Hello @JMG12 @zubizareta I just hope the VOs are not using current rate to judge applications submitted last year? this particular issue is so unclear. I hope there's a way they get the equivalent of POF at submission date. when I submitted my spouse application we had excess of over 18kCAD base on the exchange rate at that time. the situation is not same again... please what about a scenario where you did upfront medical which has been passed and you now have eligibility in progress and background check in progress (in progress since submission).. is there any positivity to be deducted from this? Predator188: |

if your program of study is not MSc or PhD, dont submit a study permit application without an attestation letter, else they will return it back to you. contact Seneca college on how you can go about the attestation letter AfroBeatDiary: 1 Like |

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 5:58am On Feb 17 |
you don't, have to be worried about the present exchange rate, once your POF at the time of submission is enough, then all is fine. I made similar inquiry about my spouse application and @JMG12 responded with this same response. I wanted to raise a webform initially till I got the advice here not to worry about it. so be calm CarpricornPratt: |

Good day everyone, Please I need your input on this, my spouse study permit application is in process and we want to submit an updated POF even though we weren't asked for it, we are doing this because of the way the value of naira is depreciating, I hope we are not doing over sabi or should we just wait for them to ask for it? |

Dont fall for it, its a scam, I have seen a genuine offer letter for a post-doc position in a university in Canada before, this your offer letter is no where near what i saw. Do you have a LMIA code? dont forfeit your work biko. this life no easy already, dont make it worse for yourself by falling for this. Be careful!!! HOMA777: |

there was rumor sometimes ago about the immigration minister, that he's going to make an announcement and it has to do with some major changes as regards express entry... we are still waiting for that, a lot have lost points on age, leaving learning French as second language as the only way to remain competitive. they are meeting up with their targets for immigration anyways so they are not in hurry to resume EE draw (covid19 effect). we can only keep the faith alive nobody forced us to this temmitats: 1 Like |

These are what I think you can do : 1. Make research on universities in need of postdoc in your line of study ( extend your search beyond Canada. Look into Europe, Uk and US). 2. You need to contact professor(s) in your field. 3. Make sure you have a good research profile (the most important factor) plus publications in reputable journals. 4. Try to have some academic mentors in your field on LinkedIn, this helps a lot. PS: In all ask for favor from God. The above are what I know can atleast land you postdoc offer among other things. All the best Lagoscooldude: 1 Like |

most genuine offer lies in post-doc positions, if you have a PhD with good research profile coupled with some publications you stand a chance. adeshna: |

Its well with this draw, and its safe to say almost if not all CEC in the pool got ITA with that cutoff 75 , FSW draw will take a longer time to occur with this new draw. My advice to all is continue to be ready for the opportunity ahead and go on improving your personal life. we'll win this battle only if we dont call it quit!!!. Happy weekend e-fam 7 Likes |
