ALL THE SHIT U SEE HAPPENING NOW, ARE EVERYDAY GETTING WORST NOT BETTER.
FROM THEN TILL NOW, HAS ANYTHING CHANGED?
HAS IT IMPROVED?
U EITEHR INVEST IN NIGERIA TO DEVELOP IT OR YOU LEAVE IT TO RETURN BACK TO FACTORY SETTING FULL OF BUSH.
No sir, I am not deing, mayb U are,I am cooling down in Charlie country and has been doing so since 2000.anytime I come to Nigeria we live like the thieving politicians, U gerrit? if u dnt gerrit 4get aboutrit!!!!
waternogetememy: THE FRENCH REVOLUTION HAPPENED BECAUSE THE FRENCH ACCEPTED SUBJUGATION IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY?
ALL THOSE COUNTRY YOU ADMIRE, DOWN TO CHINA MAO REVOLUTION HAD PEOPLE MOVEMENT THAT CREATED THE PROSPERITY THEY ALL ENJOY AND DENY YOUR LAZY IMMIGRANT ASS.
Continue. We dont need fight in Nigeria, everyone just need to hustle hard so you do not left behind think some people in Nigeria give a damn of anything in Nigeria, when its hot they just pack their families and relocate to another part of the world that is calm. why your lazy immigration ass get left to deal with the flow chart of shyte.
THOSE PLACES U ARE RUNNING TO, THEY FOUGHT AND DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY SO EVERYBODY CAN BE BETTER OFF.
WHICH IS WHY U HAVE NO RIGHT THERE TO WORK OR LIVE.
By the way waht you said here is stupid, cos these people here came to Africa to get all our wealth and returned it to the Uk even now they are still earning from it.War these days are by proxy.Even the so called Army are fighting for thier pocket not Nigeria
INSTEAD OF CALLING UK MISERABLE, NIGERIANS SHOULD FIGHT FOR WHAT IS GOOD.
THEY SHOULD FIGHT FOR WHAT BELONGS TO THEM. (NIGERIA).
Fight for Nigeria does not always involve physical fight, sometimes it involves you traveling abroad to look for greener land to better your life and that of your generation!Almost them lot that lead you today i n Nigeria have their linage abroad schooling or a citizen of the west. They made their initial monies abroad and return to Nigeria to now rule you lots.
CoronaVirusPro: You know why I detest most Nigerians abroad. You always hide reality and sell fictions to people back home irrespective of their condition and present status.
I am a good advocate of Japa on terms, not selling same script for everyone. Many have been led astray by that doctrine.
What is reality and what is fiction as regards japa ?
So me people came to the Uk vis Sponsorship, meaning they had Jobs b4 the got to the Uk, some came via dependant route, which means they are legal as they touch down. Some are kids and parents of settled persons so no issue etc

Zackattack: Try talk like someone who has a property that is renting for 1.2m/month na. Your Mrs car doesn't consume N110/month in Nigeria.
sometimes I wonder the kind of people we share Nigeria with. The kind of stuff that comes off yah head makes one wonder, see how dismissive you sound. An MPV with a 3.3 litre Engine (Sienna) Approx 75 litres on the Tank. She fills up average 3 times i n a month and you think N110k is too much, then what are you going to say about my own car that cost nearly N100k to fill the Tank?Guy see, nor be everybody for nairaland the struggle!
Glimpsetv: Without wasting much time, I was traveling and needed to leave home early. I arrived at the place where I would catch my second bus to the next station as early as 8:45 am, just a few minutes before 9 am. I decided to get something to eat. I am not a fan of roadside food or snacks, so I just needed a place to get something light and then get back to the park to catch a bus.
I finally found a small but neat eatery and went in to see what it offered. I noticed the food on display didn't look fresh, and I didn't want to risk eating microwaved leftover food. However, the snacks and chicken smelled nice and fresh. So, I immediately opted for a donut, chicken, and a bottle of water.
Yeah, my sense of smell didn't betray me; even my taste buds confirmed it.
My only shock was that the one donut and piece of chicken I ordered came with a whopping 4 pieces of toothpicks. I tried to figure out how much of the N1,700 went for the toothpicks, but I couldn't. Yeah, the meal was okay, and I think it was worth the price even though the chicken and donut were kind of small in size. I ended up having more toothpicks than the meal itself.
Well, I made sure to eat every bit of the donut, leaving no crumbs behind, except for the sugar sprinkled on the donut that I dusted onto the plate.
As for the chicken, hmmm, I chewed everything except just a few tiny bones left behind. I finished my bottle of water too. However, the toothpicks and the serviette paper were spared. Lol, do you think I spent my N1,700 well?
Donaldoni: Which category do you belong? That is what matters. If you are the non-working category, you lose all your independence as a human being.
Like what do you lose? If I dnt work I get free Health care Pay from government Housing Depends on why I don't work might have a car from govt xtra help
Donaldoni: But you admitted it's already deducted from you salary upfront - health insurance.
Haba!
I surprised you want to have this conversation without even bothering to know how the Uk system works, Well since you failed to at least have a read let me help you. There are two groups of people in the Uk, those that work and those who do not work. Now those who do not work get free housing and money from government so do not pay anything as a matter of fact the get more from government. So If 4 some reason I'm not working, I will have free house from government and get universal credit. This is why someone who is illegal in the Uk can walk into AnE and get treated. In the USA this was what Obama changed into called Obama care. Cos he realised teh vast majority of people who cannot afford health insurance were blacks.
Government hospitals are the most patronised in the country these days.
When I did my hernia operation, it was in a general hospital. The bill was less than 10k.
Government hospital is where you have the specialists.
All most private hospitals attend to is first aid issues, malaria and typhoid treatment, cholera treatment and other sundry ailments as well as basic maternity issues including CS.
Thats Op will be free in the UK,infact the after care plus medication even Ambulance transfer are all Free.
Donaldoni: If you are registered with an HMO, you won't pay anything.
If you go to a government hospital, you only pay for drugs .
When my wife put to bed in a government health center, it was the nurse on duty that obtained 2k from us. That's all. We were given a list of things needed beforehand and we brought them.
Brother stop this talk nah, its being ignorant. Have you not seen people dies on the road from bleeding? DO you have anyone to call to your home get burnt and your person got burnt? If you have common appendix, do you have anywhere or anyone to call for such simple Operation? If not for private hospitals in Nigeria, do you know how many persons would have gone 6ft bellow by now.in the uk U call the ambulance and they are there even b4 you look at the window sometimes. Beg stop.Nigeria wey be say ordinary check up you get charged.
Donaldoni: Why then did you make it seem as if the health care is completely free when you actually pay for the insurance
We have health insurance here too.
Tax for rain that flowed from your roof to the gutter is optional
We call it free cos people who do not pay still get it.Now the money you pay is next to nothing for the service you get, imagine getting hip replacement and double bypass on the NHS for free. People who do not work get treated for free and get medication for free
Don't you pay other taxes like TV, radio, rains dropping from your ceiling to the drains etc etc
With fufu being over 1 pound, how can you be spending just 250 pounds on feeding a month
What of the personal income tax itself
its Beter 4 you to speak to people close to you who live abroad to give you the true reflection of the Uk so you don't go assuming Moreso you do not go embarrassing yourself in real life speaking like this. People pay National insurance from their salary a form of tax and payee tax plus pension. Then TV tax. Every other tax is optional.
Donaldoni: How can people who dare not leave their lights on be happy to use the washing machine
Using machine here can be stressful especially if the cloths are much like ours.
@bolded Around 25k(could be more) including PMS and gas
In NIgeria as we speak, no one leaves their lights on anymore if not in use when they are o n Prepaid. If you are on prepaid and have uninterrupted electricity, vast majority of low-income earners won't be able to top up their electric.
komzy589: Na to convert una sabi 😁 Ok convert this! 12 wraps of fufu in Nigeria cost 1000naira. I saw a video of price tag on 3 wraps of fufu in a mall, £18. So 0.5% of my monthly salary will get me 12wraps of fufu. 0.5% of £2k will get you at least 1 wrap of fufu. This☝️ is why you should stop those silly conversations. Money is just a piece of paper; a social construct, and the only reason that it has value is because the society has agreed for it to have value. The most important thing is what it can do for you.
Now you have no educative argument and now delve into back room bants! I think we tend to hit a nerve when we said N200k is shyte money,Im sorry if your dream JOB is N200k, but the reality on ground is simple N200k is a struggling pay there is no bright light ahead unless you upgrade yourself. N200k.Embarassing .
Knelsoon: 3bedroom with no good road, no electricity, no good healthcare... abeg if you're earning 200k montky how long will it take that person to save 3.2m for solar solution, help me calculate.
With £2k monthly, the individual gets woaroujd £1500 after tax, the person is covered under the govts helathcare, helicopter fit pick you if you're on the verge of crossing to the other side. With your 200k you go die inside gutter in 9ja, even if you're able to reach hospital.. na another story. Pls forget this debate. It is incomparable.
komzy589: Firstly, your estimation is bias and out of contest. We are using my cousins £128 bill as the case study from the beginning of our convo. His apartment is a studio one and doesn’t boost all those electrical appliances you mentioned up there. If my 200k cannot afford your 120k apartment in PH, your £2k will be like a flea on the back of an elephant at Chestham Place in central London.
your cosine uses £120 a month of Electricity on a studio flat, False I say false what does he uses in there? 3 light bulbs,1 washing machine of 2 hrs circle per week.SO what about gas?. My Electric bill for a month if the family are about on my 3 bed house is £150-£190 and if they are not about its about£110 to £120 N200k should be compared to £400 per month simply put if there is comparism at all
komzy589: I’m sorry, it will cost you less than half of what you quoted there. I just supervised the installation of a 3.5kva solar solution, total cost is N3.2m. This will serve you a minimum of 3years before servicing. Servicing will definitely not cost more than half the installation price. We’re all scholars here. You don’t have to exaggerate to make your point. Someone earning £2k is not bigger than a 200k salary earner in Naija. They are only making more money for circulation than their Naija counterparts.
I was looking at the photo of the set up you posted it has two Lithium batteries, what is the capacity of o ne? cos last I check Feb this year when I was in 9ja it cost nearly N2.5m for one and I would need 2.
My brother we pray ohh, I feel so sorry for guys in 9ja cos I really do not know how they survive. Kudos to those who do, the going rent in my area is actually N1.5m I reduced mine to N1.2m cos of hardship to others. God nor go shame us. My Mrs fuel consumption on her car is N110/month and this guy is talking 200K even N500k now you are poor.
komzy589: Guy you do debate for school so?🤣 You’re just shooting yourself at the foot by converting your earnings to naira. The topic is that A person earning £2k a month is not better than a N200k earner in Nigeria. Your £2k monthly salary cannot afford my 3bedroom apartment. And my salary is N200k. Check am!
So of all I wrote about solar power you could no do the maths to calculate how much I will spend on installing a solar system in my house even when you replied specifically to the Energy needs post I made to a near estimation of N8m? With your N200k you cannot afford to live in any of my "2bed flat in PHC reason is that I let it out for N1.2m which comes to N120k a month then you got N80K left, So what quality of life can you possibly have or live with N80K netYou wanna tell us?

You say I am exaggerating, do you lot know how will feel when you keep talking about this pocket money called N200k? Its Embarrassing to say the least. This is less than a days 12 hour shift if you earn £10/hr.in London ro0ms still cost £600/month N200k ahaha £110 lol That's not even 10% of what we spending at the Lounge tonight Damnmmm
