This is how Conestoga college moves with their admission and PAL, not a general thing.

ibcircuit:

Is this only applicable to Conestoga or to some other schools including university diploma ?

Because i can see some people are receiving their PAL from other schools after having paid deposit only.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 1:20am On May 03
No you don't need to book appointment and YES you will be required to pay 15500 naira for courier service.

shinaxurdick:

And am i still going to pay because i did my biometric at that same centre.

Congratulations to you, Don’t stress yourself, just go to VFS and use courier, you will be required to pay 15500 naira. Your passport will be ready in less than 5 business working days. My spouse did this last week and all is set.

Thanks a lot for this clarification

Apply together with your child using Old Portal, not the new Ircc portal. The new portal accommodate one applicant, while the old portal should be used if someone have defendant(s)

Hello my people, please can anyone clarify this for me? someone told me that if you want to apply for Canada VV with your child (a minor), the application is done separately and not together. I have zero experience with visitor visa but I was thinking a child who is a minor should be under your own application (Principal applicant) not the aforementioned. If you have applied for VV with your child or have a knowledge about this, please kindly clarify this for me. thank you

thanks a lot, You are right no 2 application is same. your advice is valid and true.

JustMellow:

Hello Eraytee,

Congratulations on your spouse's approval. As a contribution to SimiMaya's question, the advice JMG12 gave is valid. You and JMG12 are not wrong. What to note is that there is no two application and each applicant's situation isn't the same and each officer applies discretion differently when reviewing applicants' financial situations. A lot of cases supporting both JMG12 and your view have been witnessed on this thread and outside before, which turned out positive and/or negative. It will be very wise if SimiMaya include a personal account if it is sufficient and if the spouse's POF has scanty inflows that doesn't accumulates to a historical bank balance.

One Love!

To make it simpler, let your dad show some sales of asset to justify that lump sum. Its easier to prove ties with your Dad which is also a direct sponsor, if you do the above, he doesn't need to show a lengthy SOA, then he can actually transfer that lump sum to you and do a gift deed explaining his support for your study. by doing this too you don't have to show too much of your SOA because the focus is on the lump sum that you will explain fully in your LOE. this should go well if the available fund covers your tuition and living expenses.

Daaaz0409:
Thank you very much for the response, the reason he wants to transfer to my dad is because he’s technically a family friend so I’m thinking proving ties and why he wants to sponsor me might be tricky

Yes he has to pay the full semester to get PAL, this is the new development.

shabazz1776:
Good day every one pls I need help , my brother received his attention letter request form today from Conestoga college and in the form it’s stated if he has paid his full first semester tuition , he only made the tuition deposit of $1500. I would like to know if he has to pay his full semester tuition before he can get his attestation letter? Thank you

Actually there's no problem with submitting your application without your account, I am the sponsor of my spouse too and we didnt show any account statement from her, we only showed her employment letter, reference letter from employer, study leave letter, and pay slip for 6 months. all you need is to show the source of the accumulated funds from your spouse and you'll be fine. my spouse application was approved few days ago. your spouse is actually a direct sponsor.

SimiMaya:
Thank you so much

The problem is that I took a loan from my office for PoF but routed it through my husband’s company cz he needed it for his own PoF. The company then paid into his account. I am worried that if I use my account, it would show that its the same money going round.

I was also asking if my company needs to sign the letters in wet ink too.

JMG12:
You can schedule an upfront medical without an IME number. Send them an email
Don't submit your application without your account, your hubby should send the funds to your account.
yes, you can sign electronically for those that require it while others you validate the form.

Thank you, there is no need to liquidate the assets, our case was different because the application took so long and I feel the VO needed to confirm if the funds were readily available, the reason for the request. so if what you are showing as POF as at submission covers your living expenses and tuition, there's no need to liquidate any investment.

NicoleThelma:
Congratulations!! May God’s name be praised!

Please I would like to ask if it was really necessary to liquidate your assets.
My sponsor has like quarter of the money for living expenses in his naira account and also dollar account(we’ve already paid 50% of the fees) . But he has some assets like treasury bills, bonds, huge pension and also tenancy agreements to prove that he gets incomes monthly from being landlords in different places.

Is this enough to prove the fund? As he’s not willing to start liquidating his assets but he’s willing to share all these certificate of assets with me. The sponsor is my father btw.
God bless you as you respond.

PPR gist

Let me start by giving God all the glory, thanks to everyone here. Special thanks to @JMG12 for always responding to my inquiry here. I am the one that put everything together for my spouse application.

We submitted the application on the 19th December 2023, upfront medical done on 17th February 2024, medical passed on 27th February. We got request for statement of earning via MBS on the 11th April 2024.

We invested our POF after submitting the application. We liquidated the investment immediately after we got the request and we submitted MBS on the 17th April.

PPR came in today 23rd April (exactly 18 weeks). Thank you all , I wish everyone expecting PPR success in the remaining part of the application, it will come through.

NB: ppr is a birthday gift for me and spouse exactly a week to our birthdays grin (30th April and 1st May respectively). God did it!!!

Yes she submitted it initially and they requested for it again.

Yes you have to show the amount that covers your tuition and living expenses in whatever account you are using.

Daaaz0409:
your spouse was asked to resubmit her statement of account 17 weeks after she initially submitted it the first time in her application?

And secondly, if my sibling in Canada is serving as my sponsor, does he need to have the total money needed in his available balance?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 2:49am On Apr 22
Answers;

1. it is advisable to let the money remain in your account until decision is made, recently my spouse got a request as regards this to submit SOA after 17weeks+ of submitting the study permit application. so its either u invest your POF or let it be in the account you never know what would come up from VOs.
2. yes of course and that will largely depend on their earnings capacity.

Daaaz0409:
Hello house please I have 2 questions regarding study permit application
1. Does the tuition and living expenses you show on your bank statement that you submit need to remain in the account till visa is granted?

2. If you have a sibling in Canada that’s a permanent resident and works full time can they serve as your sponsor? And how does that work if it’s possible

Hello house, Please this is URGENT, IRCC requested an additional document and the instruction was to use IRCC secure account to send the document. There’s no placeholder where to attach document when you login via GCkey. Is webform the secure account refered to or how do we upload this additional document based on the instruction given?

Yes, your resumption date has nothing to do with the decision time frame.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Eraytee: 2:05pm On Apr 10
Thanks 🙏🏽,I will request for gcms

Bobomaigida:

Yes you have to so that the validity of the SP will cover the lenght of the new start date.
16 weeks is a long time though. Request for your GCMS notes to just to see what has been done on the application.

Thanks for your response @JMG12, yes I raised webform few weeks back which was acknowledged, after a week of acknowledgment we saw update on tracker on 3rd April. My confusion now is, is it possible for SP application to be approved even when program have commenced?

JMG12:
No, you don't need to, have you raised webform? POE you will show the updated LOA

Hello everyone, please I need a clarification on this, I want to defer my spouse admission to September 2024 as application is now 16weeks after submission.. last update on tracker shows 3rd of April, school resumes first week of May 2024. If new offer letter is issued do we need to inform IRCC about the new start date?
