bejeiodus: Oyegun lacks the political adroitness to manage the disparate interests in the APC. His poor handling of the crisis in the Ondo state chapter of the party has unambiguously exposed his leadership ineptitude. He needs to be axed if the APC hopes to remain united.
no one can handle the greed and power hungry nature of Tinubu. even if oyegun is replace by someone else there will still be problems because Tinubu will always want to lord it over everyone in the party and that will lead to problems.
1. Islamiphobia- He threatened to bar muslims from entering the U.S. and accused american muslims of harboring terrorists. Many people fear that his hatred for muslims will elevate islamophobia to an official level.
2. Deportation of illegal immigrants and erecting a wall along the Mexico-US border. He threatened to make Mexico pay for the wall.
3. He dismissed global warming as a hoax. Many environmentalist are afraid that his presidency will erode all the gains so far made in protecting the environment.
4. He used so much racially charged rhetoric in his campaign and this has created the fear that his presidency might witness a resurgence of racism.
5. He has a history of objectifying women and name calling and many fear that the respect and decorum usually associated with the office of the president will be thrown to the wind.
6. He proposed an isolationist economic policy. He promised to restrict free trade between the US, Mexico and Canada, as guaranteed by the NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement). If he restricts free trade other countries might also tow the same line in retaliation.
7. He promised to impose 45% tariff on Chinese imports. This will trigger a trade war as China will definitely retaliate.
8. His stance on NATO has created fear amongst US allies. He accused European NATO members of not pulling their weight and said the US may consider dropping out of the alliance because of it.
9. He threatened to pull out of the US-Japan treaty. He also suggested that he will encourage Japan and South Korea to develop nuclear weapons. This will further lead to nuclear proliferation.
onomeasike: You are the one that is not reading. This is not a beer parlour, the video was shown and no link or prove to the assertion was displayed along with the video. And how does just saying they are Nigerians authoritatively confirm that they are Nigerians? We have heard reported cases of Ghanaians and some other African nationals claiming to be Nigerians. If you are gullible, I am definitely not
the video was from the store they robbed. after the robbery police arrested several suspects and eventually dishes out the criminals. read the story bro.
is it a statistical fact that petroleum product importation gulps 75% of our forex? is there a citation for that? aside from this the idea of refining our own crude has been suggested over and over again by various persons and I think moving forward it is something that the govt has to strive to achieve.
investnotspend: Hahaha I laugh in pidgin , from 6000MW to 2000MW and and my light has never been this stable befor, abeg biko if Fashola''s 2000MW would give me stable light then I want it . PDP you better go and focus on Ondo and leave Buhari and his Son Fashola alone
what are you trying to say? that because you have light others who do not should go to hell or are you trying to deny the fact that the power sector has witnessed a tremendous drop in power generation since fashola became minister of power?
fiizznation: There are something one shouldn't ignore especially when that thing is misleading. I wouldn't have commented here if they didn't bring the VAT issue up. The funny thing is most of them have zero idea about how proceeds are generated from alcoholic products, they don't know how it is shared but they still think they can deceive themselves with their ignorance. All the same I do appreciate your brotherly advice.
so why don't you tell us how vat is collected. kindly expose ur ignorance so we can have a good laugh.
AutoJoshNG: In this article, I will be taking you through the easy steps you can use to buy your car from USA and ship to Nigeria without leaving your bedroom. Virtually all car dealers in Nigeria follow these same steps to buy and import the cars they sell to you. I'll be proud to hear that you were able to import your car all by yourself after you read this post.
Steps to buy your car from USA and ship to Nigeria.
Register with a car auction website:
Online car auction is the safest and most reliable way to buy your car across the Atlantic especially when you do not have a well trusted ally over there. Don't make the mistake of sending your money to any dealership. Most importantly, never send your money to family and friends that are not well trusted as they may use your money to pay rent. Some of these auction companies offer free registration while others charge $200 (N91,000) initial registration as well as annual subscription. A few of these online car auction sites are copart.com, auctionexport.com, iaai.com etc. You will also need to submit your identification card as well as other required documents in order to increase your bidding eligibility.
Learn and understand the common terms used in car auction:
This is very important as the technical terms are tools you require to make purchase decisions. You need to know the meaning of salvage title, clean title, buy it now, pure sale, enhanced vehicle, engine start program, run and drive etc. You also need a basic idea of the location of the states in USA so your story won't be like that of a guy who bought a car in Oregon State thinking the car was in Orlando, Florida. He eventually paid additional $1,500 (N250,000) in shipping charges back in 2014. OYO is your case if you make such mistake today as you'll have to cough out N700,000.
Note that you cannot export a car that does not have a valid title. You should only proceed to bid if the car's title document is clean title, certificate of title or salvage title. You will not be able to export a car from USA if it has bill of sale or parts only certificate except the car is dismantled.
Search and select the car you want to buy:
This is the most tedious part of buying a car in Nigeria as you sometimes have to drive from Lagos to Ibadan in search of a car you may not like eventually. However, online auction gives you access to over 150,000 cars from your bedroom. Isn't that interesting?
At this point, you really need to shine your eyes. This is where most people make mistakes as they fall in love with a car that looks spotless in picture. Thereby ignoring the fact that the vehicle narration states that it has a front end accident. You may not see the front damage in the picture because the car may have been partially repaired by the insurance company before putting it up for bid. Hence, you have to pay attention to every single detail and don't just look at a car on the surface.
Well, some car dealers in Nigeria don't pay attention to details because they prefer to buy the scrappy accidented cars which are cheaper and they come fix them here. Make sure you do a Vehicle History/VIN check before you proceed to buy the car. You can also engage the service of independent inspectors who would do a thorough inspection of the vehicle on your behalf. This inspection service comes at a cost of about $90.
Buy your car:
Some cars are listed as buy it now which means you can buy them at the displayed price immediately you spot them. However, other cars can only be purchased at a predetermined bid date. So you have to wait for that date and time to join the bid room (See video of Nigerians in the bid room).
When I get to this stage, I always pray this our Naija internet does not mess me up. I dumped Swift Network for Smile but now thinking of Spectranet as the Smile is beginning to turn to frown.
Pay for your car:
Bank wire transfer and debit/credit card are the 2 main options you can use to make your payment. The card payment is faster and cheaper, however, you'll be restricted by maximum card limits and declined transactions on most Nigerian cards. Therefore, you are probably left with just the wire transfer. Buy dollar from your Aboki and send through your bank dollar account. All these can be done over the phone and online.
Furthermore, you have to initiate the transfer of the money as soon as possible because you will be charged a penalty of $50 to $100 if they don't get your money within 2-3 business days. Immediately they receive the money, they credit your car auction online account with the same amount. Hence, your payment for the car in processed and voila! the car is yours.
Ship your car from USA:
At this point, you or your shipping agent in USA will arrange a tow truck or flat bed to pick up the car and deliver at the closest US seaport. This cost may be as low as $200 and it may be as high as $1,800 if you buy your car in a state that is far away from the seaports on the east coast.
Note that your car must leave the auction company's compound/yard within 7 days after the bid date. Else, you will start to pay $20 daily for storage charge.
Your shipping agent clears the car through US customs for export. Before, you know it, your car is already on the Atlantic heading to Nigeria. Most people prefer Ro-Ro (Roll on Roll off) shipping method to Container shipping. This is because the container shipping method is a little more expensive. You also have to pair with other people in order to share the container cost. The challenge with the pairing is some of the people you share the container with may delay in presenting their shipping documents or payment for import duty in Nigeria and this may make you incur demmurage at Lagos port.
Clear your car with Nigeria Customs:
You can do this yourself if you have the time and energy to spare. Alternatively, employ the service of a reliable clearing agent who will clear your car within 2-3 days.
The surface duty is 35% of the estimated value of the car. In addition, you will pay surcharge, VAT, shipping and terminal charges as well as other miscellaneous charges. Note that owners of 2016 and 2017 cars with mileage less than 5,000 kilometres will pay surface duty of 70%.
Finally:
It takes an average of 6 weeks to get the car from the auction site to Lagos. I have done it before in 4 weeks but that was just a one-off.
Now. you can buy your car from USA and ship to Nigeria without leaving your house.
Tell if you brought in your car from USA and your experience.
veekid: The first android I used was Samsung Sidekick; it was on ice cream then; but I later upgraded it to jellybean....... gone are the days; I think that was in the year 2013
jpphilips: Hillary proposed a no fly zone likely to target most of the Syrian Air Force and strategic installations, the bad news is that for you to maintain a no fly zone, you need flying assets in the zone, in 2014, Russia deployed the SAM 300/400 to protect most of Syria's airspace except the border region with Turkey. Hillary's proposal will be exposing American air force to one of the world's best air defense systems, A no fly zone will equally mean that Russian assets can be shot down in Syrian air space. just yesterday, the US spy chief in an interview called Hilary's proposal "childish", in his words, "Hillary thinks Russia is Chechnya". Donald Trump has the best foreign policy amongst the candidates, a failed foreign secretary can not make a good president, all talk no action.
was it not under Hillary Clinton, as secretary of state that a us ambassador was killed in lybia? what did the us do?
IamOdin: After reading ur response i sighed. Assad is not a dictator, ghadaffi is not a dictator, hussein is not a dictator. These are great rulers. U.S just wanted regime change in those countries for their national interest.
If u may, brief me on what u think is happening in syria and also who founded ISIS and their motive for doing so, bro.
don't mind this guy bro. ghadaffi was a dictator but under his leadership lybians had one of the he highest standard of living. since his ouster what has been happening in lybia?
Call07034780891: Who does not know that the main-stay of Russia is oil and weapon development! Now oil price has crashed, Russia's economy is crashing with it. Russia likes war situation around the world so that they can be selling their wares just like they are selling to Assad in Syria despite the fact that it is being used to kill the the civilian population in Syria..
who has caused more wars and crisis in other parts of the world, Russia or US? FYI is sell more weapons and makes more weapons than Russia.
bettercreature: It wont take AMERICA OR UK 6 months to build a missile 50x more powerful than this shiiit if the need arises beside Non of this shiiit can reach Uk or USA before they are shot down Putin always use this shiits to score political points
you know all these became you are the defense secretary of the us, abi?
malele: Guy ur topic I very deceitful, the missile they have that can destroy area size of texas is still under development, and will be operational either 2018 or 2020, and the name of the missile is sarmat
mastermaestro: You would want to acknowledge that monarchy is losing its ancient reverence and influence worldwide except in places where it operates on a theocratic foundation. Highhandedness cost Rehoboam the throne, while wisdom plus diplomacy secured the throne for Solomon.
This Oba faces an ignoble fate laden with public criticism, defiance and unresolvable conflicts at his doorstep. GOD forbid! But this looks very likely. Those urging him on, as they did Rehoboam, have no idea what being a leader entails.
you are missing something here, the cdas are not backed by law they only exist because they are mostly made up of thugs who intimidate people to part with the money and govt has chosen to look the other way because they use these thugs for their own purposes. so suspending them is in order.
Whynotthetruth: I believe if you can see beyond your nose, you would have gained from either PRESSID, YOUWIN, GIS or many other of his entrepreneurial programs... Unfortunately, such thought process as expressed by you above keeps the carrier down without positives
how many companies were successfully incubated by those programs you just listed? can you mention some.
tosyne2much: Yes you will only see 1.5gb but when you subscribe a other 1.5gb will be added to it.. like I said earlier. It is only for new android users
o I see it is only for new android users. because I sub for the 1.5gb the other day and did not get any bonus 1.5gb.
sureguy02: Stanbic never bids successfully for 182 days. I think I will stop going with their rates. They always want me to invest in "alternative investments" whenever they are informing me that the bidding wasn't successful.
DickDastardly: Jagaban remains the leader of our party. You are entitled to your bigotted opinion. Tinubu is APC and APC is Tinubu. Buhari and Oyegun are the ones to go float another party if they can't stand the Jagabans clout and influence!!
APC is a conglomeration of several parties. tinubu should not try and shove other elements in the party to one side if he continues to do this he will continue to be humiliated. besides he only commands respect in some sw state, nobody gives a f about him in other regions of the country.
Those who think northerners are in support of Oyeguns treachery should have a rethink.
In all fairness, Tinubu should not have been treated the way he was, but he remains our Jagaban of Borgu (in Niger State), the indefatigable leader of SW politics and undisputed undertaker of Jonathan's failed presidency.
God bless Tinubu, PMB and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
why do people have this erroneous belief that tinubu has the right to dictate who wins the apc primary. I am very sure that if he had his way he would have also swept others aside for his preferred candidate like he did to fashola in the last Lagos gov elections
fados4sure: Are you through? have you heard of operational cost? Do you know how much they spend every day/week/month/year in buy diesel just for you to have network? do you also know that cost of doing business in Nigeria is more expensive than other country? have you also taught about their cable, frequency & fibre optic network that are been vandalize on a daily basis? I went to MTN office in Cyprus & when they analyse all this to me, i shed tears.
Give em constant power & tell your country-men to stop stealing & vandalizing. i can bet my life, you will enjoy good & cheap service
are other telcos not operating in the same environment?
