But why didn't they go on that strike? They'd have remained heroes and heroine today after their dismissal...cowards! Always follow your mind, if only it will lead to the liberation of others... |
FERNANDEZISBACK:Yea, on diapers |
juman:Aregbe or Dapo aren't OBJ. Whoever he endorses os what Dapo will approve. He's vert powerful not only as an owu son but in the state. Are you aware he was the one who recommended the current Ooni among the remaining contestants? There are some things better left unsaid in public. I remember Oba Aremu Gbadebo too |

Decla33ation of State of emergency in kaduna is the solution |
yuping:State of emergency is imperative except we're deceiving ourselves. We have a house in Kurminmashi. Down the street is the historic secondary school where almost all the northern elites attended. Kaduna isn't too big to declare a state of emergency, its for the benefit of Nigeria in general and kaduna in particular. We have our military institution in Kaduna, armoury too. That's the same place boko haram attacked and killed an army officer. With the state of emergency , military would neutralize those terrorists by all means and unhindered. Their sponsors too would be nabbed. You may be surprised they're in government claiming innocence. Within 90 days, kaduna wouid enjoy the relative peace it's once known for. My people can't even go back there now. |
inoki247:Are you surprised? All they do now is cover up. When last did you see this man in the media? He knows their party has failed and sai baba song has faded. He thinks we're fools. With all the attacks on civilians by boko haram terrorists in kaduna airport, railway/trains, plateau, Katsina, not to mention Anambra and imo as they don't count the region as part of Nigeria, he's trying to make up a topic to distract Nigerians. Shebi they accused the pdp of lavishing oil money when the country recorded oil boom and crude was sold for 120usd. Its here again and crude is selling even at a higher price per barrel. We shall see what they'd say, just the way they said subsidy was a scam but later made a u turn and still paying subsidy. You should know they're bereft of ideas. What pained me the most is the debt inflicted on the next generation of this country to build railway which is now being vandalised. They concentrated the project in the north instead of spreading it. How would they now recover the invested money? |
Looking good @ 80. Somebody please post the picture of Mr tinubu @ 68, the man whose wife died in 2018 at age 74. I just want to confirm something lol |
yuping:Several times, though by air in recent times |
Akwa Ibom State Government weekend evacuated from Katsina State a total of 34 of her citizens, who were stranded following attacks by bandits and insurgents in some parts of Katsina state. The victims, who arrived Uyo the State capital on Saturday were recieved by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr Ini Adiakpan at the Women Development Centre along IBB Way, Uyo. Addressing newsmen, Adiakpan explained,” The attention of the state government was drawn to a viral video on social media where some displaced Akwa Ibom indigenes in Katsina State were calling for help, because their houses, shops and other sources of livelihood were either vandalised or burnt by bandits “So the state government immediately ordered for their evacuation and safe return to the state. The Governor has made adequate arrangement for them to be recieved. “Relief materials will also be released to them, and we will then begin to reintegrate all of them with members of their families immediately “. One of the returnees, and President of Akwa Ibom Community in Katsina State Chief Effiom Williams, recounted the origin of the incident and how he was able to mobilize the citizens to his house for safety. Williams who is also a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Federal College of Education, Katsina narrated: ” I got a distress call from our members in Batsari, Danja, Dan Musa and other Local Government Areas that their houses, and shops were being attacked. ” I quickly mobilised them into safety in my house. When some of them arrived, they had nothing left because they had lost everything to the crises, so the Community had to raise money in order to get them clothes and other effects. “We later reached out to the state government for assistance. We are very happy that the Governor has intervened “. A survivor and native of Ikono LGA Elizabeth Emmanuel, explained that her shop and home were razed down by the arsonists, who attacked their community at night, killing several people in their sleep. Mrs. Emmanuel who said she resides in Jibia LGA of Katsina State expressed appreciation to the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the timely intervention. “We got back home and started hearing loud shooting at night. And we all started running for our dear lives. All I could take from our house are my children and few clothes. Luckily for us, we were escorted to the IDP camp by soldiers “. Emmanuel further narrated how they were, linked to the President of the Akwa Ibom Community in Katsina by a fellow Akwa Ibomite in the Internally Displaced Person’s (IDPs) camp. Similarly, a shoe cobbler who spoke on ground of anonymity lamented that his source of livelihood was completely destroyed during the attack by bandits, adding that it was by luck he was able to escape with his family to Katsina https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/04/akwa-ibom-evacuates-stranded-citizens-from-katsina-over-bandits-attacks/amp/ |
Tareq1105:You should direct this to Prof Soyinka. I was inside the Nigerian tribune the day Chief Bola Ige was killed. Someone phoned Nigerian tribune and they quickly published it. Go and read the news archive in case you were still young when this happened. I guess you're his relation. Come and pick me up |
Sagay doesn't represent the constitution or judiciary. Those shouldered with the responsibility should do the needful. 1 month minimum is a good one to start with. But I doubt because the national assembly is filled with filts..the same people would never allow this to fly because they want to remain in power perpetually. I remember what senator Adeola did in lagos and ogun states in 2019. He ran to ogun state, his home state to contest governorship race. The moment he lost to Dapo Abodun at the primary, he ran back to lagos to retain his senatorial seat. His character was a proof that the majority of we lagosians in his constituency are fools. Someone like him would always fight for his pocket first before any other thing. We will do the needful, come 2023 here. Enough! |
In 2015 and 2019 respectively, the people of kaduna voted overwhelmingly for Buhari, as they did in Zamfara and Katsina State his home state. These masses who sacrificed themselves to vote him under the harsh weather deserve justice. If buhari truly loves these people and to prove he doesn't know anything about these killings, he should as a matter of urgency declare a state of emergency in the 3 states, to allow the military swing into action and neutralise these terrorists once and for all. The respective state governors should step aside for a period of 90 days...it's not too much to do, to truly prove they love their people whom they givern. The same should be replicated in Imo State. This move doesn't make their party lose any election rather, it will boost the confidence of the electorate in those states and make them believe they have a caring leader and government. We're in a worrisome, precarious situation. What used to be my fear is already happening. Each time i boarded flights in the affected state, everywhere would be dry, no security operatives at sight. I'd be saying to myself, terrorists could have a field day in a situation like this oo, not knowing that kaduna's airport attack was imminent. The attack was more serious than we thought. They just downplayed it as usual. People actually died. They'd have succeeded in downplaying the train attacks too, had the VIPs who were also victims not been on board. It's so ridiculous to be heard of, as a leading nation in Africa. This is what the islamist terrorist terrorists have reduced Nigeria to. The federal government should do the needful before it gets to other volatile states like Imo. This is my opinion. Share your thoughts people. |
Same arewa should ask buhari to declare a state of emergency in kaduna, zamfara and katsina states and allow the military do their job if truly he doesn't know a thing about the killings. |
BigRocky:E no fit. Chief Ige was killed a few days after Iyiola Omisore removed his cap openly. He can't deny killing this man. If Prof syinka had truly fingered obj government in 2004 in the killing , he was right because omisore was in the pdp that time and obj was said to have sent omisore to kill Chief Ige. You see why Nigeria is still where she is today? |
Xscape1993:What omisore was accused of, was small compared to what Jagaban did. Having these people at the helms suggests to me the reason this country is stagnant. What is more appalling is the fact that some people still hail these criminals |
Many have HBP and heart-related issues amongs them due to their reckless lifestyles yet, they still take enhancing drugs to be active. Anyone taking energy drinks Alcohol Alomo bitters and all mummers of bitters Loads of carbonated drinks weekly Hard drugs...etc ... are all potential victims. |
In as much as I'd have preferred that APC picks Umahi as their presidential candidate from the south east, he could end up being an errand boy, should the party win next year's presidential election. |
Parachoko:So you meant Poland didn't refuse to send a jet? |
Parachoko:His comment wasn't about the case of weapons donations to Ukraine per se. Far from it. Did Poland not say they'd not send jets to Ukraine? Did they receive any sanctions to that effect? Didn't US Secretary of State still visit them? Didn't Biden also visit? But Poland still criticised putin for invading Ukraine and condemned the attack The issue is majorly on the refugees fleeing to Hungary for protection. Due to their poor state, they don't want that, even though the EU had pledged to support them. Did you know that this country was reported to have held back black students refugees and detained some of them? Hungary is like that. Wven my visa interview in abuja was a though one, befire it was finally approved. They are not a refugee friendly nation, judging from the past, including when same russua first hit Ukraine in their military neutralisation campaign. I'm not surprised at their leaders comment on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Their antecedents have also shown that they're just not being considerate. During the world war 2, they also were neutral and that's why you still see those 300 years old buildings still standing in Budapest, which are quite rare in some major parts of Europe. Their neutrality was taken for cowardice hence, their poor state as seen today. I wish them good luck in coming days in the hands of the EU |
How relevant is Hungary to the EU? They contribute almost nothing as an Eastern Europe country. I've been there myself, poor people. Their leaders would always support putin cos sanctions are taking its toll on them economically. Should EU drop them today, they wouldn't feel it cos they're a liability to the EU already. His complaints should also have been on the massive refugees from Ukraine in Hungary, which is like a burden to them economically. Meanwhile, he doesn't seem to know what would become of them tomorrow as a country. This criticism of zelensky won't go down well with the EU. I'm awaiting their reactions on this. Hungary begged for EU membership like their whole life depended on it at a time. This is so disappointing. |
