PrinceOfLagos:Abiola was so loved by Nigerians. You'd never hear bad words from his mouth. Unlike Emilokan that talks as if he's drunk most times E.g, Eleyii O lulę Labour till death, etc |
Juleeee:thanks for the correction |
theamazonguru:We're into Hazardous Mgt cum Healthcare in the Oil and Gas sector. Its my uncle who's into power systems |
Na wah. We used to know her as a spa shop owner. I doubt if she knows her way to her spa shop anymore. She's now a shepopotamus |
Baba hasn't changed much |
PureMe01:Onaiyekan is yoruba from kogi. Dont mind them. They've called me worse names but i dont care. Onaiyekan literally means ( the one who's next to toe the path of salvation) the full meaning is ęni ona iye kan. |
Tell them sir. Its an attempt by some power-drunk fellows to underestimate the Christian faith in Nigeria. Once such a heinous arrangement like this is downplayed by those propelling it, it shows further how desperate such individuals could be. Each time you challenge them, they take a swipe at you and be citing 1993 experience. They pretend to have forgotten the fact that, the circumstances surrounding that choice by both Christians and Muslims that time had warranted such an arrangement...(we wanted the military to leave at all cost), not as if Nigerians liked the idea per se. Secondly, because of MKO's persona, we believed his candidacy wouldn't snowball Nigeria into religious crisis. MKO was a man of the people and a passionate being per excellence. Does it mean there are no Christians in the north who are credible? Who told tinubu or apc that , had they chosen or picked a Christian running mate, the apc would lose? Had the apc governed well in the last 7 years, would there have been any need to fear of losing? North isn't foolish. The learned among them are the ones mocking same faith choice right now. They know the decision was arrived at, out of desperation and against the wish of the people. Those supportive of this evil are just like those preaching it. There's an iman who leads prayers in a mosque close to my area here in Lagos. He openly condemned it. His house is next to mine and he's not a poor man. He said he'd not be a party to it. Anyone can google the reactions of imams in the north as well. There's always a problem when you go against the wish of the people just to satisfy your selfish ambition. Gone are the days when money would dictate who wins in any election. Our world is changing. Any forward-thinking Nigerian shouldn't vote along religious and ethnic lines. You see the light but chose to toe the path of darkness cos of sentiments. How would that improve your life or the country in all aspects as voters? Since 1999, I've been voting based on choice and not on religion or sentiments. I voted falae in 1999, OBJ in 2003, Yaradua ( the president Nigeria never had) in 2007, Jonathan in 2011, Buhari in 2015, atiku in 2019 and next year by God's grace, I'd vote obi. None of those I voted in the past chose same faith partner. Even Buhari who tried it in 1980s had learnt his lesson. He was removed unceremoniously. Even abacha as daring and wicked as he was, didn't toe that path. I wish all the candidate good luck. We shall meet at the poll. God bless Nigeria. |
maxwell530:No! That's not my point. At least she had never had sex before being a virgin. Sex is one of the common ways of contracting it. One can contract it through other means as well. Like bodily fluids sharing et al. At least, it takes 2 weeks depending on body's immunity to detect it in the body. They're always together attending programmes but not staying together. Marriage counselling had been going on for 3 months. To a great extent, they didn't believe the result. They also wanted to go elsewhere to do the test but the church said they'd not reckon with the result. I just briefed the story. It was a serious drama. |
ultimatebas:There's always a first time to everything. Before Nigeria broke the jinx, no African had defeated either Brazil or Argentina. Oh my! Where's Nigeria's glory |
rickpat:This is a good point but in some cases, human error does occur. A similar topic surfaced here last week in which i shared my wife's experience. The nurse who took delivery of our son almost swapped him with another baby born by wrongly placing their hand bands. Thank God my wife was able to recognise the one she brought from home by the colour. She quickly reacted as she was looking at the woman from her bed in the hospital. Both babies were born almost same hour. That said, I had a friend who wanted to get married. As a tradition, their church would send the would-be couples to a recommended lab for series of tests, including hiv. On getting there, the result revealed that his wife-to-be tested positive to HIV virus whereas, this lady was a virgin. That alone calmed both of them. They rejected the result. This happened in Akure around 2005. The lab now said, they'd get back to them as they'd need to find out where fault emanated from. They couldn't go elsewhere cos the church trusted and recognised only the results from that lab. A long story cut short, my guy continued with his wedding plans. As pastor, he was well known in town so he was busy sharing invites. A few days to the wedding, the lab called them and said they discovered the reagent used had expired so, they should come for another test which came out negative. They later apologised for their mistake. He learnt they later called all those they had used the same reagent for, to come back and re-do their tests. What if some of them had committed suicide or split on hearing of the false report? This DNA of a thing is very good but the margin of error would always be a factor to ponder on. If you must do a DNA test, don't rely on one centre. Though costly, you must be prepared to make the sacrifice since you are looking for the truth..my advice. |
Ask urchins, OP. They're the worst liars and pretenders in the universe |
sailor1234:I'm so happy for you bro. More wins! Every nation has got their own challenges. Each time I hear of gun violence over there, my heart beats so fast. There was a day i was coming from new Jersey, going to new York port authority area to catch a train. There was this bridge which collapsed a few miles away. See cars dropping. It was a weird moment. If it were to be in Nigeria, you guys would probably have been mocking us. In 2018, I went for a training in CA. On arrival at Tom Bradely Airport, an aircraft crashed near a building...a private jet or so, killing everyone on board including some people in their homes nearby as it went down in flames, you see! I've been to more than half of the states in US cos I love moving around each time I visit. I see a lot bro. In aurora side of Chicago, guys were shot dead the day before...sometime in 2018 when I visited a friend. They surrounded the spot with a white cloth, flower and a cross. You'd know someone was brought down right there. Our problem back home is self made. I pray we'd get leadership right from next year. A lot of things would be put right. We're here and they've not kidnapped us still lol. Maybe someday, you just think of what to do here. Do your feasibility studies. Security challenges will be over. You can imagine a cousin who left in 2019 getting scared of Nigeria cos of the news of insecurity he's hearing about naija over there as if it wasn't happening before he left here. He's beginning to reason differently. Before I started my business, Indians used to dominate the sector. I wasn't happy. How can an Indian come here with one cloth and return home a few years later as millionaire in dollars? Chinese too. But now, we've taken up to 35% of the market share. We're just 11 years old and we're growing fast. Chinese and Indians keep coming while our people keep running away...there must be something unique about Nigeria which is attracting them....opportunities! Nigeria will be great again and this I've seen. Cheers! |
mediclife1987:I wish tinubu had come out under a different party. Apc will fail a million times |
Urchins will fault it as usual. Even after Obi is declared winner next year, they'd still gather 1m lawyers with heaps of documents to challenge it. They're never satisfied and they hardly accept defeat. Osun is a good example. The major states in the north that will do atiku and Emilokan shege next year are kaduna and plateau where boko haram had wreaked havoc in nearly 12 years of the apc/pdp rule. They'd never make that mistake again. |
Okoroawusa:Obi is the busiest amongst all of them and that's shows how ready and fit he is. He visits a min of 5 major events in different states daily. If time table is revised, its understandable and NOT in the attention of urchins. Its for the Obidients ONLY to note. |
Lol. Election is around the corner again...when they'd start showing us images in 7D . Since 1999, Tinubu had been orchestrating all the propaganda and falsehoods each time election is approaching. Maybe he thinks everyone is mumu. He's been showing us both the 4th mainland bridge and lagos-owned Airport since 1999. Between 1999 and now, small states with low had built their airports without making noise. Shamefully, Tinubu landed in bayelsa airport with his private jet recently. Delta had their own, Anambra had its own, which was started by Peter Obi. We're wiser now |
Na Obi first start this oo, wey Reno, FFK and urchins no gree people rest for twitter. Now others are following. Kwakwanso wasn't left out. Obi will continue to lead while others will be following him behind |
DWJOBScom:This is called campaign after election. Gboyega should save the little he had stolen for his retirement or he tries his luck after 4 years with his running mate |
1Sharon:lol |
Baba ti fan nnkan as usual. So, it's true something don enter this man brain? His behaviour on the Ile Alayo Episodes is a further proof |
shegzhkn:You're right...staying in Nigeria could be a stretch. I drank the garri for 6 months I won't lie . But after 6 months, it became history. Just check out the big and mighty, those shaking the world today, they had it rough at start. Only the courageous can bite the bullet. But I was prepared foe all the challenges. Even my friends were laughing when I told them I was leaving. Today, it's a much different story |
Majesty2:Sarcasm is an old style of pilitics so, its not necessary at thus point. Meanwhile, have you read anything close to the below? An apc member sensitising gullible Nigerians? Read...I just copied it from a WhatsApp group RE- LAGOS STATE STAKEHOLDERS/COMMUNITY SENSITIZATION ON LEARNING PASSPORT: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE FALSEHOOD. The Lagos State Government has come up with their usual Father Xmas approach of giving one free but irrelevant Seminar again that comes up in each Election Year or close to elections. This is the usual decoy that they have been using over the years to smuggle their political agenda and brainwash Private Schools to cajole and make us vote their candidates yet get nothing in the end. All that they wanted to sensitize is your vote; take it or leave it. Unfortunately, I just got this message in Ibadan, Oyo State during NAPPS Nigeria National Conference today, December 2, 2022 at 5.30 a.m, a clear 20 hours after the fake seminar and it pained me to the marrow that l couldn't attend to tell them the Gospel Truth.!!! I just hope that those who attended got the evil plans and did not fall to the trap as usual. Even where they failed to see the blood in their mouth or afraid to call their bluff, we as private school owners are wiser and will not be foolish again to fall for their trap. We have been doing this since 1999 but unfortunately have nothing to show for it except galloping Annual Dues, obnoxious bills and taxes from Lagos State Government , Local Government Area Councils and their Agencies. Enough is enough!!! We are wiser and will not play the fool again especially with our source of lively-hood being chocked with reckless abandon by the unfriendly government in power. I am a Card carrying member of APC but the Yorubas will say "Orisa ti afi ogun odun sin tiko gbeni, ti aba fi sile kole pani". Literarily translated, "A deity that one religiously worshipped and venerated for twenty good years but which cannot save one nor provide one's need, if abandoned cannot kill the worshipper. I have felt that given one more chance in 2019, Lagos State Government under the APC and her progenitors like Action Congress, AC; Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN; etc will change over the years but our collective votes and support is all that matters to them not our survival and prosperity. Many private schools have collapsed and many abandoned just because Lagos State Government is insensitive and at the same time exploitative. Do you remember the overbearing post- COVID activities of Lagos State Ministry of Education that led to the death of the Chairman of Mushin Chapter of NAPPS. Many others have since died silently because of the Marchiavellian approach of Lagos State Government to issues affecting private schools yet they call us Partners in Progress to deceive us. Let Lagos State Government and APC know that we are wiser and cannot be fooled and used again like before. The turning point is NOW. It has shown clearly that their Leopard can NEVER change their color. One thing l know is that it can never be worse under any new dispensation and Party. Fellow Great NAPPS members, it is time to call the bluff of this idiots and tell them that a fool at Forty is the real fool, thank God, we are below 40 and wouldn't want to be in the same steaming water until we get to Forty years to qualify as a fool for ever. Fellow Oppressed School Owners, let us put a stop to this Monkey dey wok, Baboon dey chop syndrome and that's the only time we shall finish our tenure as slaves under an insensitive, obnoxious, uncaring slave drivers with rapacious appetite and ravaging Mongols in Lagos State. The time is now at all levels. Fellow Oppressed School Owners, l will appreciate it if the post is given the widest share. We have nothing to loose but more to gain. This is not acceptable and we should not play the Ostrich when we know that we a only chicken in the hand of these oppressors. Most private schools running school shuttles for their students are groaning in sever pains with the latest hike in petroleum prices from N175 per litre to N300. We pay for all forms of Examinations but there are no results and refund is like trying to squeeze water from the stone. We cannot continue like this and hope that one day a miracle will occur. No oppressor will let go the oppressed except by force and fire This is another Milestone opportunity that will not come until another four years if we are fortunate to still be alive under this barefaced opportunists and oppressors. I remain. Yours in Freedom of Private Education, PRINCE SAKIRU ADESINA RAJI. Member, Board of Trustees, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS Nigeria. |
Majesty2:I know this fact would be hard to believe by some |
sweetTai:Congrats brother and sorry for the ugly experience. Most likely, you left for the States before i did . I left in 2004 for schooling in upstate NY. I used to visit Dallas in TX back then where I had a friend. There's also a course mate who got employed in TX correctional centre the one at Nazareth. He later left cos of distance. I came back after my studies though i worked for a short while. It was while on the job I saw the opportunity and we're doing pretty fine in Nigeria today. I'm really not against the japa thing but my question is, is it worth it and on what purpose? And if you eventually japa, look for opportunities and bring it home. Market over there is saturated while Nigeria is a virgin land of loaded opportunities All the best. |
shegzhkn:We're doing well in my company. I'm an employer too and i put food at the table of my staff. I schooled , worked for a short while and came back home with the opportunity which had brought me into a limelight today. All thanks to God Almighty. My profession had taken me to DAAR Hall in DC where Barak Obama was the host My uncle who encouraged me to toe his path is a multi billionaire today. Google Xantrex Engineering .he's the sole distributor for West Africa. He left America after seeing the opportunity and came back home with it. Only a few banks and online-based companies in West Africa aren't enjoying his service. He saw the opportunity on his way back home one day when returning from Walmart where he was working as a storekeeper and grabbed it |
garfield1:I'm from sw, likewise all those around me supporting obi. I live in lagos. Obi's donors are his supporters nationwide. I'd not be surprised if that sokoto guy who sponsored Obi's billboards also donated. Lemme shock you, there are some apc members in lagos and other places working for Peter obi codedly. Did you watch the video of the experience held in lagos? The young lady who introduced obi is a card carrying member of apc. |
shegzhkn:Yes broda....with my experience and I'm speaking for myself and an uncle who chose to return home |
Which of them is minor pls? Isn't it a blessing in disguise to notice early enough? That's the essence of the electioneering campaigns. He'd Have disgraced Nigerians at international gatherings. We know our candidate Obi may not be right with some statistics at times but he's super intelligent and of a sound mind. Even Obama made mistakes with figures when campaigning as intelligent as he is. I supported Obama back then. David Plouffe did a great job for obama, unlike the likes of comedians and hungry people like FFK and Dino. Most of the statistics Obi gives are impulsive. They're neither crammed nor prepared for, cos he didn't know the journalists minds, neither did the journalists give him scripts to study in advance. That shows he reads and in tune with pertinent and contemporary issues Only obi has been able to tell us how he'd rule Nigeria. Others just want to impoverish us the more and God won't permit them |
NoToPile:They entered America as students but refused to report at school. They shose to be working instead. These are the people very close to me. The husband told the wife his intention, he had nothing to do with the Yankee woman. It was a paid arrangement to adjust their status. A lawyer was involved. The wife too was into it. The husband knows the yankee guy too. No strings attached. They both paid for the service. The couple even works in same company. But after failing interview for the adjustment of status twice, the wife said she's relocating to another state to start a life, all of a sudden. |
timesuploaded:You've said it all. We're better off here. We pay 100% for everything we have. You must be rich to try that over there. I had a neighbour back in the days who completed his mortgage at a fairly old age...something he had been paying for donkey years. A few years after he finished paying, he was retired. Whereas, you can buy a house here outrightly as a young man and live your dream. |
StagethemTVee:There's a couple in similar shoes right now. They married newly and travelled to USA together for studies. They both resigned from their paying Jobs. The wife was earning close to 400k after tax in a bank. On getting to America, their plans changed. They didn't report to school instead, they were working with someone else's Sola-Sola meaning the social security. 4 years down the line, their arrangee wedding they're into, in order to get papers isn't working out. The husband attended 2 interviews with his akata arrangee wife for his green card but none was successful and once this happens, na only miracle remain. The wife too tried but didn't work and time dey go. The wife has been behaving funny lately. She's planning to relocate to another state now, to commence her life independently during which she'd be looking for how to get papers. They've got no kids yet. Nigeria is a much better place. We just need to fix leadership issues. Once we get it right, those in the Diaspora will throng Nigeria. Forget those good looks on WhatsApp and Facebook, nice environment, etc...just ask them for 100usd and they'd either block you or decline to respond to your subsequent requests. It's not so easy as people think. I don live there before during my school days. I always say this so no neef to start the story again. Whoever wishes to go should go and see things. Make sure you look for opportunities and bring it home sharply as most of us did. There's a proverb in yoruba which says, if you tey too long on top shiit, na different species of flies go dey meet you there. Most of those who schooled and graduated over there have now turned agents to their alma mater, advertising their unis to Nigerians for a stipend called commission...Where's the job? |
Letmehelpyou:Just kidding . They always dominate |
