On the Economic Implications

God Almighty has just divinely delivered Nigeria out of Poverty into record breaking Prosperity

Nigeria has just won the Economic Jackpot

Russia is Western Europe's Suppler of Natural Gas

Nigeria has infinite amounts of Natural Gas

And right now Europe is desperately in need of Natural Gas from anywhere but Russia

Like the oil has delivered us from poverty ? grin grin

I pity the Igbos that has this gas. They will likely inherit the fate of the Ijaws.

Exactly my thoughts too, the truth is nothing would change even if an angel becomes Nigerian president at this point without a drastic change in our constitution. The Nigerian structure is designed to fail at this point and not just about a change in President hence why successive governments end up competing for failure.
Exactly. Constitutional reforms!!

The problem now is that most of the people below the middle class don't know the problem, the middle class are too educated and are busy debating shite while the rich don't give a fu*ck and are probably benefiting from the decay.

2023 is a lost cause already.

The same old familiar game. Spoil the country for three years, move in and pretend to save the day a year before election. Let's see if the people will spot the pattern this time.

True, but it's worth it. A lot of people won't mind an authoritarian working government. Singapore is an example.
Christianity EtcRe: How Christianity Is Supporting MONEY RITUAL! by Enceladus(m):
Op, you missed post on this one. Ask yourself why the Christians of other cultures and continents doesn't enroll in the same school of thought as their Nigerian counterparts?

Those things you accused them of are what they believed in before becoming a Christian and later carried on believing when they convert. The ones born into it have no choice since the belief is the norms.

Constructive criticism is good, but we should learn to stop bringing our biases into discussions.

I can remember the epidemic of kidnapping and rituals when the one thousand naira note was released in 2005. The communities fought it and things became normal.

It's now time to fight this madness again especially in the South West. This senseless killings has to stop.

I really appreciate your analysis of Nigeria's economic plight. But the problem is HOW DO WE KNOW THE RIGHT PERSON TO VOTE FOR AS THE PRESIDENT?
Wouldn't the election still be between the two ruling parties as usual? (Perhaps Tinubu and Atiku)
In order words, we may be forced to choose between hell or the deep blue sea.
It doesn't seem like the solution to our problem lies in "voting right". So much more need to be done. We need a serious revolution to save this country.
You get it. This country needs a hard reset.

This is bullshit.
The loans are going into infrastructure that we can see and touch. Each of the infrastructure assets will last >100years with many cycles of maintenance, upgrades and expansion.

Please can these nonsense arguments or save it for PDP apologists from dust bin state capitals.

The foreign loans are just $300 per person.
The internal debt is about $200 per person.

When the infrastructure projects come on stream, Nigeria will be able to attract unbelievable FDI.
Large FDI inflows will create many jobs.

Let's be careful what negative propaganda we imbibe from supporters of parties where dustbin and soot are stifling growth and destroying lives.
The loans that builds rail to Niger Republic grin The south west alone has 30 times the GDP of Niger

First of all, you are totally wrong with your assertions. I am yet to find something clicking in all your post, although all what you said about cloud security, data integrity are all true , but very unrelated to the issue on ground.
I ask again, did you read his report?
grin grin

You have your preconceived opinions already and it is obvious by this your statement

Then I hope you understand that the Pentagon has a deal with Amazon(ML/AI related), that is to counter your number 2 statement, and yes Amazon handles all the data but then Pentagon has officials in sync with those at Amazon's end.
So because they have deals, that means the serialized models of DoD's CHESS AI system and all others will be stored on s3? Bros be objective or else adios.

but very unrelated to the issue on ground. I ask again, did you read his report?
Just to be clear, nobody is saying that this is not a bounty issue. But a security concern is still a concern. Some bad actors possibly broke in already.

All your points are valid and I can't argue any of those either.
Am thinking that even the agency themselves seem not trust any providers in Nigeria or have something to hide by engaging a foreign partner in such assignment.
Am confused honestly

RedShift is just a data warehouse.

It depends on IAM for security same as S3.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/redshift/latest/dg/c_security-overview.html

RedShift is a different beast. It's like comparing a virtual machine and k8s. They do similar stuffs but one is more complicated and capable (thereby can be more tuned to be secure) than the other. Although I also agree again that basic IAM policies is needed.

Enceladus and Golan007 the speed you guys concluded somethings ehn!!! I hope you Sirs have read his statement, nobody hacked s3, the entire shit is potentially an exploit from Tecno devices and once again it has been reported, if you doubt me check bug bounty website.
Peace.
Conclude what? Who said they hacked s3? Where did you read that?

1. My point is why was data that deals with National security stored outside Nigeria and even outside Africa?
2. Why is the data stored on s3 and not in a more secure vault? Do you imagine the US SSA storing Social security numbers on s3 ? cc Golan007

if this report is correct expect to see various dump of nimc data floating around the dark web.
Sad but true.

Golan007:
What is safer than S3 that you can point to?
AWS has a proper high-security data vault. It is called RedShift I think. Those engineers really need to be sued if it is true that those information are stored on s3. grin grin

I believe this, despite this, data security is of utmost importance for even the survival of the cloud providers.

If laid down protocol is followed, breaches such as being touted here shouldn't be that easy.
Yes, you are also right. Data security and integrity are fundamental and shouldn't even be discussed.

Golan007:
He claimed S3 so they are on AWS Servers.

It shouldn't matter if they are on premise or in the cloud.

If the right protocols are followed, access should only be top-level.
The location of the data centre does matter for National security reasons.

I know that in the US, there are some sectors or applications you might build where the data must be 100% stored in the US according to the law. I got to know this in a training with AWS cloud.

Main-one has data centres here in Nigeria but no, oga Pantami carried our data to the US for storage. This Nigeria is not a country really. I can't imagine the US storing sensitive data on Azure servers located in Germany. Anybody can get hacked, but it shouldn't be script kiddies or individuals... I hope that Sam of a guy doesn't get hacked by NKorea or China for the data. Maybe they might as well have a go at our servers grin

Since u have stayed in Benin republic for a week, then answering my question shouldn't be a challenge for u. Once again, Is the nation not functioning?
grin No, the nation is functioning. The inflation rate is low, health care is optimal, we only 10 million children out of schools, life is safe, we only have 3 different terrorist groups, bandits, kidnappers, we have policemen that are the true friends of the people, soldiers are in the border area and are not busy causing havoc in the cities. Human trafficking is not a thing, the minimum wage can last you for the full month. 14 million youths are unemployed yes, but the country is working.

According to u: "Staying briefly In a sane country will get people angry and demand what is rightly theirs".

Y has traveling abroad not affected our political leaders and d Nigerians that travel abroad everyday?
grin You think like a child. Sorry for talking like that.

U haven't answered the question I asked u. Am not sure what exclusive list got to do with the question below:

If u say stopping of funds going to abuja wont make Nigeria better, then what's the essence of d grammar in d first place?

What do southern states have to show for d allocations they have received so far?
Another childish statement. You are like the British, they are like These Benin artefacts are delicate and we know they will get damaged in Nigeria so let us keep it for them. grin

If the Southwestern states burn the money it is their money what is your concern? Let them keep their money. Give them the damn money and remove the shackles in the constitution.
