it does bro, A friend of mine got his PPR on a sunday last year July, it's just not something that occurs frequently.

John39swill:
I doubt the genuineness of this PPR..

PPR don't drop on Sundays, it can only drop midnight against Saturday morning.

IRCC drops PPR only on working days, I can prove u wrong if u doubt me.

Thanks for the heads up, we never stopped praying 🙏🏽, it will end in praise. Application is at the last stage🤞🏾

John39swill:
Speaking from experience,

When I applied, 1$CAD was around 700 NGN,
when I got approval 1$ CAD was around 1200 NGN.

They calculate based on when u submitted.

Please pray 🙏 always, it's gonna end in praise

Hello @JMG12 @zubizareta I just hope the VOs are not using current rate to judge applications submitted last year? this particular issue is so unclear. I hope there's a way they get the equivalent of POF at submission date. when I submitted my spouse application we had excess of over 18kCAD base on the exchange rate at that time. the situation is not same again...

JMG12:
Your application was refused based on insufficient funds and lack of home ties.
What you can do, is let the sponsor pay the first-semester tuition fee and transfer the living expenses to your account or your sponsor should make the money available to you. work on your home ties (employment, family, assets, and relationship)
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 7:11pm On Mar 11
please what about a scenario where you did upfront medical which has been passed and you now have eligibility in progress and background check in progress (in progress since submission).. is there any positivity to be deducted from this?

Predator188:

Everybody that got visa approved has been on your shoes..
Your application will still undergo final review after medical request and medical passed...to make sure that you are eligible for the program that you applied..when they finish they will send a message ...
As for background check it will be updated..it has finished before medical request...

if your program of study is not MSc or PhD, dont submit a study permit application without an attestation letter, else they will return it back to you. contact Seneca college on how you can go about the attestation letter

AfroBeatDiary:

Seen, withdrawal letter due to attestation letter. Ogaar o.

How do I get attestation letter from Seneca College?

when did you do you medicals?

smartola:
Waiting is not actually for the faint hearted, my application makes 10 weeks today and nothing yet, even my medical is yet to be updated to pass, nothing has changed on my profile since I submitted my application….. I just fee like my life has been on hold for the past 10 weeks😔
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 5:58am On Feb 17
you don't, have to be worried about the present exchange rate, once your POF at the time of submission is enough, then all is fine. I made similar inquiry about my spouse application and @JMG12 responded with this same response. I wanted to raise a webform initially till I got the advice here not to worry about it. so be calm

CarpricornPratt:

Hi @JMG12 please I sent you a message here and on Instagram. Please do you think I should add some more money to my POF and send a webform with the new update.. I submitted my study permit application Dec 23 and did biometrics Jan 5. Then the exchange rate was about 650, now the exchange rate has doubled.. I submitted $53,000 ( I am going alone, I am not married , 18k for tuition and 24k for living expenses, as my program is 14months , leaving me with $10k extra to spare) but now with this volatile exchange rate my POF has depreciated in value to $32k (so technically does not cover my living expenses and tuition anymore) . My application is 8weeks now, and the only thing showing is Biometrics and Background check -IN PROGRESS, Eligibility and Medical says -NOT STARTED.. I am really worried, do I put more cash in my account and send a webform with the new statement balance?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 2:32am On Feb 13
Thank you so much smiley

JMG12:
You will have to send an updated SOA every week or month because the exchange rate might keep increasing, it is only those who haven't submitted their application that need to worry about it.

Best thing take your mind off it and focus on other things, I only check my spouse application on Friday only (once a week). I rather focus on God and other things grin

Zino89:
How do you guys do it the wait no be here ooo I applied on Jan 15 …do you login everyday or you just wait for message to pop up?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 2:07pm On Feb 12
If it wont affect our application truly then no need for it. We applied 19th December 2023, we uploaded e-medical on Saturday 10th February. Thanks a lot for your input

JMG12:
Please don't send an updated statement since they didn't request it. When did you apply?

You can add any updated information about your application to your application. Nothing like over sabi😊. Send it through webformwebform, you just need to explain it in that text box on the site or attach a LOE about the information you are adding.

Good day everyone, Please I need your input on this, my spouse study permit application is in process and we want to submit an updated POF even though we weren't asked for it, we are doing this because of the way the value of naira is depreciating, I hope we are not doing over sabi or should we just wait for them to ask for it?

Dont fall for it, its a scam, I have seen a genuine offer letter for a post-doc position in a university in Canada before, this your offer letter is no where near what i saw. Do you have a LMIA code? dont forfeit your work biko. this life no easy already, dont make it worse for yourself by falling for this. Be careful!!!

HOMA777:
Good morning, please I need your polite and sincere advise?
I got a job offer from a company in Canada, hopefully to resume by mid September. They have designated an immigration attaché whom have reached out to me for submission of my credentials and international passport for visa processing. Please be informed the said company have paid 850 dollars in my name for the visa processing and also rep as my guarantor.

Here his my challenge, my passport expires in Dec 2021 I need a renewal link fast track precisely 7-10days Max. It's been over a week since the immigration attaché reached out to me for submission, right now I feel like every day count. My other challenge is that I just resume a new job in July 2021 I need time to visit immigration office for renewal but my current job is so stressful that even when you step out of the company every other staff will be questioning how did it happen?

I hold a high priority position. I reside in Lagos. I am feeling like running away to have the time to do what I need to do. Please advise me? I resigned from my former job and it took me 7month to get this new one.

Kindly view the attached letter of appointment if it's scam or otherwise. Thank you everyone a

there was rumor sometimes ago about the immigration minister, that he's going to make an announcement and it has to do with some major changes as regards express entry... we are still waiting for that, a lot have lost points on age, leaving learning French as second language as the only way to remain competitive. they are meeting up with their targets for immigration anyways so they are not in hurry to resume EE draw (covid19 effect). we can only keep the faith alive nobody forced us to this grin grin

temmitats:
Isn’t it better to announce that the stream has been put on hold until a certain date,so everyone can remove their mind and wait until the stipulated date. The anxiety and uncertainty isn’t even funny anymore.

dewale2k:
I sent my OND yabatech /HND kaduna poly transcript for evaluation through my schools to WES, and my report analysis got completed march. I noticed my OND from yabatech was not included in the report.

These are what I think you can do :
1. Make research on universities in need of postdoc in your line of study ( extend your search beyond Canada. Look into Europe, Uk and US).

2. You need to contact professor(s) in your field.
3. Make sure you have a good research profile (the most important factor) plus publications in reputable journals.
4. Try to have some academic mentors in your field on LinkedIn, this helps a lot.

PS: In all ask for favor from God. The above are what I know can atleast land you postdoc offer among other things. All the best smiley

Lagoscooldude:
can you shed more light on this please? My wife has a PhD and we've been researching on how to get postdoctoral opportunities but we haven't seen

most genuine offer lies in post-doc positions, if you have a PhD with good research profile coupled with some publications you stand a chance.

adeshna:
Anyone aware of some job offers in Canada that gives 2 years visa, and said its renewable?

Though, genuine, how easy is it to renew or use as an advantage to get PR?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Eraytee: 4:58pm On Feb 13, 2021
Its well with this draw, and its safe to say almost if not all CEC in the pool got ITA with that cutoff 75 shocked shocked, FSW draw will take a longer time to occur with this new draw. My advice to all is continue to be ready for the opportunity ahead and go on improving your personal life. we'll win this battle only if we dont call it quit!!!. Happy weekend e-fam wink
