A spirit is diff from a prophet.

A spirit being has no physical body but a spiritual body. A spirit has a soul.

A prophet is a man like me and you. He has a physical body ,a spirit and a soul.

When the Bible say 1 John 4:1 KJV
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world" , it means that the spirit God is availble for a prophet to use and also there is a satanic spirit available for a false prophet,which satan gives to his followers.

Who is a prophet? A prophet is:
One who utters divinely inspired revelations.
One gifted with more than ordinary spiritual and moral insight.
One who foretells future events.

A prophet can give divinely inspired revelations only through the Spirit of God that is inside of him.
At the same time there are satanic revelations. People do consult idol worshippers to get revelations. Those people ministring at that satanic alter are also referred to as prophets.

Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord ; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men. In a summary,the Holy Spirit is not a prophet. Jesus said he was going to send a Holy Spirit who CANNOT BE SEEN with the naked eyes and shall DWELL IN YOU.

The way of Jesus is completely diff from tbe way and message muhammed gave the arabians.Did the arab test muhammed to know whether he was from God or not.
Jesus told everyone that we should not divorce ,and no one should marry a divorced man or woman.
But muhammed married his adopted son's wife and Allah said he commanded it so. Muhammed had more than 10 wives but told his followers not to marry more than 4.
Is it not disturbing and doubtful to believe the revelation of one person.Why would God ask you to marry somebody else's wife.
Even David that did it was condemned by God and he was purnished by God for it. Why did God not purnish muhammed for the same sin.
How are you sure it was not in order to cover up for his sin that he told the people that God commanded him to marry his son's wife.?

Satan is not foolish ,he is wiser than all the professors of this world put together.It is only by prayer that God can reveal every truth to you.

Do not follow the Ishmael and Haggai,who God casted away.But follow Abraham and Isaac from where came the messiah Jesus Christ ,who died for our sins and reconcilled us back to God.

Muhammed was from the lineage of Ishmael.
Abraham had many children but God specifically told Abraham that His covenant shall be established in Isaac.

Jesus also said in John 4:22-23 KJV
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
In spirit,not by facing an idol in the kaaba.
Salvation is of the Jews.
All the prophets in d quran were all Jews except Muhammed who claimed an angel called him and gave him a quran. He had no witness,just him alone.
That is falsehood in in law court you need witnesses.

I had arguments with the Jehovah witness on many issues regarding Christianity telling them the lies we were told, like saying that Jesus said he was going to send muhammed as a comforter.
I was surprised when they opened the Bible and we read John 14:16-17 KJV
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

They asked me whether muhammed was a spirit and was not seen by his followers as at that time physically walking with them as a human being.

From the above bible passage , it is said of the Holy Spirit that ,FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU AND SHALL BE IN YOU.
They asked whether Muhammed was dwelling with d apostles as at then since muhammed was born about 600 yrs after.
That Bible reference also says " it will abide with you for ever". They asked me whether muhammed is dead or abiding with the muslims for ever.
The Holy Spirit cannot be seen with the naked eyes.

How then can we be sure that the Holy Spirit that was promised came. Is there any Biblical record?I asked.

JESUS REMINDED THE APOSTLES ONCE AGAIN from the above referenced passage.

Another lie from the pit of darkness which some muslims told themselves,to the detriment of their souls ,is that Adam was a muslim.
How can that be? For the quran says:
Muhammed was the first muslim in sura 6:14 ".......Say: I am ordered to be the first to surrender unto him.".......
It also says in surah 7: 143 that it was Moses.
In surah 26:51 it tells us that it was some Egyptians.
In surah 2: 127 - 133 it says Abraham.
And finally in surah 2: 37 it misleadingly says it Adam.

olumyde: The rate at which we christians get at each other is really disheartening. Going through nairaland's religion section sometimes is like passing through a war zone. The thing is that we can not all agree or disagree on all issues. On some threads,two people who usually vehemently disagree, will agree and be buddies. Move to d next thread and you'll see them fighting like cats and dogs again. Some people just want to argue or show that they have superior spiritual knowledge, not that they want to edify the body of Christ. Most of the issues we fight over will not even determine whether we'll inherit eternal life or eternal punishment at last. Many of us who come to prove biblical scholars on NL are severely lacking in the area of evangelizing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to unbelievers, all we do is fault churches, fault pastors, fault other believers, etc. We must change this attitude. Even if you have something to say to edify the body of Christ, state it in a non-offensive way. If someone replies you offensively, try to calm the person down, and post gracefully. There are so many unbelievers on NL, we should be thinking of how to reach out to them. I know my post may not get front page cos its not controversial, but i hope it will bless the few ppl that come across it. May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the HolySpirit be with us all.

Excellent marketing by some of his followers would later rescue his botched effort. How many people saw his miracles? One? Twelve? Eighty? Why didn't he show the whole world? Not because this is some giant pop quiz by God to test us -- but because he did not perform any miracles!

Even his apostles can't agree on what miracles he supposedly carried out or when he carried them out. Or whether he returned after death or he didn't. Whether they saw him in person or just as a vision. Rational human beings shouldn't believe this kind of nonsense. Yet most of the world does.

If a man today killed his only son to show how much he loved other people, he would be considered a madman, locked in jail and earn society's contempt. Yet we think this is some sort of noble act by our Father in Heaven.

In Heaven? What, with the harps and the winged angels and the 72 virgins? My God, how stupid do you have to be to believe that?

I know most of you don't actually read your religious texts, and when you do, you assiduously try to avoid the parts that make no sense whatsoever or hide underneath the comforting grasp of your religious leaders who have concocted a bunch of circular logic (a crime to even use that word in regards to Christianity, Islam or Judaism) to shield you from the obvious folly of the written text.

So, I'm not calling you stupid if you haven't really read the material. And I know how powerful brainwashing is. We all received it when we were young and it is exceedingly difficult to break its grasp. But people dance around the issue out of politeness because they don't want to call you what you are -- ignorant.

There are a lot of people I love dearly and respect wholeheartedly who believe in religion. I hate to do this to them. But we have killed far too many people, wasted far too much time on this nonsense for us to keep going in this direction for fear of offense.

Jesus was a lunatic. God is not coming to your rescue. He hasn't come to anyone's rescue in thousands of years, including Jesus. Mohammed was a power hungry, scam artist and ruthless conqueror. I'm tired of all the deaths because we did not want to give offense. Orthodox Jews are wrong and ridiculous.

As are the orthodox and fundamentalists of all of the religions. It says in the Bible that it is an abomination to wear clothes made of two different cloths or to eat shellfish. If you think God will hate you because you mixed wool and linen or because you ate some shrimp, you are insane.

How long are we going to dance around the 800-pound gorilla in the room? The world is run by madmen. It's not just Bush and bin Laden. It is the leader of all of the countries in the Middle East, almost all of the Americas and most of the rest of the world.

Right now as you read this, there are ignorant, hateful Muslims teaching other ignorant Muslims how to put on a suicide belt. There are orthodox Jews telling other Jews how they must never leave their "holy land" no matter what the consequences are to other human beings. They assure their followers -- remember, they are not the chosen ones, we are. If we crush and oppress them, don't worry, God will excuse it, and even desires it, because He is on our side.

There are maniacal Christians who are praying for the end of time. Who are hoping that most of the world's population is wiped off the face of the Earth by their vengeful and murderous God. Whom they believe is, ironically, a loving God. Unless, of course, you make the fatal mistake of not kissing his ass and appeasing him, in which case he will slaughter you and condemn you to eternal torture. What kind of sick people believe this?

The kind who live next to you. The kind who voted for George Bush. The kind who send their religious leaders to the White House to argue against even-handedness in the Middle East because it would prevent their sick prophecy. The kind who have undue influence over how we use the greatest and most lethal army ever built by man.

If you don't want to be called ignorant or misinformed, then get informed. Learn the real nature of our universe and put aside old wives tales about resurrected Gods, omniscient prophets and a guy who could split the Red Sea but couldn't find where he's going in the desert for forty years.

1. to pour out, pour, offer, cast
2. to set, install

the two meanings does not mean to create something. you pour out what has being in existence. you set up already existing parts. you install an already pronounced king [case in point. when a king dies automatically the prince is now the king. the installation does not make the king, it only confirms][case in point 2: i just installed a software in my system. did i just create the software]

summary: to pour out and to install should not be confused as creation.

Look at that verse 13 which says "I was SET UP from everlasting.....
What does it mean to set up?.
It means to CREATE
It means TO BRING ABOUT. etc

Jesus was set up by God ever b4 the world or heaven were created as His only begotten Son. B4 God created the angels.
Even, Jesus categorically said he has a father in heaven.

But I know one can have a good marriage without inviting God. There are just certain laws of nature that one needs to abide with. For example if both spouses understand each other and communicate effectively, they should definitely be able to live with each other and have a good marriage.

I was not born into a christian home or by christian parents.

I was a teenager when I realised that Muslims and Christians are not serving the same God and are heading in diff directions.

I dicided to know more about that religion I was (Islam ).Frankly speaking, you must know what you are doing in this life. I knew there is a purpose for everything in life. With reserch and question from my muslim friends I got to know that most muslims know nothing about the god they worship and are ready to take all or any lie they are fed with.

I said to myself,this Islam and Christianity are not the religion of our forefathers,so why must I worship their gods.

I also started reading the bible and made a research about it.I asked the Jehovah witness many questions.
What I got satisfied me. And I called on my Creator to show some signs regarding the right religion. I got a confirmation from God that Jesus Christ is the only way.

I then joined Deeper Life Bible Church and got born again at their former head quater at Gbagada in lagos.

If you do not ask God for the way,am afraid, you might continue in darkness and keep posting this nonsense and justifiying your actions.
