This raises a number of questions, viz: did the recipients undergo any eye tests with a view to determining the type and strength of glasses needed? Do the recipients require, for example, cataract surgeries rather wearing medicated eye lenses? The Ekiti people used to be the most educated and learned of the Yorubas. Today, news emerging from that neck of the woods demonstrate the triumphs of illiteracy over literacy, ignorance over awareness and benightedness and cluelessness over enlightenment. This is precisely what happens when generations are denied solid education but avail themselves of shoddy education such as are provided in the so called state and private universities; they become certificated uneducated, benefiting from so called dividends of democracy that would come back to hunt them. Over time, when someone inappropriately wears unsuitable medicated eye glasses, their eye lenses become irreparably damaged. Good luck. Time would tell. |
These days, soldiers in the Nigerian Army only need to fight lost battles against local militia rebels like Boko Haram and MEND before being decorated wit high military ranks. Conversely, US and British army personnel frequently go 'on tours' and engage in some of the most dangerous warfare of our time only to be decorated not with senior military ranks but with coveted military badges whilst remaining Corporals, Sergeants, etc. What a BIG shame! |
Rewarding mediocrity, compensating tribalism and nepotism. |
If I've ever doubted the reality that Nigeria has in deed become a banana republic where lawlessness trumps orderliness and human's inhumanity to fellow humans is wittingly or unwittingly upheld as sacrosanct, here is a classic case study. This incident leaves many questions unanswered not only in respect of how this fellow got trapped into the wall but also with regards to what, if anything at all, the police has done to unravel the 'mystery.' In sane climes, the first step one would imagine is to wash and shower, clothe and feed this boy to protect his human dignity. Then, an investigation would be promptly launched to unravel the mystery. Besides, where are the religious institutions in Ondo? Would Jesus say to all church leaders in Ondo and milieu, "For I was naked and you clothed me; I was hungry you fed me; I was homeless and you housed me"? Shame on Muslims in Ondo. Zakat, or charity, is the Third Pillar of Islam. You all seem to have forgotten your prophet said "the upper hand is better than the lower hand", meaning he who gives is better than him who takes. It's not a question of being religious or nonreligious but a matter of human's inhumanity to fellow humans. I hope the state and private individuals would stand up and be seen to restore this fellow's human dignity for posterity. |
These so called men of God (setting up churches as businesses and conferring titles on themselves to command respect from the ignoramuses) as well as quack architects and engineers (many of whom are simply draughtsmen parading themselves otherwise) should be prosecuted and, if found guilty, imprisoned. Nigerians should wisen up. Organised religious institutions are frauds by their nature. Stop deceiving yourselves and avoid being deceived. Do something else with your lives rather than slavishly following religions and those perpetuating unverifiable religious truth-claims. |
This is what happens when a country utterly fails to enculture and acculturate its citizenry into its traditional norms and mores. Nigeria is irreversibly doomed. On an aside, given the current economic climate of Nigeria, men and women who cannot afford to maintain their offsprings should use contraception and prevent bringing to life children they cannot cater for. Have a relationship, enjoy good sex but stop procreating if you can't meet the financial wherewithal requisite for nurturing children in a loving and caring home. |
What happened to freedom of Religion? Is Nigeria still a secular state? That country is irreversibly doomed! |
Do we really to know this? I know smart guys and gals who graduated with first and masters with distinction before bagging their PhD and made no noise about it. Is he the first to earn MSc from their village and state? |
Absolute madness. Why? 1. Waste of fuel and resources. 2. Environmental pollution through littering and flying the helicopter. 3. Uncreative method of information dissemination in peacetime. |
When would imbeciles across mamaland realise that many of the purported conversions and miracles are staged-managed. |

That is the University which ostensibly awarded GEJ a PhD but doesn't make the PhD thesis accessible on demand. SHAME! Secondly, is the GEJ who had no shoes now living in opulence whilst his kinsmen are living in abject poverty. The likes of Olabisi Onabanjo and Adekunle Ajasin no longer exist. |
I neither love nor loathe Atiku. However, I suppose the other valid question one needs to ask here is "when last was Atiku in the USA"? If he's got a criminal case to answer there, he would be whisked away the very moment he steps in there. If he's avoiding trips to USA or other countries that USA has extradition pacts with, it seems plausible to suggest that he's got a case to answer for there. |

melodyogonna:Abi oo. Can you see how daft some people are. SHOCKING. |
TB Joshua is nothing but a FRAUD. That so many still fall for his SPIN and FARCE is a direct consequence of poverty which itself stems from misrule of Nigeria and the plundering of its wealth which meant that people are not only unenlightened (in spite of racking certificates from shoddy institutions) but also lack critical thinking and rational autonomy. Very shameful. |
I carefully read what Atiku reportedly said. Whilst I neither love nor loathe him, I totally agree with everything he reportedly said. Most Nigerian university graduates are certificated but uneducated. To cite an example, the other day, the HOD of English at Uni Ilorin, one Dr Idiagbon, responded in a video recording to allegations of sexual misconduct. It's hard to believe that guy was HOD English. Besides, many Nigerian university graduates lack critical thinking and logical reasoning. I've written here in the past about shoddy publications of Nigerian university lecturers and professors - the quality is simply abysmal. |
What a classic case of the trickster becoming tricked. Naija I hail una. |
In spite of all they have brazenly misappropriated, why won't these ex-presidents should be magnanimous enough to forgo this allawee. |
Another evidence Nigeria is doomed. The level of lawlessness in that country is only comparable to ISIS occupied territories in Syria and Iraq. |
ScienceWatch:Shame on you for trying to perpetuate or peddle a bogus and fantastically cooked up testimony that cannot be independently and empirically verified to be true. Not surprised you fell for the scam. |
This guy ought to know he is a highly discredited ex president who voice doesn't count. |
Anyone who still follows this guy after this glaring and outright FALSE PROPHECY is a BIG FOOL. |
WOW! Truly shocking! Buried someone murdered without a post mortem to confirm cause of death and with the authorisation of the law enforcement agents? One of the reasons I shredded my Nigerian passport. Nigeria is truly a banana republic. SHAME!!! |
ScienceWatch:Where is Jesu Oyingbo today? In the 70s and 80s, he did exactly what this idiot is now doing. What nonsensical miracles that Nigerian dilapidated hospitals can't resolve are you referring to? |
The emergence of Donald Trump and the massive support he had which culminated in his emergence as the President-Elect of the USA has left me with two questions, amongst others, vis-a-vis: 1) Can a 'Nigerian Trump' emerge and challenge the political status quo? 2) Will such a person be massively supported all the way through to Aso Rock? Please share your thoughts!!! |
LOOK AT THIS HARAMBE. |
babazako:WHAT SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS DID YOU HAVE WHILST IN SCHOOL IF YOU ATTENDED ONE? |
This guy is a complete illiterate who cannot express himself in very simple English. Yet, he is deceiving the so called educated ones in their millions. That he is clearly spewing a pack of lies in this video should have opened the eyes of those he's preying upon. In deed, people look, but not perceive, they listen, but not understand. What a bunch of morons. Bishop Kukah rightly maintained that "the smartest students pass with First Class and get admissions to Medical and Engineering schools. The 2nd Class students get MBAs and LLBs to manage the First Class students. The 3rd Class students enter Politics and rule both the 1st and 2nd Class students. The Failures enter the Underworld of crime and control the politicians and the businesses. And, best of all, those who did not attend school become Prophets and Imams and everyone follows them...." Isn't Nigeria doomed, already? USE YOUR BRAINS AND STOP FOLLOWING THESE FAKE PROPHETS |
vislabraye:Very accurate. |
BreezyCB:What has this got to do with this thread. This smacks of dump student who totally goes off on a tangent in class, thereby derailing and disrupting a coherent thought flow. |
FAKE PROPHET, PROPHESYING LIES. I DON'T BLAME HIM, I BLAME THE IDIOTS FOLLOWING HIM. |
