve an ITA same day he/she entered the pool? I see someone her advising a person to try enter the pool today before the draw is likely made?
If eventually its done today.
Yes so long as the draw has not taken place.

Pls I want to do a remark is it advisable. Crs is currently 415. Plus IDP says remark is 46k. I’m tired biko. Any suggestions house pls
For the record, I think the cost of remark is a downside for using IDP instead of BC, if the bolded is true. However, the TAT for the EOR was not stated to draw a final conclusion.

Thank God for his mercies. We didn't Max out our language scores but I guess this should be enough for ITA.
Spouse (PA): LRWS 8,8.5,7.5,7
Me: LRWS 7,7,7.5,6

This is our first attempt and I think we have to go with it instead of me rewriting to get 8777.Our CRS is 448 but my ECA is not yet out, so our CRS as at today is 440.
I don't know if it is best to wait till my ECA comes out hopefully ending of next month so that we enter with 448 or just enter straight away with 440.
Did I read WAIT? Enter the pool sharp sharp. You don't have anything to lose. If the ECA comes, you update your profile and that's all.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Emmasonic4me:
Finally, I have escaped the snares of BC after 3 attempts.

First attempt LRWS 6.5, 8.0, 7.5, 7.0.
Second attempt LRWS 6.5, 7.0, 7.0, 7.5.
Third attempt LRWS 8.0, 7.5, 7.0, 7.5

Listening did me strong thing. Reading and writing sections fell below my expectations but am taking it like that anyways.

CRS score has relocated from 384 to 432. However, and sadly too, my birthday is fast approaching and I will lose 5 points. This will push the score to 427 unless a miracle happens before then.

Truly the journey is not for the faint-hearted. Never forgetting to acknowledge the prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino. Your intercession was timely.

Thanks to everyone here for the time and effort expended to assist each other.

I return all the Glory to God.

This shouldn't be a problem at all. Enter the pool with the one on your passport and get an affidavit of confirmation of date of birth referencing the error in the one on transcript and hence, ECA. You may upload a birth certificate too if you have it, but the affidavit should do.

Men and brethren, what is the confusion in this statement above again? This is simple and straightforward instruction - they only accept transfers from the stated banks. With the way the (unique) account numbers are generated, I'm certain that no other bank that's not in a contractual relationship with BC would process your payment.

Please play safe
Not true...@the bolded. Its only a recommendation to use those banks. I paid successfully using Stanbic IBTC Bank internet banking platform.

If you wanna avoid stating the true facts, you could say you need it for "travel purposes". I'm sure you can draft an ambiguous email full of unclear details about the nature of the "travel". Put it at "foreign travel". If it comes down to it however and you are asked point blank if it's for immigration, it's better to not deny. Who knows, CIC may be sending out an inquiry regarding your job reference letter. It rarely comes to that though.

Please Gurus in the house help me clear this out.

At the point of my application to CIC we are a family of 3, but my wife is pregnant. Considering the settlement funds, will i have to provide POF to cover the unborn child?
Once you raise a CSE for the baby to be added as a dependant, you will have to show a corresponding POF for him or her too. That will amount to POF for 4.

Yeah, I also think they use that paper for grading cos my examiner scribbled down stuff like 8, 7.5, 8 and 7.5 during and after my half-baked stories. She nearly caught me peeping into her paper. I hope that thing I saw reflects sha.
