what's wrong with my brothers in the S/E of Anambra lately nah |
jlinkd78:That was the reason yekini of somorika quickly defected to the apc after collecting 40m naira, thinking he could connive with his fellow thieves to impeach the governor and have access to edo funds for election campaigns and weaken obaseki. He didn't seem to understand that obaseki was smarter by impeaching him as deputy speaker. Next time, he wouldn't act a fool. He's now been used and dumped. |
9jatriot:lagos is dirtier now sir. Can't you see? What Ambode achieved in 100 days as governor may not be achieved in 2 years of the tenure of this noise maker. |
Nyanabo:Next time, before you waste your time replying to a comment on the social media, first dig their profile. I've been following exchange of words between you and desiredhome. If you dig his profile and check his stance mainly on religion, you'd not bother wasting your precious time and data on him again. Just ignore him. |
GamalNasser:his silence on several security issues is deliberate |
SmartPolician:South West had seen it much earlier and that's why they formed amotekun who now bear arms. My south south pipo, wetin una dey do with ncdc money? |
sodiqapril:did you know how many of the isis who must have successfully entered nigeria after the guy was caught? These daredevils don't give up easily. |
GamalNasser:if your plan isn't working you meant ? |
E don happen. No wonder seun okinbaloye of channels drilled the army chief last night for so long . At some point, the man didn't know what to say again. God! |
The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, and the Nigerian Army Headquarters have been silent since the media reported that ISIS and al-Qaeda groups are planning to infiltrate Southern Nigeria and expand across West Africa. Likewise, there was a sudden loss of voice of the Presidential Aides who are reputed for their quick reactions to national issues. The warning of the infiltration by the terrorist groups was stated in a virtual media briefing by Dagvin Anderson, the Commander of the US special operations command, Africa, who claimed Al-Qaeda is also expanding to other parts of West Africa. According to Anderson, “We have engaged with Nigeria and continue to engage with them in intel sharing and in understanding what these violent extremists are doing, “And that has been absolutely critical to their engagements up in the Borno state and into an emerging area of northwest Nigeria that we’re seeing al-Qaeda starting to make some inroads in. “So, this intelligence sharing is absolutely vital and we stay fully engaged with the government of Nigeria to provide them with an understanding of what these terrorists are doing, what Boko Haram is doing, what ISIS-West Africa is doing, and how ISIS and al-Qaeda are looking to expand further south into the littoral areas. “We as a community of international nations, keep thinking we have defeated them or we have put them on their back foot and that they’re just moments from disintegration,” Anderson said for international efforts to yield desired results in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria, the government must take the lead. “When it comes to Nigeria in general, Nigeria, obviously, is a critical nation to West Africa. It is a critical nation, and we realise that Nigeria is a lynchpin,” he said. Recall, following the index case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria, it took the president about one month before addressing the nation. This was done after lots of criticism from citizens. The Nigerian Military official websites, social media pages, were also void of any statement on the latest report of the probable invasion of southern Nigeria by the terrorist groups. Vanguard reported in June that fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in trucks fitted with machine guns attacked a military base in Auno, a village that is 25 kilometres (15 miles) from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, killing six soldiers. ISWAP is a faction of Boko Haram who claimed affiliation with the ISIS. Vanguard News Nigeria. All rights reserved. Donaldomo:wow. That's my lga. Where in akoko edo are you? Tell me ![]() |
Na these people go finish us, except we act fast. The tribe who doesn't believe in tomorrow but what they could eat and finish on the spot. Revolution now or never |
naija everywhere. Get well soon |
SmartProf:who's to blame, the innocent guy or the factory who failed to do the needful? I cant wait to hear the factory had been set ablaze. Make school resume first and see UI students in action. It's a proceed of oyo state's money which wad acquired illegally by the past govt of ajimobi |
jrusky:complete it...apc lagos and osun campaign organisation only on nairaland. |
Trumpcard05:Shhhh! Don't talk too much else, the nairalander campaigners would hit you. They're would be shocked and that's all I can say. |
Jimbadly:story for da gods |
Shame, shame, shame. I'm with wike on this, nddc should be handed over to technocrats to run and not the govt. Edo hasn't benefited much since the useless body was set up. My pipo, is the APC not worse that the PDP with the recent development nationwide? Make una no run nigeria dry nah ![]() |
Abouwaza:what covid-19 does. Destroys vital organs |
Mo3891:I'm from akoko edo constituency 1, imoga to be precise. Idiaye who also hails from my constoruency would regret his action because all the wards chairmen and our LGA chair are behind GO. His one tree can't make a forest. Should i show you the recent campaign rally of GO? |
Igbosmoker:story story, stoori |
RealAlubarika:Ok Akhere. I can see you're not even here, needless to say much about your possibility of voting. Fingers crossed |
onatisi:Somebody must start it to convince those of us behind the computer and I can't wait to join if edo starts their own revolution now tomorrow. Thanks to God no shot was fired and had those who took the bold step today to come out thought as youre thinking, they'd not have shown people like you and i that it's possible. The beginning of a better country has started. I can see that already with today's protests |
RealAlubarika:you're not from edo, its glaring in your comment. Anybody could claim any town in edo on social media. Fyi, APC has no base in Irrua or other parts of edo central. You cannot ask edo people to stay at home and they'd listen to you when they're not cowards like your people . I doubt if you know those whom you're talking about . Edo central is where oshiomohle didn't do much as governor in retaliation of his maltreatment during his election because they didn't vote for him. They voted pdp massively . Their roads were abandoned for over 8 years , thanks to obaseki who remembered them, as if he knew he would need them someday. The disgruntled feeling is still there and they'd show apc this time that they have a strong candidate. You dare not mention ize-iyamu in tony anenih's town if you need your life. For the record, apc has always been rigging for their candidate especially at the federal level since 2015 and have always lost. Now that the incumbemt is pdp, it would he very hard for them. If Oshiomohle and obaseki couldn't stop edo from voting pdp at federal despite the federal might and the massive spending with daylight rigging in the whole of etsako and akoko edo, pdp candidate still defeated buhari. |
onatisi:She's wrong. How many people have been missing so far? Even in this protest. Some protesters were arrested and later released with no single person killed. You see that's why nigeria would always remain in same position until some people come out to say, enough is enough. Only cowards behave like this. The protests and agitations for democracy in the 80s and 90s gave rise to the democracy we have today. I wish you were born when babangida and abacha ruled nigeria. Thanks to the activists of that time. |
His blind supporters won't see this, those whose lives have been mortgaged |
nairavsdollars:your last sentence on buratai is more sensible. Somebody must start the protest. I guess you're alright as Nigerian and not feeling the heat. I guess you also have armed personnel guiding you wherever you go. |
socialmediaman:that's why e no go eva go wella for tinubu |
Igbochief001:lies from the pit of hell |
GamalNasser:the useless man was busy packing fulanis in his government and abandoned those who voted him in power. I hope he's seeing his mistakes with the way buhari is ruling Nigeria now. He was too soft and softness kee his govt. Yesterday when lai muhamed jumped on air and upgraded hate speech fine from 500k to 5m naira, l knew they were cooking something. Naija, food don redi ooo |

You don't know what you're saying, you're still living in delusion, I will remind you this come 20th or 21st September when the Gubernitorial election result is released. What do you know about Edo politics? You've shown you're not from Edo state as you claim
