aswani: I wouldn't even bother to watch the video after your well considered rebuttal.
It is not enough for me to give you a Like, I had to compliment you specifically. Well done and thanks.
You could tell from the original article that there is a chance this was a nonsense due to the lack of focus of the article.
China might not be a perfect democracy, but it isn't a particularly lawless country with a total lack of control as this irresponsible article tried to infer. Instead of basing your judgements on what someone else wrote, I think you should watch the video and make your own conclusions. I can assure you'd think twice even if you're just a little smart. |

The truth is that we can never sustain a total lockdown like in those organized countries.

Jokerman: Okocha overrated?? Maradona overrated??
You see why people always attack you Messi indomie fans...
You think if Messi and Ronaldo played football in the time of such players, they'd have up to 5 ballondors??
For you to call maradona overrated shows the kind of person you Messi fans are, only Messi isn't overrated... A maradona that lifted a Napoli to league titles winning best player and golden boot along the way... A maradona that put Argentina on the football map?
Alright Messi is the only non overrated player in the world
Okocha overrated? Really?? A master of midfield that carried a dead Bolton team playing with unskilled players like Davies and Jameel etc?? A midfield maestro that combined skills with dribbles even inventing his own step overs.. A great passer of the ball, freekicks, shoot technique... Really? Bro you can attack his position, that I support 100% because what he wrote is close to senseless.. but don't lump all Messi fans into your generalization, that is dumb. Proudlyngwa: I am a field worker and I can authoritatively tell you, your line is quiet naive, no insult intended. Humans will run this system you propose. Good humans or bad humans what is the ratio.
The Nigerian mentality is wa ped, we need massive reorientation to get things working again. No amount of reorientation without a working system will work. The few bad people will ALWAYS mess things up if there's no system in place to checkmate wrongdoing. There's no country that doesn't have bad people and this will always be the case. We need to build institutions that will outlast any government and not depend on people. No amount of rebranding101 will turn everyone into saints. This my position and I'm yet to see anyone with a better argument. Not even yours by a mile. |
Politics › Re: Pipeline Explosion At Abule Ado Amuwo Odofin, Lagos (Video) by Emmerlee(m): 1:18pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
Proudlyngwa: Who is government What is government Who makes up the government
Nigerian government is bad because it is made up of bad Nigerians which make up at least 80 percent of Nigeria. Until we become better Nigerians we can't have a better government. I understand your point, but I can assure you that the fear of being caught and punished is what keeps most people from misbehaving. USA and other developed countries also have people that are equally as bad but they have working systems in place to checkmate and punish law breakers. Just put together a working system (for anything) and watch as people fall in line. It's wrong to merely "hope" that everyone will be good and not break the law. Let me ask you, have you ever participated in oil bunkering? That will be a likely "no". So the very few that continue to do this are likely getting away with it most of the time. This is what we need to fix. |

We are our own problems in this country.....that's why i hardly blame govt.
Just last week, rail lines were stolen after govt is trying to fix it.
Things cant get better unless you and i change positively. This is like saying everyone should be born again or fear God which isn't going to happen (regardless of the country). Government should create smart means to protect and secure the critical public infrastructures in the country. For example, if you as an average car owner can also invest in vehicle trackers and auto insurance policies, why should the Government not care about bigger things that are even more important to the nation? This mentality of expecting every citizen to be 100% patriotic and good (which isn't going to happen) while absolving the government of negligence has to change. It is a very poor argument. |
