Politics › Re: Which Is The Most Corrupt Government Parastatal? by eros(m): 8:39am On Jul 10, 2010 |
We all know Nigeria is corrupt. Even you and i are also corrupt, either in our business, homes, schools or wherever we find ourselves. Corruption has spread the length and breadth of Nigeria. So why over-flog the issue, instead of proffer solutions?
MY SOLUTION TO NIGERIA'S CORRUPTION
When my time comes, i intend to take over NEPA or PHCN, whatever they call themselves these days, invest my personal fund and set up structures and equipments that will give Nigeria power uninterrupted for the next fifty years. Then someone with a larger vision can take over from me.
Thereafter, i intend to build cheap, affordable, standard and descent estates targeting the less privileged in our society who cannot afford the outrageous high rent rate in Lagos and other states in Nigeria.
These and other projects are the vision and plans i have for Nigeria. God help me.
Now instead of keep listing the most corrupt Government parastatal, why don't we list how we can improve Nigeria since our elected leaders have all turned thieving b.a.stards |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Obafemi Martins Leaves Wolfsburg For Russian Champions by eros(m): 8:22am On Jul 10, 2010 |
Becomrich0: obafemi is running because of tax system. He is smarter than most of the player. He is calculating how much he get back. You dont want to leave in a country where the tax is too high. britian has higher tax than other country. Look if you make 10 million in a country and you have to pay 5 million in tax. While another country you are given 8 million but you have to pay 2 million. you kept 6 million.
Nigerian only calculate how much we keep back. How much do i get back. If truly this is one of the reasons he is leaving his former club, then good for him. However, it is not good for his career. Whichever way or whatever he does, he is still gonna be a million pounds richer and i envy him for that. |

Politics › Re: How Much Is The Annual Package Of An Lg Chairman by eros(m): 2:52pm On Jul 08, 2010 |
Jakumo: The annual budget allocated to each of Nigeria's mostly redundant local government chairmen is in excess of 1.17 Billion naira, or 93 million naira per month, which equates with nearly $ 600,000 USD of free cash up for grabs every 30 days.
In accordance with standard protocol, local government chairmen are expected to patriotically steal 98% of all funds that fall within reach of their grasping paws, with the remaining 2% of the swag designated to be shared among cronies, family members, concubines, hookers and political godfathers, in that order of precedence. Praise the Lord ! That is Naija for show. |

jposuagwu: It appears the owner of this site is never interested in all the allegations of fraud going on here on nairaland. He is a very important factor in eliminating fraudsters from the site. But it appears he is more interested in making cash than the integrity of the business. I want to warn that if he continues to be non-challant about fraud on NL, then another site will spring up to compete with nairaland. This site will have zero tolerance for fraud and related activities and will take care of the shortcomings of nairaland. I hope someone is listening? Well said. Fraud shouldn't be taken lightly. It is a menace that has almost destroyed Nigeria and well meaning Nigerians reputation. For Christ sakes, we should be able to do certain things in Nigeria without it being stained with fraud. Seun please do something about these fraudsters polluting our beloved Nairaland. |

More details of location in London: http://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/fact-sheet/travel/longh-grosvenor-house-a-jw-marriott-hotel/
As I write this, many responsible London based Nigerians are jamming the hotel switchboard with telephone calls.
Great Nigerians and friends of Nigeria please let us scupper this corrupt waste of Nigeria’s funds. Call Grosvenor House Hotel on +44 (0)207 499 6363, query whether the conference is ongoing and request the number of their manager/ complaints department. State that you intend to register your protest in writing, try and get as many details as they will give out and post it here.
Do something about this, don't wait for others to do something. Great work. Can we also call from Nigeria? |
