I've been to Switzerland. That country is powerful and if its destroyed today, the entire world would never remain the same again. What's the population of Switzerland compared to that of Nigeria? Good point. I remember a day we were picked up at the airport in Munich by my business partner's driver on arrival. He was driving in an E class benz taxi, latest model that time. I looked at the odo and he was doing 170. I almost vomited my heart that day. I tapped my colleague in his shoulder and showed him the odo, he now said the man should be in control because their road was good. Moreover, he couldn't have tried it with an SUV. Most of those drivers need to undergo intensive training before being deployed to join any VIP aides.

I don't know where those aides are running to. It's not only about Jonathan. This affects all government officials too. I remember a similar case with osinbajo too. Anytime you see them pass, you'd think they're running car race in a competition. They kill civilians in the process and would not even stop to rescue them. We're hearing so much noise now because it's aides that were affected and not civilians. No civilian victim had ever made headlines in this case.

Jonathan should take it easy and warn his people going up and down with him. This isn't the first time.

Having the most intelligent and empowered individuals doesn't even buy respect, having the most intelligent government does. A government that knows how to play its card in economic policies, turn the country around and make it a hub for investment by serious investing in the people and infrastructure will secure respect of any other country. I guess the west hates blacks else they'd have considered Nigeria for their gas dependency instead of going to Russia. Our bonny lite crude was adjudged the best in the world so, why are the west not buying from us as much as they do Russia and other countries of like-colour? I'm sure some people would ignorantly cite corruption but Nigeria wasn't this corrupt as far back as 90s and some western countries were even more corrupt than Nigeria as of then.

2ndly, our soil is more virile for farming than that of Russia. Here we don't always need fertiliser to grow crops especially down south.

My cousin who schooled in Russia and speaks their language like locals had to leave there after his studies . He said there's nothing in that country , no jobs . He left for America instead.

Back to the matter, why have we not received as much patronage as Russia had done from the west on our crude and gas sale? If its construction of gas pipeline that's an issue, glo and mainOne had proved many wrong by channeling their Internet submarine cables from Europe down to Nigeria, which many banks and corporate bodies now depend on. We could have achieved our gas pipeline to Europe through North Africa. I think the west hates us.

Unfortunately, buhari will still disappoint him. Fulani always prefers mumu people in government and that's why they keep shopping for malami,umahi,jonathan, emefiele, etc, those who wouldn't stop them from stealing. I remember in the 80s when our tight border was full of foreigners who wanted to enter Nigeria at all cost. Our currency was soo good. A school principal would buy a new car and build a house from his salary. Those who build houses everywhere now are either politicians who have stolen or yahoo boys. Before any Nigerian in the diaspora would think of building such houses, he must have worked hard for nearly 2 decades, non stop doing legit work. As porous as our borders are today, no foreigner wants to step in except foreign fulanis who would want to assist their brothers fight innocent people. Benin Republic would send their children here for maid jobs in those days because of how strong our naira was. By the time you change 100 naira to cefa, ground go don full but now, one naira is equivalent to one cefa. I was in Cotonou last November. I changed 1,000 naira for 950 cefa. So ridiculous. If you ask our government why, they'd tell you cock and bull stories, that Nigeria was hit by recession, covid-19 also affected our economy, crude prices fell, blablabla. They've forgotten that 99% of the African countries spending cefa don't even have oil or strong foreign earnings and they were also hit by same global recession and covid-19 yet, their cefa has remained strong and stable for years.

There was a similar incident in owerri in February. The lady involved was crying because her ex posted her nude on her Facebook which he had access to. He posted her picture while using her Love Machine. All her friends saw it and started calling her attention to it. She almost committed suicide but I calmed her down. Took her to a serene place talked to her and bought her food and chill stuffs. While we were together, a friend called and said the case had been reported to Facebook and they've pulled down the post and the guy had also been blocked. I never knew face book could act so fast. Instead of scolding her, her friends only warned her to beware those defaming guys out there. Most of them are yahoo guys who think they can get whatever they want and whenever the like.

This girl in question happened to be my friend's sister. I'd have regarded this post as fake but because I knew somebody it happened to, it could be real.

I just confirmed from a former classmate working at GIP( a white Briton). I think you have a point and that doesn't also prove that I was wrong. The GIP status has since changed. He said GIP acquired a major stake in 2009 at an agreed deal for 10 years. Upon expiry in 2019, Vinci now took over with over 50% stake while GIP still retains the remaining 49%. The stake of Vinci could also change upon expiry of agreement. He didn't tell me how long would the ongoing stake last though. I was still dwelling on the old info cos I knew when GIP struck this deal back then. Tnx
