Thank you so much for all your responses and yes I know I should have read through the previous pages, believe me I did and did not really come across what I was looking for and in the case of the amount needed in his account, how much can be said to be enough.

Having travelled out of Nigeria before, does it give me and edge and also do I really need IELTS?

Any amount that wud cover ur course of study and living expenses wud b enof. Also avin traveled b4 is good point on ur travel history. Not all skul demands IETLS (in case of Msc or PhD). But i fink its an added advantage. With all dis paraphernalia nothing is certain abt d VO. God is d only certainty in all app. All d best.

Yes sure so far u he/she is willing 2. If u can get a masters admsn, it would be better and help facilitate ur TRV, pgd/pgc too is ok and fine since its inline with ur bsc.

I remember one of those days you were frustrated and angry which i dont blame you.. U kept saying things like... Make dem even return ur passport for you to apply to other countries (I may be wrong) and many other stuffs but the bottom line here is.. when frustrated or sadden by the delay of CIC dont say things that will cause u something you will regret.

I tink i understand y funds was tickd: official rate of canadian dollars is around 240. Using dat 29200×240= 7,008,000. funds available wasnt enough. An increase in funds will do the trick.

I won't agree with dat cox wen looking at funds, wot is most important is d inflow not d balance cox it easier 2 withdraw ur balance frm ur acc. But d inflow actually tells d VO d trajectory progression of money coming into d acc. I fink @michV wasn't lucky with d VO dat accessed his doc. Have seen pple who got TRV with less dan a mil as d balance in d acc. He was just refused on baseless pt (my opinion dou).

I applied for a Study permit May 19,2016 and I am yet to receive a notification of my passport. I have also done my medicals and forwarded same. My school resumes tomorrow Sept 6,2016. Should I panic? this is my 2nd visa application with CIC, my first was a visit which was used properly.

Please my people,advise/encourage me cos right now my head wan explode!

In actual fact deres nuffin 2 panic abt, we both in same shoes n we av many others here who r in same scenario as urs. Just continue 2 pray it all end in praise. I can only advise u 2 defer ur admsn till winter 2017.

yea i have and i feel devastated and heart broken! They could not find a tangible reason but only to tick insufficient funds to pay TUITION fees only is saddening. My clear sincere profile of funds on this.
I paid 7789cad 1st semester tuition fee,
My blood mother was my sponsor and still active in service,Inshot a Bank officer at zenith bank and i am the only dependant in her sponsorship.
Statement of acct for the period of 6months,no money lodgement, was 13mill inflow,6.1mill closing balance,her land docs,her stocks and its certificates.
total remaining school fees + accommodation and others were = 29200cad.employment docs of hers,her payslip,her work Id,intro letter,sponsorship letter,affidavit of support were in place. This is a total heart break for me. I have already applied for my GCMS NOTE and about to terminate my PGC admission with my school.To me it's clear CIC GAMBLES with pgd(c) TRV applications.my hardworks went in vain. I just don't know how to start all over again

Yes, they give TRV after resumption date, they will just ask u to get a new letter from ur skool for a new start date. No u don't need to re-apply for a new TRV, cos d one u will be given is still valid

My question is dis: will cic ask for d deferral letter b4 giving d TRV? Or dey wud just give d trv n advice u to get a deferral letter? @yemdogg ur opinion n oda gurus in d aose pls

After series of applications for masters maybe because i didn't meet up the B/C grade for international students applying for maters,my question

1. if i go for graduate certificate course program can it help boost my chances for a masters degree with my bsc.

2. For the graduate diploma most schools in canada requires the same B/C grade for Pgd,wouldn't want to risk that $120 on application fee,please what are the chances for someone with 2.00gpa in getting admission to PGD program in canada instuition for healthcare/science courses.

I will say its not a problem getting a pgd admsn. I know pple wt dat cgpa dat got admission into pgd programs. Nuffin is automatic bt i bliv u av a chance.

Your own better, someone asked for help fr His Younger brother going to Toronto/ Manitoba and later to Brandon and I offered to help. A place to stay both in Toronto and Winnipeg but I told him he will drop some food items fr his host in Toronto, He agreed.
My contact even agreed to pick him up at the airport savinv Him $50 for Taxi.
We were talking on phone and I told them I will bring the items to the airport, call the host so that they can talk then give the guy travelling the hosts number so I can be sure the person getting the number is actually travelling they agreed.
The on the set day, I called and the guy travellling wasnt picking till 3pm, so I called the sister who said they are on the way from Benin to Lagos.
My next call the father picked and said the boy isnt leaving again. Of course I knew it all, so I sent a mail to the elder brotherwho asked for help on this thread and he apologized and said the parents would have preferred I gave them the contact ahead.
I learnt.

Pls in all fairness, I'll say a big sorry for dose disappointment, I kip wondering y Nigerians can't b truthful just for once **deepestSigh** we alwz do things dat wud block d chance for odas comin behind. She has applied for or has already gotten her trv for a course starting this month but she can't meet up to resume this fall and wants to defer till jan 2017

Unfortunately the next available date for her course is fall 2017 which is too far so she wants to look for another course from another school to join in for jan 2017

Now from my own point of view would her explanation fly at the poe or not? Given that she got trv with a start date of sept 2016 and probably flies into canada in dec 2016 to resume in another school with another course

I think @lawmerchant is looking at her case from this point of view

this is quite tough dou, she can travel but i think it might jeopardize her status as a student (my opinion dou). let the gurus in the aose say deir views. ur question shud best b answered by som1 already in d system to clear all assumptions.

I guess there is something u ain't getting rite abt d linkage, carefully fill d required form as u entered it in ur app. If u av a copy of ur form submitted it shud be a guide in doing dat. There's nuffin 2 worry about. If u av any important msg from CIC u wud b contacted via email.
