@Olamyde: Well, this is my first real protest. We'll give it a shot. All the protests before now plus this one will build up our voice in their ears. @ITBomb: You know, your post has reasonable points in it but the problem is, before I concede anything to you, give me proof, especially of RIM's compressional server. |
Hello my fellow Nairalanders. Hope you're good? Above all, hope you're having a great time gett data for your device? No? Eeyah. That's exactly my reason for opening this thread. It's time we moved some mountains that have denied us access to QUANTITATIVE and QUALITATIVE data services. The point is that the data bundles available for Android devices in Nigeria are just too expensive, especially when we consider the bundles that Blackberry phones get. Are they not both smartphones? Then why is the disparity so large and the gap so big? Why? Fellas, it's time we sounded the bell until it rings loud and clear in their ears. It's time we demand for and get an explanation, but above all, we crave for a positive change. Now is the time. It's time we demanded not only for larger data bundles for our money, but also for BETTER service or signal strength. Now, I know other threads have been created to tackle Airtel, Etisalat, Glo and MTN. However, my main target in this protest is the Nigerian Communication Commission. They are the regulator of the telecom industry, they are the soil, root and stem. They are my target. I intend to go to their Twitter handle, @NgComCommission, and their website, ncc.gov.ng, and protest. My plan is to write a letter and submit it on Monday, and I'll sure visit their Twitter page too. Join me. Talk with me. Shout with me. Go to their Twitter page, their website, and let your voice ne heard. Let them know that we've had enough. In our individual words, let us ask them to admonish their wards, the telecom operators. Let us speak, for only then will we be heard. COME ON! |
@All: I think it's high time we protesred to Airtel, Etisalat, Glo and MTN that we want a better deal for our android phones. We'll target these guys one by one, but our main target is their regulator, the Nigerian Communication Commission. Their Twitter handle is @NgComCommission. I want to write a letter to them with the strong language of protest. Who's with me? The letter is to be submitted on their page on Monday. So, who's with me? Will you sign the letter along with me? Will you write your own, and let them know your displeasure, in your own words? Or are you not interested? |
francis247: Even got a messageYeah, I got a msg too. Here:

I won't comment on whether it's right or wrong. But what I believe that it's not safe for these people. Not safe at all. Not because virginity is something to be ashamed of-no, it's so beautiful and blessed a state. Rather, my reason is the protection of people who would want mess these people up, out of envy, jealousy or as a way of avenging themselves. No, it's not safe. |
BTW, I searched NL and found a thread created by people who got this bonus in the early part of November. Here it is: https://www.nairaland.com/1508459/mtn-1g-internet-data-bonus#19379055 |
Popson53: U people don't follow mtn advertisement at all. More than a year ago, mtn advertised it on media that if u have mtn simply that u have abandoned for over a month, insert it, load any amount of card and get bonus credit and mb.God bless you Popson53!Just like Kingslaw said above, I'm going to get like two more sims, activate them then store for 1 month. Na eem b say data don dey sure be that. Ope oooo!!! |
Yeepa! I loaded #100 tonight, and since I knew that MTN would probably give me 5mb bonus data, I decided to check my bonuses' balance using *559#. Na so I just see am the: 1005 mb! Yeepa! I look am, look am again, see sey na true. Decided to come to NL to investigate and found this tread. This is sooo welcome. But I dey think of asking over at the customer care thread sha... BTW som1 once told me of she experienced something like this over at the Tecno L3 thread. |
I'm so glad for texanomaly, sexkillz et al who av bin busy holding it down, giving godly advice. God bless y'all. We will never give up. #TeamDoItAsGodSaid We'll keep fighting, keep talking AND KEEP WINNING! @Op and all: Whether under age, over age, middle age, ancient age, ASUU age- whatever the case, sex outside marriage ain't right. And if you've made mistakes before, the way forward is to stop. Don't continue pillaging your life. The way out of the mire is OUT, not DEEPER. It sure seems impossible, but that is why getting born again gives you a new nature, a new OS(operating system), so that you can run the required software, including sexual purity, truthfulness, humility, faith etc. God has prepared and finished it all, just partake of the goodies. If you are ready, if you are tired of the nonsense we experience and call life, just call on Jesus today. He ain't hard of hearing- can the one who made ears be hard of hearing Himself? May God help y'all make the right choice. |
Willgates: aside from your kids, sir I don't see anything as valuable and irreplaceable as a wife. You can't be leaving the poor woman alone in the house all in the name of going to watch "arsenal". Next time, take her with you,if she doesn't like the viewing center ,endeavour to buy a satellite decoder. CTL is just 18k or there about and shows all the matches u can ever or might never think of with just a token of N3100 a month as subscriptionChairman, abeg ma wich 1 b CTL? Pls giv me more info coz wat u said here has caught my eye. @Op: Your wife and home is more important than Arsenal. However, since football and Arsenal is the only hobby you have, and lest you leave it for destructive ones like smoking, drinking etc, please do as so many people have already advised: buy a decoder, create the viewing-center atmosphere at home at home and watch all your matches at home. If you go to the viewing center because you crave the atmosphere there so much, which is created by other men, how don't you see that your wife loves the atmosphere at home when you are around?(Yet you'll say women can't be understood!) IMO, it's not football that she wants to banish, it's you that she wants! So, start watching it at home and your wife soon constitute the perfect atmosphere, either as a protagonist or an antagonist. That will be good for the love between you, the kids, you, her- in short everything and everyone! All in all, I can see that your wife loves you. Love her too. PS: Don't support any particular club, but you Gunners better advise Wenger to buy another top-class striker, just as he bought Ozil. If Giroud go get injury... KASALA FIT BURST OOO! |
Guyz stop egging this guy to do what's wrong.@OP: Remember say wen d repercussions com? dem go chop too oo but dia own no fit reach ur own. @Sexkillz and ilk who r busy advocating the right thing: Thumbs up peeps. Let's not tire in letting 'em know. It will benefit many. |
Whether young or old, short or tall, fair or dark, sleeping with a female that is not your wife is absolutely wrong! All the repercussions are there: spiritual, psychological, medical, social, conscience-wise, nemesis etc. As a guy, I can tell you that you are not alone in having ladies (including under-aged ones) tender applications to you. Believe me, you are not alone! And it's tough to say no. Yes. But if I don't want to end up like everyone else, I must live like no one else, I must take a path that others are not taking, and that will be definitely tough and hard. Just ignore her in the fear of God. And one of the best ways to do this is to restrict her access to you and reduce the familiarity between the two of you coz if you don't, body no be wood ooo! U fit tink sey u strong but u go just see sey afta many or frequent temptations, you... God forbid! So bro, don't bother about her and let her go. |
Yes, finally! I've made at least six posts on each of their Fb official pages. Peeps, it's time to let them hear it. Btw, na Airtel disappoint me with that their decision. Why do they think people are using their network? Smh for them big time. Just pray and hope they listen to our protests. Let them equate Bb and android plans, or at least minimize difference between the plans. |
Godvilla: https://imageshack.us/a/img842/2520/fej1.jpgSo, what's new about this one? Nonetheless, do u av any news on PES 2013 or 2014 on android? |
donpapaecko: the procedure I started with is almost d same.when. i got to device manager, mt65 preloader didn't pop up.and also all the downloaded files to be used, must they all be zipped with the PC and not wit phone.1.What version of Windows are u using? 2. After installing InstallDriver.exe, did you restart your system? |
@Op: Encourage yourself with these words: "Do not exploit the poor because they are poor, and do not crush the needy in court, For the Lord will take up their case, And will exact life for life. Do not move an ancient boundary stone Or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, For their Defender is strong; He will take up their case against you." Prov.22:22-23 and 23:10-11. All in all, take heart. Cry and weep, let the pain be released, and then gather yourself. As someone who has been through the loss of my Mom, I encourage you to do this. And allow people to pray when they come to commiserate with you coz, though I can't explain how, it goes a long way in soothing your pain. God be with you. PS: If those Bible passages above (and others) have worked for me as a motherless guy, how much more you that are fatherless? |

Habidab: Please guyz your help is really needed o!Just it's saying, u need to download some other parts. It's called the game's CACHE. There are two ways to it: 1. U can get a very strong data connection with q lot of MB and download it via the game, or 2. U can search for that game's cache using Google, download it using a resumeable downloader like I.D.M or DAP10, and put it where it shld be on ur sd card. This because caches are usually very large, so if the download gets prematurely terminated, you can continue from where you stopped. All in all, you will have to make great use of Google. Questions like this have already been asked and answered, so get those answers too. |
NO SALARY ARREARS, NO RESUMPTION –ASUU NOVEMBER 25, 2013 BY SEGUN OLUGBILE AND CHARLES ABAH The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said it will not suspend its ongoing strike until the four months salaries owed its members are paid. The union also wants the immediate implementation of the N1.2tn offer by the Federal Government to public universities, starting with the release of N100bn this year. The balance of N1.1tn is to be spread over five years from 2014. These were some of the resolutions reached by members of the National Executive Council of the union who converged on Kano on Friday to deliberate on whether to call off the over four- month-old industrial action or not. A source, who was privy to the resolutions reached during the President Goodluck Jonathan – ASUU leadership meeting three weeks ago, told The PUNCH on Sunday, that the fresh demands were some of the issues to be tabled before Jonathan by the leadership during their next meeting. A date for the meeting is yet to be fixed. According to the source, a strong commitment to two demands, among other pending issues, must be obtained from the President before the industrial action will be called off by the union. He said, “The issue now is on trust and we do not want a situation where promises will not be kept. The authorities have failed us in the past and we do not want a repeat of that. ”That was why we decided at the NEC meeting that the government should pay us the arrears of salaries being owed us since we started the strike on July1 before the strike can be called off. The salaries should not be paid piecemeal. “We also insist that the Federal Government should start the implementation of the offer made to us when we met the President some weeks ago. “For instance, the N100bn he (Jonathan) agreed to inject into the university system in 2013 should be released to the universities immediately. So, we decided that before the strike could be called off, these two conditions and others must be met not by promises but by real action.” The NEC members, who met behind closed doors at the Bayero University, Kano, were said to have reviewed the reports of the various university congresses on the strike. Our source, who did not want his name in print, added that the death of a former National President of ASUU, Prof. Festus Iyayi, was discussed at the NEC meeting. Iyayi, a University of Benin lecturer, died in an auto accident involving the convoy of the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada and an ASUU vehicle, on his way to Kano for the meeting. The union’s National Welfare Officer, Dr. Ngozi Ilo, was injured. Our source said the accident “almost led to the discontinuation of the ongoing negotiation with the Federal Government. He added, “Some members expressed the belief that he (Iyayi) was killed by the government and therefore argued that the ongoing negotiation should be called off. Tempers rose but some members argued that the President should be respected because he had created the record of being the first Nigerian leader to meet with the leadership of ASUU on the issue of making the nation’s university system better. They also argued that students and parents should be considered.” It was also learnt that after arguments for and against, about 60 per cent of the members of the NEC voted in favour of the discontinuation of the strike while the remaining 40 per cent voted no. But it was gathered that the NEC members unanimously agreed that before the strike could be called off, the leadership should ask the government to pay the four-month salary arrears being owed university teachers while the offer made by the government should be implemented immediately. A key component of the agreement reached by both ASUU and the Federal Government when the President led the government team was that government would inject N1.2tn into public universities. The government also agreed that the N1.2tn would be domiciled at the Central Bank of Nigeria to show its commitment to the agreement. The money is expected to be released on quarterly basis to the universities so that there won’t be any problem about implementing the deal. The National Universities Commission and the Trade Union Congress will be the joint guarantors of the agreement while the Minister of Education will be the implementing officer. The government also agreed to revamp public universities by ensuring that all the issues that always lead to strike were dealt with once and for all. A majority of the chapters of the union had agreed to the suspension of the strike following the fresh commitment the leadership of ASUU obtained from the government. ASUU National President, Dr. Nassir Fagge, did not pick the several calls made to his telephone line by one of our correspondents on Sunday to confirm the fresh demands. The University of Lagos chapter ASUU Chairman, Dr. Karo Ogbinaka, and his counterpart in the Lagos State University, Dr. Adekunle Idris, also refused to divulge information on the outcome of the NEC meeting. ASUU had embarked on the strike to protest against the failure of the government to implement the agreement they signed in 2009. The pact largely centered on better funding of the universities, a declaration of a state of emergency in tertiary education, better wages and payment of earned allowances to lecturers. It had suspended the NEC meeting penultimate week following Iyayi’s death. Copyright PUNCH. All rights reserved. Erelu_Y: EVEN THE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN GOD IS AN ENVIOUS ENTITY,Just as Deschil has pointed out to you, you are wrong. My God is JEALOUS, not ENVIOUS. Those are two different things. And someone has already defined jealousy as fear of losing someone or something, but I will define it as a desire to possess something all by yourself with no external participant(since God can never be afraid), thus protecting that thing or person with all your might. That is what God wants. He wants us all for Himself and will never share us with the obvious alternative: the devil. Besides, sharing something with the devil is far beneath God's regality and status as the Almighty. Thank you. |
ebiboy2: I appreciate all of you who have been tirelessly praying, and to all of you who have been calling and also to all those who have given us one word of encouragement or d other. To those who have told us d bitter truth, I thank you too. But I do not doubt that God can make windows in heaven. I do not doubt that he can reverse seemingly impossible and hopeless situations. I do not doubt at all cos he is the source from where i draw my hope and strength. I have experienced miracles and so I believe in the power of God to heal and provide. I tell you before long you will praise the Lord with me.Yeah bro, that's the spirit! Keep on keeping on. |
@Op: Don't av enuf money at this time to giv out but I'll pray 4 ur Dad and endeavor to support u emotionally on this thread. Now, it's actually interesting 4 me to tell u dat wat we prayed abt afta my Pastor's msg in Church today was healing but b4 I go in2 that, let me reiterate three of the causes of sickness that he talked about: 1. Sin: The best example is Adam, Eve and the Fall. 2. Demonic oppression: Check the story of the man who was dumb and prone to seizures as a result of demonic oppression in Mark 9:14-29. 3. Neglect: Not eating a correct diet, lack of exercise- all types of neglectful actions. So, if your Dad is sick because of sin, since we have the Name by which our sins can be forgiven if we only humble ourselves to ask, I ask that may his sins be forgiven, and may he be raised out of his sickness in Jesus' Name. If it is due to demonic oppression, I command that all those foreigners be cast out of God's house right now in Jesus' Name. If it is due to neglect, I pray that my Father will mercifully restore his health so that he can make all necessary amendments. For I pray in Jesus' Name, amen. You are his firstborn son. Pray these prayers for him too. My greatest joy would be to read your testimony. Take heart bro, it shall be well. Take heart and take courage. And may God help you in sourcing all the money you need, amen. |
