erico2k2: Right right, well then, waht policies have the govt take to check-mate this in the long run,? none, they are too busy trying to recoup monies spent during election. they do not care what happens to the rest of Nigeria tbh Yeah that's where our anger should be directed at. We should ask what the government is actually doing to make sure we never experience this again. |

erico2k2: Nop STOP, this has been the case but then the previous FG had a team of managers in the finance sector and they where managing it so the citizens did not feel the effect, just today the bank of England cut interest rate ot 0.25 to stimulate the economy cos of Brexit.that was teh Bank of England not the prime minister. We can continue to try to manage the situation but then we are only being short-sighted. Planning for the long term is key. My only grouse with our government is when they don't start taking definite actions to make us a productive country. |

wirinet: You people have what i call " my father's farm is the biggest" syndrome. You judge everybody else with your own limited experiences and expectations. People marry with different expectations, to some men food or ability of their women to cook is way down on priority levels, it may be other issues like sex, companionship, intelligence, beauty and even to help in finances. You cannot impose your own expectations on others. In other climes like western countries ability of women to cook is not an important marriage consideration. As i said, the most important consideration in a marriage is love. Of course love. But very soon you will find out that love is never enough. Don't make enough money for your family you hear and see if that love won't turn to nag. In the Western countries you talked about rate of divorce is high, what do you say about that? What happened to the love? |

Ezechinwa: Why do you have a maid? As a Man, why can't I cook as well? Cooking and praying for 1hr doesn't mean she's a good wife. in fact, what makes you think she can't learn all these things in the marriage? must she be perfect? let's stop being brainwashed by these men who move with private jets.. Why do I have a maid? I don't man and I never will. If the plan is to teach her after marrying her fine but I will advice you do that during courtship before the wedding. Even if your plan is to do it after the wedding fine it's your life. The most important thing is that she should be able to cook. Nothing makes a wife a good wife but herself. That doesn't mean you should not enjoy good meal at home. Your wife is not a slave that's true which means you should support her in the kitchen too but not the other way round. But if your plan is for you to be the one to prepare the meals while your wife watches TV, congratulations. |

pippimp: All of it. Upon all Nigeria's religion, it's people are the most corrupt, vile an acheic thinker in all the world. They have no value for life or respect for one another. If they did, the country would not be the way it is today. I wonder what praying for an hour and cooking have to do with a good marriage. Smh Do you know if him and his pastors have had to counsel a lot of couples that are having problems because the wife couldn't cook? Why would you want to have a wife that can't cook? Your wife is the number one home maker and you will surely have problems if she can't manage your home. You want to be eating outside? So after going through a lot of stress before you can marry her you still have to enroll her in cookery school or employ a cook? Deep down you know Adeboye said the right thing but you just feel like being an antagonist. For that of 1hr prayer, the message was not for your types. It's for those that are ministers. You can't/won't pray for an hour so why would you appreciate someone that can since you are not really interested in religion. Though I agree with you that one of Nigeria's problem is religion. But I wouldn't put it solely on religion. No spiritual leader will ask one to steal, fight, kill, destroy etc. We are adults and we know our left from right do every action we take we should take full responsibility and blame it on any religion. Where is our conscience? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Open Letter To Pastor Adeboye by eph12(m): 7:14pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
paxonel: ask for forgiveness and repent? ofcourse yes, it is the best thing to do. but like i said, that does not make you part of God's kingdom. anybody can repent, Muslims, atheists (find out the dictionary meaning of repentance, it means to have a change of heart, stop doing whatever... ) what makes you a Christian into God's kingdom is simply that you believe that Jesus is the Christ..which you have already done. john 3:16 whosever believe should not perish but have eternal life. It's a separate thing entirely from repentance. romans 11:6. grace is a seperate thing entirely from works. so, when adeboye stand in front of congregation telling christians if they don't repent they will go to hell? i mean, i begin to wonder, what is he up to? Wow! That easy? So I can go on doing what I like. Lie steal destroy etc. I just need to believe that Jesus is the Christ and am safe? I don't need to practice it just believe? Thanks for this explanation bros. |

OgaInnocent: You are utterly contradicting yourself. How can you say you understand and still say: "I FAIL TO SEE WHAT GOOD THAT WOULD DO" .If you can't see the good, I am seeing it.
Note: I have not particularised any particular incidence. There are multiple incidences. Haba! I said I understood that you only want him to publicly condemn the act and not threaten the government. Or is that not what you said in the other post? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Open Letter To Pastor Adeboye by eph12(m): 3:23pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
paxonel: Good, God bless you. i will just go straight to the Bible. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Now, repentance is simply making attempt to keep the law, it is not bad at all. But we should have it at the back our mind that the real thing that the Bible want people to understand is Romans 3:28 says Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.(without repentance ). Now, God's kingdom is the faith which justify people, this is the real thing pastors should let people know. But they are not. The implication of this is that, if people don't understand that God gave Jesus freely they will never make free giving a value in their day to day life. They will keep thinking of what will be their gain anytime the opportunity to give arises, a typical characteristics of the average Nigerian, which is seen in politicians. But because, the general message is, if you don't repent you will go to hell fire (which is not true to christians ), they will think that this is the value of God,let us not be merciful(afterall, God is not merciful ), taking what we can get from people. i don't know if you understand the concept? Seriously I tried reading everything. I just need an answer to this question; if I steal, kill, commit adultery etc do I need to ask for repentance from God or not? |
Politics › Re: "Misplacement Of Priorities " - An Open Letter To Pastor Adeboye by eph12(m): 3:19pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
OgaInnocent: My dear, you are missing the point. Did I hear you say THREATEN? I did not say so. I have not insinuated so. I only demand a PUBLIC CONDEMNATION OF THE ACT.
Do you understand now? OK I understand now. But I fail to see what good that would do. The vice president is a redeem pastor so he has the ears of baba any day any time. The imam in question already regrets his action, also those guys that killed the woman. The lion does not have to roar before the prey becomes afraid of him. Am sure the government must have assured him of thorough investigation and others so why should he still speak on the matter? To give strength to fellow Christians? I don't understand. |

fyneguy: The idea is to use the channels to stabilize forex. CBN has asked licensed transfer operators to sell the foreign currencies to BDCs, to shore up supply and consequently stabilize exchange rate.
WorldRemit may have to apply for the licence and run its operations in accordance with these policies. At bolded is the issue here. They are supposed to be informed of any change in policy and what they need to do to adjust but they got nothing just speculations. Our government needs to learn how to carry people/businesses along. If you don't want them again tell them and you want them to go through another process let them know. That's professionalism. |
