Qmerit: You are missing it boss. It is now dawn on us that Magu is their nightmare at the senate. And the nomination was wrongly sent in the first place, they ve no power under EFCC. Constitutionally.... what they quote is passive You are the one getting it wrong sir! The constitution is clear, Magu may be their ''nightmare'' but was it the Senate that declared Magu not fit to head EFCC?? NO! It was rather the DSS which is another agent of the presidency, working directly under the president, so what are we talking about?? Whats the fault of the Senate here? |

Nigeria and lawlessness. Impunity everywhere, leaders only obey the resolutions that favour them. The Senate rejected a nominee but you still insist on keeping him. |

makazona: So are merely restating what their "spokespersons " have said. Good. if you are grounded in Nigeria politics, you should know how those you mentioned, represent their people. now tell me, why do other Democratic countries subject such serious issues to a poll/referendum e.g Turkey, Britain etc? this is because its the surest way to get the PERSONAL OPINION of the people.
Did you know that Ahoada, Rivers state was supposed to be in Bayelsa (especially Mbiama) but because the people (not representatives) rejected the move.
Inasmuch as I am not against the opinions of the ethnic nationalities you mentioned, I believe that in a Democratic setting like ours, referendum would be a better way. Have a nice day. Point of correction, Britain didnt hold a referendum for themselves but rather to break away from the EUROPEAN UNION just like Nigeria is part of AFRICA UNION, again, Turkey only held a referendum to shift power towards their President. Oh yes am well ''grounded'' in politics. Moreover, I've seen and heard the opinions of many of these tribes including South-South because I have many of them as friends, they dont want to be associated with Igbos, not to talk of 'biafra'!! They will tell you that they dont like Igbos. Now, if a referendum is held today in Nigeria, are you even sure that Igbo majority will vote for biafra? Shalom |

FemiMaduka: Jesus! where the hell did I talk to you about 'Biafra'? Why are you having a preconceived idea that I must of a necessity be pro-Biafra. That is very wrong! Stop putting words into my mouth please. Let me ask you a question: If an Igboman from Rivers, Edo or Ebonyi denounces Biafra (which you mentioned), does that change the fact that he is Igbo Mr man, you are going off the rail! My argument has been about 'biafra' or no biafra, with reference to the parts of Nigeria who have distanced themselves from the biafra agitation. I never wrote about whether those states or Igbos who denounced themselves as biafran remain Igbos or not! You can continue writing about the geography of the Old Eastern map but stop quoting me out of context. Thanks |

But for now, hold your peace. thanks alot Yeah I'm not their spokesperson but many of their spokespersons have come out to distance their states and tribes from biafra. Kogi, Benue, Ijaw, Delta and the rest and even their Senators reprsenting them in the Senate have distanced themselves from the biafra agitation with some of their groups going as far as calling their inclusion in biafra as 'santanic' and 'wicked'! You should know this if you are current with the news! Peace. |

When it is clear that UN will conduct Referendum, then will he make it clear to you the tribe they seek to follow One thing I dont still get is the reason some biafra apologists want so many other states to follow them. So you are now so close to Prof. Jerry Gana that you've read mind to know his true intention?? Are you even sure that all the eastern states will vote in favour of referendum if it is conducted? Politics › Re: Why Nigeria Cannot Be Restructured – IPOB by escodotman: 11:23am On Jul 04, 2017 |
FemiMaduka: If you read the piece well you would realise the word 'part' was used. And also, there was no place in the write-up where other ethnic groups were mentioned. The writer only made reference to indigenous IGBOS in far flung areas especially in states outside of the traditional Southeast ( majorly due to the haphazard way in which states were carved out). One thing people fail to realise (wittingly or unwittingly) is that the old pre-war eastern region didn't even capture the whole of Igboland. It left out a sizeable chunk of Igbos in Delta, Edo, Benue and Kogi (howbeit in the border areas for both Benue and Kogi). People also fail to realise that there are indigenous Igalas in Enugu state. Well, I think a majority of Nigerians actually wallow in misinformation or are just plain mediocres; or else how can a SANE Nigerian think/believe that there is such an ethnic group as named as DELTA, RIVERS, CROSS-RIVER, NIGER-DELTA, SOUTH-SOUTH OR EVEN ABIA! I dare say that the river Niger dissects Igboland into two unequal halves, with the greater half falling to the east of the same river; and that there have always been some riverine non-Igbo tribes standing between the Igboland and the Atlantic ocean. The only outlet being a short stretch of river through Opobo Yes I read piece well as there was no where 'part' was used, but obviously it is you who didnt read it well. It is a pity how some people wallow in ignorance. Even if there are some indegenous Igbos in some states, these states have made their intentions known they dont want to have anytin to do with biafra! Even if there should be a referendum and some Southeast states vote against biafra in their majorities, will the pro-biafrans force them to accept their believe? |

dokie: Look I am from Enugu, Nsukka to be precise. There are indigenes in kogi that speak my language, I mean Igbo is their language. I was shocked when I found this out. I met this guys in Lagos. Now do u think those guys will want to stay with the north in the event of a breakup? I doubt it. They may not want to stay with the north but also they have said they are not part of biafra. Speaking Igbo language doesnt translate to being a biafra. The fact you are Igbo from Enugu doesnt mean you are a biafran unless you choose to. Not even all the Igbos living in the East support biafra! |

And you think its possible just for some communites to segregate themselves from the rest of a whole state and declare themselves ''part of biafra''?? Why dont we think ? Even the governors of southest states haven't declared their respective states as part of the biafra agitaion. |

mgbadike81: go and take a look at the map of the old eastern region, parts pf the eastern region were carved into these states after the war, that's why we have igbo speaking people in places like Benue. Even if those states were crafted and cut out from your so called Eastern region, right now they are states on their own in the Federal Repuplic of Nigeria and they have rejected being part of biafra! You people who claim to call yourselves 'atheists', always referring to ''the Bible, the Bible'' making references to 'your Bible'' and using the events therein as a focus of baseless arguments, pointing to the ones that favours your reasoning and using them against Christians.... Now, if you staunchly believe in the Bible's certain events to the point of accusing God of 'genocide, sexism bla bla & using them against Christians.... YET you dont believe in His existence, then you are guilty of Double Standard and you are all just ridiculously fooling yourselves. tsk tsk tsk what a shame! In your heads, you think you should believe those aspects that tend to lean towards your arguments about God, despite people like you, it would have been more convenient if all those events you are claiming 'genocide and repentance from evil' were never included in the Bible but hey, God is bigger than anyone and He is the Supreme Being, His words are ye and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword! He is God. The Old Testament depicted God as a ''no-nonsense' God, who would defend His people against pagans and idol worshippers and those countries who didnt serve Him, bringing immediate judgement to those who trangressed. An unquestionabe God. A God of wonders. A God that kill & make alive. A God that used fire and water at seperate times to destroy the earth. You can't question Him, He is God. The Almighty. Yet meek, kind, slow to anger and easily forgive. [''Your sins I'll no longer remember'' ''As high as the Heaven is above the Earth so great is His love''] Now & from the New Testament, we enjoy Grace through Christ who died for us [''As far as the east is from the west, so far as He taken our sins from us'']. One question I'd ask; if God didnt create the universe, then who did?something must definitely come from someone |
