AutosRe: Honda 'End Of Discussion': Is The V6 Engine Inferior To The I4? by emmydee(m): 5:30pm On Feb 14, 2008
Midas & Ivvie, You have both displayed a wide range of both academic and technical competencies in your field of study. That's great. I do not know most of what you have both mentioned but am sure most nairaland members who have had the opportunity to read through now know better about combustion, V6, 4 Cyl, pistons, Hp etc. I love you both.
Thanx very much. I have said it here on nairaland that we should come up wit a way of giving awards for good posts, but Seun or anybody for that matter has said nothing about it.
Thanx though.

TravelRe: Visa Lottery: Modern Day Slavery? by emmydee(m): 5:54pm On Feb 12, 2008
Hmmm, sometimes people wish to be heard. EDV Lottery is a God sent opportunity. Lots and lots of people in Africa have benefited immensely from it. Yes, the US is gathering the best brains for the future. So, whats' wrong with that. Africa (including Naija) is a land of immeasurable suffering. Hard -to-come by opportunities. So, our people who migrated have found it a lot easier to eke out a living faster than living in Africa.

Some one walked into my office during d US visa lottery period and said " our Bishop (Oyedepo) forbids the EDV Lottery that it's slavery". What modern day nonsense!
In fact, I no fit saut.
EducationRe: The Best University In Nigeria? by emmydee(m): 6:23pm On Feb 11, 2008
Unless we begin to reason like kids, am sure that no one here has all the necessary statistics to comment on all the universities in Nigeria. I graduated at UNN, i have been to Unilag, Uniport, Unical, Uniuyo, Unimed, Unijos, ABU, Uniabuja, Uniben, Abia state University, Imo State University, UI, Enugu state Uni, but I must say that each of these institutions has one thing that makes it stand out among others. In this case, just because Unilag is very expensive does not becloud good accommodation standards of UNN, or that ABU has good laboratory facilities should not make nonsense of the quietness of Uniuyo, that UI is good in MEDSURG is not enough to rubbish the strong law faculty of Abia state university.

When you judge, also remember to compare the severity of cultism in these institutions as that destabilizes academic progress as well. thank you.
CrimeRe: Marital Rape by emmydee(m): 1:55pm On Feb 11, 2008
@Enaholo,
My good friend, I share with u o, why would a woman say no to her husband in the first place?
A couple should make love at least once daily. So no room for "rape"
CareerRe: Why Do Most Female Secretaries Sleep With Their Bosses? by emmydee(m): 1:45pm On Feb 11, 2008
Well, Sec/boss relationship is a reality. Am sure it starts when a male/female boss starts admiring his/her sec or vise versa. I have a customer service personnel. even as I post this message, am not sure whether she's pretty or not. I dont even think about her. She's just like a person. So, do not have any feelings for her at all.do not see your sec as 'meat' rather see her as your staff. that way, everyone goes home peacefully.
SportsRe: Ghana 2008 Final: Egypt Vs Cameroon by emmydee(m): 12:50pm On Feb 11, 2008
The brand of football displayed by the Egyptians is not made in Africa! This, coupled with excellent organization by their FA, and good discipline from the players, the youthfulness of the team, having been playing together for a very long time(al Ahly, Zamalek etc) placed the entire team on a very good position.

African FA's should have a rethink. The Egytian team did not have players from MAN U, ARSENAL, REAL MADRID, MILAN, BARCA, LIVERPOOL, ETC. 98% of that team including the entire coaching crew, is made up of home based players. So, what then are we worried about.

I trust Nigeria. At times like this, the authorities act swiftly, even the presidency watch football, so I knew that fool must leave immediately. Now the Sani Lulu and co should leave at once. Football should simply be managed by footballers and not a stupid quota system that brings mediocrity.

Ever since this Vorts took over, I have never liked his style. It's either he has refused to study Nigerian players OR He does not know how to coach!
There are very brilliant Nigerian players out there.
How does he think Aiyegbeni & Martins can play togerther?
When was d last time Kanu started a game?
What was Apam doing in the team?
Why did he not yank off both yak & martins even before half time
what were Nsofor & Ikechukwu ( well known destroyers) doing on d bench?
Has Vorts gone to Ghana to play or win d Nations Cup?
Will it be a wise decision to retain him after d Nations cup?
Ok o. what has happened to d Siasia boys? we have just thrown away that team as well?
Bonfere Jo is d "last setting that worked" for Nigeria. Let's go fetch him now!

PoliticsProsecute Ex-governors Wives by emmydee(op): 12:44pm On Jan 10, 2008
I urge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent and Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to start arresting and prosecuting former governors’ wives along with their husbands.

This has become necessary as the wives supported their husband-governors to loot the tills while in office. The former first ladies also engaged in corrupt practices, as some of their programmes lacked merit and accountability. Let them be prosecuted together. This should warn the incumbents.
