PoliticsRe: Scientists In Canada Announces The Successful Treatment Of Ebola Virus by Etfash(m): 7:58pm On Aug 08, 2014
@Jakumo, you should apply more love.
I don't pay tithe anymore; based on personal discovery. But then, i don't think people who do are sheepish. Come to think of it, are you financially better than the tax payers in your place of work? If you will be sincere, the answer will be No!

As for the private jet stuff... Well, would you feel better if he was a beggar? Was Christ one?
Remember, even if he was not a preacher, he wouldn't still be a poor man now. He was a senior lecturer, a first-class graduate from UNN, he left everything, sold his "dignity" and attended to an 'unlearned' old man, he sacrificed his dream of becoming the youngest VC, sold his car for evangelism, emptied his bank account, moved from a flat to a room apartment with his family among other things. Would he please God more if he were any less than he is today?

I think we should just apply more love and we will be balanced.

With due respect guys, i beg to differ from the line of thinking of many.

First, the paper was published in 2013; so, the study was done earlier.

Guys, let us not blame our professors. The situation in this part of the world is not helping at all.
1) We have several discoveries made and published by our scholars that would have bettered our lives but are lying in the departmental libraries of many schools

Reason: No adequate synergy between the Research institutions and the industry

2) Infrastructural issues. Do you guys know that DNA of a number of people with downs syndrome was destroyed because of a prolonged power outage sometimes in 2007. This was the work of an Imperial College and Nigerian born scholar in the nation's premier university

Reason: No adequate power supply or alternative energy source for extended power outage.

3) Inadequate funding. I was to work on HIV from my undergraduate to PhD. I only needed to know what fraction of a population had an inactive CD4 sites for the retrovirus in my undergraduate and continue from there. I assure you i knew this field and was very interested, but my immediate need for money coupled with the fact that many of my lecturers were barely comfortable, i opted for the industry, especially the oil and gas things. I am sure by now, at least i would have been able to know if those with the inactive CD4 receptor sites have other health issues or not and how active sites can be deactivated... Just thinking, no longer current.

So, our researchers are working... But there are many wasters, either systemic or circumstantial.
PoliticsRe: Heard Just Now That MR President Is Very Sick And Possibly Dead ??????? by Etfash(m): 8:35pm On Aug 01, 2014
There seem to be gross inadequacy in morality amongst the present day youth.

The other day, El-rufai lost a son, many came up and actually cursed him.

Today, here are a group of ingrates who do not have the slightest idea of their identity wishing a human being, a leader, their president dead.

Have we finally lost it in this generation? Must everything be about food, money, stuffs and power?
We are in dire need of reorientation.

@Savant u are too much.
The truth, like a poster once pointed out, is there are no right or wrong answers to many of the questions. Just make a choice and support cleverly.
If you ask me, just like in an Argument write up, i will advice that you try to mention a few points that may make the other option suitable and smartly puncture them. @Savant has just done that.

@all, great job.
PoliticsRe: Scientists Have Found A Potential Cure For Ebola by Etfash(m): 3:07pm On Jul 29, 2014
I have thought about the black race so much and seriously, i wonder who we are.
Few years ago, one of the inventors of the DNA structure stated that the blacks are not as intelligent as the other races. He was suspended and punished by the USA.
But then, please let's face it: what exactly is the problem of the black race? Slavery is long gone now, but many of us are still mentally enslaved; We hold unto elective positions and refuse to step down even when the electorates say so; as if we are only free when we rule.
Our best hands are leaving our land, foreign companies in our land employ some of the few brilliant ones available; we continue to enrich the strangers; Because, often times, they even treat the blacks better than the way the blacks treat their fellow blacks. Our best hands would rather work for organisations than start up something on their own and employ people. We always take the easy way out... Proffering short term solutions to very long term problems.
Watch how Africans, particularly the black people, perform in sports...

We need a PERSPECTIVE CHANGE.... Africans must grow from dependence to interdependence. Freedom should be viewed as a state of the mind rather than being the absence of chains or presence of money and power. Unnecessary appetite for public funds and resources must be killed.

I am a black man, so please, no offence is intended. We only need to work on our mentality.

bestads: Going by the population of the North...China and India would have overrun USA,UK,CANADA, and ALL EUROPE in Military war.

what makes you think it is numbers that count in warfare
The point is, the whole 19 states being Northern states is a political joke!

Besides, hear me very clearly today, there will be no disintegration and i assure you all, the 2015 election will be more peaceful than that of 2011 because before then, God in His own way would have exposed, expelled and silenced every enemy of this great nation.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Can't Win Any Northern State- Kwankwaso by Etfash(m): 11:04am On Jul 23, 2014
But seriously, as days go by, i begin to see how superior PDP is to APC. They are far more democratic and intelligent... My submission is that come 2015, APC wouldn't even be a problem at all.

Meanwhile, i am certain that PDP will win Kano and Kwara states where we have so much haters of Nigeria' good as leaders.

Talking about GEJ, he has done so much; that is the truth and Nothing can change that. It is clear.
The opposition only criticize him on the insecurity situation in the North East. But then, if APC is so concerned about the security of Nigerians, let them propose a solution to GEJ. They don't have to make their options public... Just a request to meet with GEJ and his aides to discuss the security situation. But No, they will never do that. They only want to rule the country... Can anyone rule dead people?

Simple, they are probably not privy to that information.
When it becomes available in the "public domain", i assure you, we will be told.... He is still very much around.

Erza: some are wink
I think many are like that because they put first things first.

For me, i do what i do because of the women in my life. I remember in high school, i read for longer and endured hunger because of my grandmother. Today, i am sufficiently blessed to be a blessing to her.
And, i still press further today because of my Fiance, she deserves the best, sometimes she doesn't understand but i don't get distracted by that; she deserves the best.

So, i didn't get to have any gf until after my MSc. Not because I was only concerned about studies but because I placed first thing first.

@Mikkyboy, i think this latest trend is okay. Even if we know all the statistics, what good will it do? We have already written the test.

One needs to just relax, and hope. The comment of the great DPlacement about the statistics now will neither pass nor fail somebody who already didn't.

We should not be read by future generations as zombies who lived only to work in NLNG. After all, NLNG is just a stepping stone; many of us will not end it there.

We shall return to NLNG when NLNG gets back to us.

Great job guys...
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Etfash(m): 12:22am On Jul 02, 2014
people will only defend this with the maxim "Work and Pray". When you have a goal in sight working only is likely to get it for you than praying only.

The above may be true for some people. But some cannot even work unless they are strengthened through prayer. They have become so weak on their own because they've learned by experience that without their God, they cannot increase.

ikenna58: With the heart, man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation!
I quite agree with you beloved. To some it is calling a spade a spade but to others, as a man thinks in his heart so he is... You cannot think of failure and have success, No!

@DoTheNeedful, since you did your best why not hope for God's mercies. Remember, by strength shall no man prevail. He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man nor in the strength of a horse; The LORD takes pleasure in those who trust in him. The needful now is to be quiet and trusting.

Good to be back.
BusinessRe: Is it wise to accept a N1m bank loan to return N1.44m in 2 years? by Etfash(m): 2:03pm On Dec 09, 2013
Hello,
I will suggest you don't take the loan!
Have you done transportation business before? If yes how recent? The truth is, it is not advisable to borrow money to start such businesses. Some people will put you in more problems, eventually you will be servicing the loan and be fixing the vehicle.

My options:
If you earn #200k monthly, can you draw up a plan to accumulate 500k over a 6 months period? IT IS POSSIBLE, EVEN IF YOU ARE MARRIED BECAUSE IF YOU SHOULD LOSE THAT JOB TODAY, YOU AND YOUR HOUSEHOLD WOULD STILL SURVIVE! This is because from what you have said, each vanagon will cost you 700k, you already have 400k. Start with one vehicle and your own money, see how the business goes, learn very well from it and then grow from there.
If you heed my advice, i assure you in 2 years, you will not be in that employment again because the few lines above, hard work and God's hand with you would have changed your story.
Regards.

Is writing Exams, Projects and so on for students legal? Is it moral? Should it be done? I think you guys should turn to a tutorial centre or training consultants teaching, coaching and mentoring these students to do these things by themselves rather than doing it for them outrightly.
