The federal government can act with impunity because they control power. They can't because they are subject to the law.

It's foolhardy to deride the NLC and refer to them as toothless bulldogs knowing that they are being restricted by the courts from taking any action with regards this fuel price increase. The federal government is the weapon fashioned against poor Nigerians.

The statistics put out by the NBS is highly conservative. How can they say bus fares increased by only 11%? We've seen up to 150% increase in local commute fares in just the first month of this renewed shege adminstration.

I just urge those who are doing well to help those in need. This is because some people may die of hunger if we don't help each other because of our political differences. My closest pal is a Yoruba Muslim guy, fatai, and because of him, I have always refused to believe anything said on this forum about Yoruba Muslims. Although he voted for Tinubu and I voted Obi, we are still good friends. He has sold his car after the subsidy removal and I have been the one driving him to work. He came visiting on Monday that he couldn't afford the sallah ram and other needs for the festive season. I didn't want to ask him what he did with the money he realized from selling his car. How about some explanations for the sharp increase in subsidy payment between January and February, a time when earnest preparations were being made for the 2023 elections. This should be a pointer to where all that subsidy payments is going to. Corrupt government officials enriching themselves and no one is being made to account for it. Instead of plugging all loopholes in their system they passed it off to poor Nigerians to pay for it.
