Megziflips: Thank you for pointing that out. If you re-read what I wrote in the bolded text you referenced, you'll see I qualified it with the word "almost".
I know SOP plays an important role in the application process and all, but in some cases it's just near impossible to convince through an SOP.
For example, if I had a Master's degree in a certain course, how possible do you think it will be to convince the embassy to grant me visa for a bachelor's degree in that same course?
Like I also said, I took my time to read the OP's other posts before giving a feedback, and if you did same you'll find that OP has a Bsc Accounting, full member of both ACCA and CPA Canada, work experience of 4years and is aged 28. I think we should call a spade a spade so people won't waste their time and money. The OP's qualifications is already higher than a PGD/C, and that being the case, he'll almost certainly be rejected. I know my answer is quite blunt and candid, but I'm just being factual so he's well aware of his chances. Better to apply to an appropriate program than to apply to an inappropriate program and then try to convince the embassy. Prevention is better than cure. I like the way u broke it down, his qualification is definitely higher than d proposed program, in addition to what u said, if anyone is in his shoes I think i'll advice people of such profile to keep some of those professional qualifications to themselves by not declaring it in their application, just apply with your B.sc. as u rightly said its difficult to convince a VO of going for a b.sc wen u already posse a m.sc in that same course as it applies to d above boded . we all have to be smart and cover all necessary tracks to go pass this VO's. thanks for that post. |

Megziflips: From your other answers, I have a general sense of your profile and I'm almost certain you'd face visa rejection if you go for a PGD/PGC program. No disrespect and I wish not to discourage you.
You have very strong qualifications and I'm quite certain you'd have a realistic shot at most master's programs.
First I'd answer your question then I'd give a suggestion.
Look at the following schools: Ryerson University - Master of Science in Management University of Windsor - Master in Management
Both institutions do not require GMAT/GRE and their application is still open, so if you act fast you can make it in time. Although, the strong deadline to be considered for scholarship at Ryerson has passed, and Windsor doesn't offer scholarships for their stated program.
So application to these programs are advisable if you're willing to fund yourself.
On the other hand, my suggestion: Like I earlier mentioned, you have a good profile and you have solid chances of getting into many (funded) programs. In comparison to the hefty fees you'd have to pay as tuition, the price for the GRE/GMAT exam is negligible, and if you can increase your chance at a fully funded program by foregoing that cost, it'll be penny wise pound foolish not to. I'd suggest you write the GMAT/GRE exam and try for some of the research management programs from which you can procure funding.
Hope this will be off help to you, and good luck. well said, but i'd have a clarification to the bolded, pls you cant be so sure of that. if the poster present a good and well convinced app, he would get it. your SOP plays a big role in that. my general advice for all pgc/d applicants is to always submit a SOP along with their documents, though this is not a compulsory requirement from CIC but its necessary as we've seen different scenario on this thread on how SOP helped secure TRV. |

Holyfield1: I hope so, Buh I'm afraid of one thing, I'm still gonna use the same bank statement and how about the record of this ''money lodgment'' transaction, Won't the history affect it?....With the money already transferred back to my relatives? I think @yemdogg has answered that correctly |

Holyfield1: Yes the only complaint was that a huge sum of money was deposited in the account different from previous account history because as at the time I submitted my Sponsor had just withdrawn a huge amount of money from his account like 3m, So my co-sponsors and relatives started depositing money in the account like 4m, The VO noticed this, hence reason for the refusal, It's painful tho, buh I'm sure refiring Hmmmmm thats money lodgment. sure u will fire back and get it this time. |

Osemigho: Baba, he is not your in-law. He is your sis in-law. So, it will be long story that require serious evidence. The story is hard to believe for study in Nigeria not to talk of 4 years program in Canada. I will advise you go for PG study. He pays your fees from his account and transfer money to your account. Then your story will sound more believable. Kindly stay away from UG study. You can try that after PG study, if that is still what you desire. Just advise. I have no personal visa experience nor have any influence on your visa app. So, the decision is yours to make. Well said, am not suppose to post this but just to help someone out there, its wot u claim he is to u is wot cic would access u on, i av seen pple use family friend as uncle wen dey are not related or bear same name. He/she can do that and let d so-called inlaw write letter that his ur uncle and also swear an affidavit to affirm that plus reasonable acc inflow, outflow and balance. U'll b ok. It's just my opinion cox dere is no difference in him and a true uncle dat doesn't bear d same name with ur family. So y not use him as ur uncle and safe ur self d stress of proofing one story dat myt not fly in d VO's view. Its an advice, my close uni friend did that and his already a PR now in Canada. Austinpee4: Oh! If you are using him as sponsor, question will be in what capacity? He is already a 3rd party sponsor and some level of commitment to you must be seen not just saying he will sponsor you. So he may want to elaborate on his responsibilities to your studies in his letter by atleast stating he will be responsible for your upkeep since you paid your tuition yourself and show a strong prove to that by atleast transfering a good amount to you. Meanwhile, i hope you have shown documentary evidences on how you will raise the tuition for subsequent year(s) in your financial documents if your prog is more than a year. If you have, you are good. If you are using him as sponsor, more than stating it, let him show commitment to convience the VO. I like ur view, fortunately all ur above mentioned points had bn taken care off. U nailed it all. It will end in praise |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 8:11pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Austinpee4: @Eraytee and Penitential, both of you have a point and the back and forth on affídavit and letter of sponsorship shouldn't generate further argument. Both serve same purpose but the circumstances of the two are not the same. The both can be as detailed as much as you want it to be. While a letter of sponsorship is addressed to a visa officer or whom it may concern, your facts can be assumed true or not(signature can be forged), an affidavit is a binding document by law and a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation and can be used as evidence in court and it is punishable if voilated. So one can choose to write what so ever you want in any of the documents(affidavit or letter) but one(affidavit) will be written under an oath and legally binding than a letter. Both will serve same purpose for sponsorship and besides, the embassy doesn't specify that an afidavit MUST be submitted, it only shows you have commited yourself under an oath and law and hence can be used against one under a prevailing law if sponsor doesn't live up to responsibility which makes it sometimes trusted even though we know the weakness of our judiciary system. Thanks for your clarification, am not in for argument, d more reason I don't comment on all post, i was only trying to say d person dat asked d question should do d two above subject that they are not same but serve d same purpose. Its well, God help us all. Am done. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 7:58pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Austinpee4: Ok. You should be good to go then since he has commited by paying your first year fees. Also, if you can have him transfer say 2.5m to your account and you leave it from now till when you want to apply before you print your statement while he states the 2.5m will be for your upkeep, it could boost your chances more so they don't start being skpetical as to how you will maintain yourself. All the best Bro i paid my fees myself just using him as my sponsor, cox he has d quality and wot d VO would take as sponsor, am married and working. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 6:28pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Austinpee4: Firstly, Who is your sponsor? How did you show relationship with sponsor? This is usually the first thing to put inplace before other financial strength. My uncle is my sponsor with same surname. Birth certificate and state of origin for both of us cleared dat. In my first application I never had any issues as regards dat anyway my choice of program was wot killed my application. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 6:20pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
penitential: Please can you tell me what affidavit of sponsorship and letter of sponsorship is been used for as you've claim they are both not the same? An affidavit of sponsorship contains the sponsor's name, type of work s/he does, annual earning, and stating other income source. It also shows relationship between the sponsor and the applicant....signed and most times sealed which makes it more official than just ordinary letter. Both affidavit of sponsorship and letter of sponsorship are used for the same purpose (stating sponsor's commitment to the applicant). Bro I didn't argue what u stated, but telling me sponsorship letter and affidavit of sponsor is d same is what I won't agree cox am not a first timer in this stuff and I know what dey both look lik even though they r for d same purpose but they are not d same. Affidavit of sponsor is more detailed than letter. In ur letter of sponsorship u r not supposed to be telling us ao much u earn or ur properties per say, it's just to tell d embassy ur willness to support whoever is concerned. This is not an argument bro we just need to let pple know d difference. Shikena. God bless u. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 8:54am On Jan 19, 2017 |
penitential: Yes, both are the same. You can choose to notarized your letter of sponsorship. it not the same bro, if u notorized ur sponsorship letter wch is not necessary cox the letter is addressed to the embassy with d signature of the sponsor at the end of the letter. affidavit of sponsorship on the other hand gives details of the supporting documents your sponsor is giving to support your application. documents like landed properties, photocopy of data page of passport or any internationally recognized identification (this is needed to confirm the signature on the sponsor's letter), his support to u, CAC certificates, your sponsor's relationship to u can also be repeated in this affidavit, summary of annual earnings from ur sponsor from his/her work or rent from properties listed (if applicable) and so many other documents. this is a legal tender that really affirms the sponsors readiness to sponsor you. this is totally different from letter of sponsorship. |

thesoj: Include proof of emails you sent to your agent where you told him/her to state your US visa denials. While this may get the agent in trouble, it tells CIC the truth and helps you avoid a five-year ban. Don't trust the agent to respond on your behalf to CIC, cos he/she will only try to protect himself/herself. Also, this should be a lesson for you to not put all your trust in an agent... or if you use an agent, make sure you review what he/she sends to CIC on your behalf. You risk being banned if you don't take this into your own hands. well said, but i think u dshud ask this question, did he declare initially that he used agent on CIC forms? if no, then now saying its the agent's fault is like going from frying pan to fire. |

Osemigho: Lol. Welcome to the race! Kindly pick your lane and focus.
If you are looking for supervisor in just one school, be ready for 99% chances of getting "sorry, i have no space". However, if you want a least 5% reply of "yes", you will create a list of all schools in canada that offer your program, reduce the list to those that require getting a supervisor, further reduce it by those that offer funding if you need it, and finally reduce by those that require hard copy transcript before making decisions to reduce cost.
After Then, send good email to all professors, interested in your previous or proposed research, in the programs making your final list.
My final advise for you : don't reduce the list by hard copy transcript before sending the email, and don't disregard those that don't offer funding , if you have less than 80% GPA in your last two years of study or if you can afford to pay the school fees.
A guide on how to draft good email is on the first page of this thread part and Google.
Go and do your assignment or comment if you think you have done it with proof.
The supervisor search race is not for the faint hearted. I pray you are favoured.
I no be guru o. You may wait for gurus' opinion if that is what you desire. Shalom! You nailed it bro. well said!!! |

michV: I may have to bitterly drop this here again which recently happened.
you can imagine when a moniker from this forum has me as a contact, got every ''single detail'', loop holes and processes involved in securing TRV and had an agent to finish the process, only to utilize me out of my work schedule in office, my leisure times and thinks using an agent has an advantage and at last i received ''thank you very much/God bless you'' and pays the agent more than N150k which i got to know when i smartly asked about how the application is going only to find out ''I have already submitted''.
my point here is if you would use an agent, why bug me to the core constantly and I do everything to please you, only to find out I am good to be utilized while an agent is good to have a good pay. I don't think I would tolerate PMs anymore from this forum because some/most contacts here are not useful to me,share your problems openly in this forum, if I come online and feel like commenting,i do. if i don't feel like even being quoted, I skim through the pages and leave.

Folaroyal: 1. LoE or SoP are written as official letters; it carries addresses of writer and recipient, date and subject..... Your name will only appear at the close of the document... (After 'yours faithfully')
2. While both names refer to a same document.... You will address gaps under "Academics" or "Employment".... In the body of your letter...LoE or SoP....whichever is applicable to your situation! Regards SOP's is an essay not a letter per say, all you need is put your name at the top corner, mostly right. what follows is the topic wch is "statement of purpose or personal statement of intent" then follwed by the body of the essay in paragraphs as applicable to you. SOP is not a letter its an essay and essay doesnt carry address(es). Just my opinion. |
