You better jump from this evil sinking ship because you'll never benefit anything for yourself, family and the rest of humanity by continuing to hang on to a hopeless entity. Politicians know this, and that's why they laugh at your stupidity when you go to the polls to vote them in. They are the most unpatriotic elements of our society who buy properties abroad, invest abroad and run there to rest and treat themselves for common headache. Then, they delude the rest of mentally-raped idîots like the OP to keep believing in patriotism.

Una eye go soon clear!

For those who have sense, the only thing you better is YOURSELF, so that your loved ones and the rest of humanity may benefit also.

The country has been specially created to fail you, don't fail yourself. Always remember this!
Don't spread the hopelessness around. Even you know that Nigeria won't remain like this forever. We will change things soon.
Christianity EtcRe: Your Untamed Sexual Desires Can Expose You To Great Dangers by eodavids(m): 3:25pm On Nov 03, 2019
Interesting15:
by Sunday Akanni

God is the Ultimate Protector, the most Reliable Security. He is the Authentic Defender who doesn't need security. You know, the strongest and "most intelligent" security organizations in our world have disappointed and failed at various occasions (think about the highly-rated United States Secret Service that couldn't stop the assassination of various serving American Presidents under its watch).

In the Bible (in Genesis 15:1), God told Abraham: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield". No wonder, Abraham lived to a full old fruitful age! Even when he was wandering in the territories of the evil, they just couldn't hurt him. God's Pillar of Protection ensured he didn't lose anything that belongs to him while he lives!

God loves displaying His expertise in Security and Protection at all times. He has promised to keep His own safe (physically and spiritually) at all times. Those who had decided to honour Him by doing His will automatically earns His Protection. Any person walking in the will of God would find him or herself being surrounded by the Hedge of God's protection. Nevertheless, while the Hedge of Protection always remain available (as God will always be faithful to His own part), it is possible to silently and ignorantly move away from the Hedge, thereby exposing oneself to dangers (physically and spiritually).

One thing that makes people slip away from within God's Hedge of Protection is SIN. Sin (of all kinds) is a pulling evil that exposes one to the attacks of the enemy. One of the major types of sins that has exposed millions of people to cruelsome attack is sexual immoralities, which often come about as a result of ignorance, and failing to do all it takes to tame and have one's sexual desires under control.

Believe it or not, there is a spiritual dimension to the life we live. Don't be deceived by "ignorant logic". The spiritual (or supernatural) operates on a higher level than the physical. The "logic" in the spiritual is different from the "logic of the physical. Wisdom demands that you do all it takes to ensure your total protection to enable you fulfill your full potentials on earth.

The spiritual realm is a very busy world with activities unstop. Many evil strategies and plans are being constantly devised there. Many harmful arrows are being aimed at people. After all has been finalised in the spiritual realm, it then materialised in the physical realm. Many events tagged "coincidence" in the physical realm, are not actually coincidence, but are "done deals" orchestrated from the spiritual. Many people were killed from the spiritual realm since they were exposed, and they died mysterious and untimely here on earth.

You might wonder (ignorantly), "but I'm an easygoing person trying not to offend anyone, why would anyone want to hurt me?" Listen, by the virtue of being a human being, you automatically have an enemy in the devil (and he hates you vehemently). By extension, all his demons and agents are your enemies too.

Therefore, you can't afford slipping away from God's Hedge of protection if you want to fulfill destiny.

And so, you must tame your desires and keep in check any urge that tries placing your hands in sinful ventures. Always rely on God's strength every moment, and play your part by fleeing all forms of immoralities at all times. And when you made any mistake, swiftly ask for forgiveness of sins in Jesus Name, and get restored before it's too late.
Well done Dear.

God bless you

This ought not to happen. Each has a distinct function to perform. There wouldn't have been a clash if each of these arms of our national agencies weren't overzealous in the performance of their functions.

There is no such overlapping of duties that should warrant this national embarrassment.

It's old only recycled and thrown online today again ..Jonathan has clarified this a long time ago and the govt opted they way it did because the risk of rescuing the girls in the middle of a fire fight was too high and they didn't want the same thing that happened when british SAS bungled a rescue operation of some of it's citizens in Bauchi which ended up in both hostages being killed .
They needed to be alive to be rescued by the acclaimed Muhammadu Buhari administration. Where they dead from firefight during a planned forceful rescue, none would have been alive to be rescued later.

All these haters of Jonathan wouldn't have shown understanding if an attempted rescue went bad and claimed those lives.

Only wise hearts can comprehend the necessity that gave birth to that decision. Not for chicken brains grin

If Buhari charges Sowore for the same offense committed against Jonathan, it shows Buhari and his team are better at their game unlike Gej's team who were concerned with stashing money in private coffers...

There might be freedom of "hate" speech against the government of then, but they were less concerned about it because they felt they were invincible to an average Nigerian and they will win the election as usual. Of course, they almost got away with it.

The charges Buhari held against Sowore as far as we are all concerned is constitutional........ If Jonathan was daft not to play his political game well, then it still means, he is/was and will ever be clueless

My prayer is the government should set Sowore free for always standing on the side of the truth irrespective, but he should learn to choose his cards wisely.
Buhari doesn't know anyone, not even those ones who campaigned against Jonathan.
So you have no commendation for Tolerance and fair play as displayed by Gej during his time.

You are obsessed with "stashing money in private coffers..."

PoliticsRe: Xenophobia: Why We Closed Our Embassy In Nigeria – South Africa by eodavids(m): 9:34am On Sep 06, 2019
manomam:
A lot of Black South Africans (especially those at the bottom of the pyramid), have always had issues with the rapidly expanding and often highly resourceful African community in their country.
These set of South African citizens, unfortunately, see fellow Africans as low hanging fruits that they can throw sticks at, kill, rape, steal from and bully, without serious repercussions from their government or security apparatus.
Personally, I have had black South Africans ask me if I am Ibo or Yoruba while I was in South Africa. I asked why and they said if I was Ibo they would have been wary of me! I personally thought that was a load of crap, profiling a whole tribe based on the sins of a few.
I have had a South African lady tell me to my face that Nigeria is a Banana Republic! I remember the venom in her voice and the disdain in her eyes.
I have had a black South African hotel manager yell at me to allow him finish what he was saying and not interrupt him because he profiled me as an arrogant and aggressive Nigerian.
Fact is, there is a lot of anger in that land, maybe due to the years of suppression they suffered during the long period of apartheid, or maybe be other underlying issues. This has made a lot of them disillusioned and unsure of self.
The swag and never-say-die spirit of the Nigerian is also a major point of irritation for a lot of South Africans, because we just seem to swoop in, take over the whole place and start living their dreams right in front of them!
However, let's not forget that we also tend to piss people off with our loud, showy, noisy and in-your-face lifestyles and quite a number of our people are involved in a lot of unsavory things.
Let's also remember that we treat ourselves like crap in our own country, we kill, kidnap and decimate ourselves and sadly, our government seems to have abandoned us to our fate and we constantly and viciously demarket ourselves and our country in cyberspace, forgetting that others are watching and learning.
I believe we need to reassess our individual relationships as Nigerians, before we reassess our relationship with South Africa and its people. There's a lot for us to do to get from where we are to where we are supposed to be.
This time however, our government should stop speaking grammar and make a strong statement in this regard, because really, enough is enough.
God bless.
Well said Boss!

But, I am baffled that the South Africans could not withstand a common threat by angry Nigerians whereas, their people back home have consistently attacked our people while their government do just little above none. I have not been informed that Nigerian High Commission in S.A. closed office.

How is it that people don't like what they give to others?

NB:
ABOUT 15YRS BACK, then Governor of GOMBE state demolished a mosque wrongly built by the road in an accident prone area, beside their Gombe line terminus.
Hell broke loose. The worshippers of that mosque accused Goje, (the then governor) of siding with their rival mosque across the road....

Subsequently,Governor Goje bought a bigger land nearby and handed to the owners of the demolished mosque, plus cash donation. Reliable report shows that a gigantic mosque was built few years for this worshippers that wailed endlessly for the demolished mosque.

CareerRe: 5 Easy Ways To Position Yourself For The Right Opportunities by eodavids(m):
magazineguy:
Opportunities are not always lying around waiting to be grabbed, but sometimes they are. However, they are fleeting and they don’t care if you are ready or not. They require you to take initiative, step out of your comfort zone and apply yourself.

Only meaningful actions will translate into possibilities for you. Consider the soil; it doesn’t care about your need for food. It cares about your initiative to plant the seed. The key to creating and attracting more opportunities is definitive action.

How do you position yourself for the right opportunities though? Nigerians call it ‘packaging’. You’ve got to work on yourself and your environment to attract the right opportunities.

Here are some things you can do.

Look Inwards, know yourself.
This a foundational step that you must take. To know yourself means knowing what you desire, what your personality traits are, where your strengths and weaknesses lie, and how to use these to your advantage. Take time to scrutinize yourself and understand the things that make you tick. Self-awareness will open your mind to your most intimate motivations and that of others towards you. It will also help you to decide what opportunities you desire. Only by knowing what you seek, can you go after it. Visualize and write down where you want to be and the opportunities you need to get there. Then set SMART goals that can help you get there. Goals help you stay on course and on schedule. Goals also help you filter out distractions along the way, so you can stay alert and focused on the important things. Without clarity of where you are going, you may end up somewhere you’d rather not be.

Explore, Learn and Network
The world is filled with opportunities but you’ll never learn of them or grab them if you don’t leave your comfort zone. Attend free events, conferences or seminars in the industry you’re looking for opportunities in. Network, introduce yourself, tell people what you can offer – some of the best opportunities fall on your laps when you least expect it. If you’re trying to meet someone who you don’t have direct access to, find a mutual friend who does, and request an introduction. Sometimes, you may even have to be introduced to the person who will introduce you to them. Don’t falter, determination produces results.

Surround yourself with inspiring people
The attitudes of the people around you play a big role in shaping your attitude as well as the quality of opportunities that you find. Your circle can either push you towards your dream or keep you stagnant. Their lifestyles can either motivate you or discourage you. To get ahead in life and attract the best opportunities, choose wisely whom you spend most of your time with. Surround yourself with positive, inspiring people. A continued association with positive, supportive and inspiring people will influence your future because you subconsciously start to model these behaviours. Likewise, negative people significantly impact their surroundings, often lacking ambition and spreading pessimistic thoughts. So, make sure to start and nurture relationships with people whose lifestyles and choices inspire you to do better.

Let your work do the work
Are you an amazing writer? Then create a blog and start publishing articles or submit to other magazines or journals. Do you have an eye for fashion and style? Start sharing blogs or vlogs sharing your fashion tips and tutorials. Are you amazing at graphic design? Are you a badass digital marketer? Share some of your coolest tips and tricks online. The more information you put out there, the more people will recognize your name and think of you as an expert. You must position yourself as an expert in your field, to be recognized as such. By showing that you are great at what you do, your chances for getting opportunities and offers will increase exponentially. Make sure to keep track of all your work, content, accomplishments in a portfolio, blog or an online resume.

Remain Open to alternate Opportunities
You might set out with a goal in mind of exactly what you want to do and how you want to do it, but rarely will life work out exactly how you think it will. Open yourself up to alternate opportunities that may have not been on your radar.

For instance, a writer can go on to take a corporate communications or brand management job where they will still be telling stories with their skills. A graphic designer may find themselves accepting an opportunity to do UI/UX design. It might even be a complete pivot from what you wanted when you set out, but the best opportunities aren’t always what you envisioned. Sometimes opportunities that use your skills are different than what you expect.
