Good evening people. Please has anyone here received his or her evaluation report from WES via Canada post? It costs $7 whereas the International courier service costs $85. While I don't want to be wise apiece, I wouldn't like to over stretch my financial muscle IF doing that can be avoided. Thank you in anticipation. |
Guys, I know you all have a right to believe what you will... But, PLEASE, trust me, there is life after death. It is surer than sun rising tomorrow. You will still be conscious, you can still decide on what you want to do, but you don't necessarily think. There is a tiny bridge between life and death. There is also under that bridge, a very deep hole, some creatures are in them, they are not happy. If you gaze too much at them while you try to cross the bridge to the other side, you could fall off that very narrow bridge. But once you cross to the other side of the bridge, 2 people, like you will come to receive you. I won't say more than this, but, I beg, guys trust me, there is life after death, one is pleasant while one isn't. |
@Tola73, thank you so much for the reply. I will weigh my options. |
Good day all, Please will my wife need to write the IELTS exam before joining me? I am looking at a situation where one applies as a single and gets married some months before moving to Canada permanently. Meanwhile, this thread has been informative; kudos to you guys. |

@TheLaughter, you have just lived up to your moniker by making me really laugh. Op, I work with a government parastatal, at least for some part; trust me, Public servants are not paid that much. You will always hear rumours of high pay but I assure you, when you get hired, the reality is far different. Public servants are always hoping for some free money that should come. The downside however is, such monies almost never come. One lesson that I have learnt is: No employer can pay me well enough; it is okay if they appreciate my effort in cash or kind. I am the only one that know how much I am worth and can pay myself that much. Note that your pay is not only monetary. |
I have a plot of land with a 3 bedroom foundation for sale. Each of the rooms is ensuit and the land is located in Ilogbo, Ota. It is about 45 minutes drive from Lagos, other things being equal. Documents available are: Personal survey, Building plan and receipt of purchase. Asking price: N800,000.00 You can contact me on 08039716210. |
I don't see any wrong this prince has committed. When Herod killed James and the church said nothing, he proceeded to take hold of Peter. Then the Church cried out to God and God sent an Angel to resolve the matter. Now, has any of those with a different opinion taken time to consider the shame and the mud the name of Christ would have been dragged into if that pastor wasn't released? How many babes in the faith would have been lost? May i say that we are in the end times and some of the things happening are deliberate acts of Satan and his angels to mock the God of Abraham, the Cross of Jesus and the end time church. Jesus cursed cities that refused to repent after seeing the mighty works of God. How much more... Friends, the Almighty God is a God of Love but also of Judgment, a God of Mercy and a Consuming fire. For some that are always quick to speak against anything said or done by any prince of the Kingdom, well, there may be instances where some princes have fallen short, but i assure you, their judgment is not in your hands; you don't judge a man's servant for him, leave him for his master! Shalom! |
Op, you will need to consider some things.. How old are you? Do you have any work experience? What are your long-term goals? My advise would be based on: If you are 27 or above, without post graduation work experience and you intend to practice; then take the job. Save up and begin a professional program in earnest; you may want to consider ACCA or ICAN. If you prepare for it as if your life depends on it, you will become certified on time. That way, you have about 2years cognate work experience in one hand with ACCA attached to your name on the other hand. I am certain if you do the above, you will not remain on that salary scale for longer than 6 months after you are certified. Now, i will advise you to be focussed for without it we cannot be truly great! Give yourself an incubation period of two years and you will be celebrated when you come back to the labour market. |

@Brownjulie, 'then said Jesus unto the Jews that believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.. And ye shall know the truth and it shall make you free. John8:31-32. Isaiah declared that our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God. It follows that no matter how hard any man tries, none can be righteous. But when a man comes to the cross, believes and confesses Jesus the Messiah as Lord; his sins are blotted out, he is cloth with the righteousness of God in Christ and given a special coach as a gift, the Holy Spirit of promise. The coach now teach the newbie to please God in all things.. That includes abstaining from anything that the Father dislikes. This way the newbie grows into sonship.. Ephesians4 This abstinence is Holiness; the very nature the Almighty God wants his children to attain.. 'be thou holy even as the LORD thy GOD is Holy' Apostle Peter echoed the same scripture and added '......in all manners of conversation' so in our actions and in actions, conscious and subconscious we can actually abstain from the dislikes of the Almighty by yielding completely to the teachings of the coach within us. So, dearly beloved, Righteousness is attained through FAITH but Holiness is attained through WORKS.. '...I beseech ye therefore brethren by the mercies of the Living God, THAT YE PRESENT your bodies as living sacrifice.....' We are to present our bodies. So, if Annyplenty is admonishing us to abstain from the works of the flesh, He is only saying we should yield to the teachings of our coach, the Holy Spirit. He will teach, remind, comfort, counsel and even pray for us but WILL NOT OBEY GOD ON OUR BEHALF. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD! |
chiefolododo:By no means bro. Please no offense was intended. |
chiefolododo:Please don't make such comments again; it is not fair on those who lost people and resources through the war. Many of those clamouring for BIAFRA now, i guess were not around in the late sixties.. Please, the path of peace is better. Violence, as far as i am concerned has not brought any peace in recent times. If you earnestly desire to break away, i will advise that you guys come together and put pen to papers and submit to appropriate quarters, you guys have some of the best brains in the world, this shouldn't be hard. Election would be conducted and you decide your own fate. Having said the above, if we allow unity in this our diversity, we can effectively harness the treasures within this diversity and become the envy of our world. |
bebene:I will advise that you register the business with CAC. If you can talk to somebody who has a space outside his house or office that is close to the main road, it will be nice. Just construct a make shift tent there for a start, attend to customers there and take off from there. It will be good to have a place in your destination too. The above will be more cost effective than renting or buying a place at the beginning. Pressure on your sales would be reduced and more profit would be realised. Appreciate the owner of the space from time to time and ensure you don't break the bridge (keep the relationship, no matter what you do). |
bebene:By new buses, do you mean Tokunbo or Brand new, never used? I would suggest Tokunbo, first grade. If you try to cut down on initial costs, your N6m should get you 5 Ford/Volkswagen Sharon/Sharan space buses @ a maximum of 900k each. In all, ensure that you do it yourselves and reduce starting costs as much as possible. The business, if properly managed, should give you more than 10% ROI on monthly basis. Don't forget to insure those vehicles and have an accountant. Don't run the business just to feed yourselves. |
You guys would have contributed N120,000.00 each by December ending, other things being equal. I stated the above so that each investor would look at that amount and seek returns as such instead of looking at return on N6m. Can you guys go into DO IT YOURSELF TRANSPORTATION? Interested members would part with his or her employment, agreement would be reached among members to factor in these drivers allowance into the operational cost of the vehicles. The profit would be paid into a company account where trusted members are signatories. You guys can share proceeds as agreed by you. Your normal contribution can also still continue. In 5 years, if greed and unnecessary suspicions are avoided, your transport company can become a house hold name in your chosen locations. |
mensdept:Why? Can you say, sincerely, with all honesty that this post is out of your love for humanity and Nigeria? |
Blastfinito:Check your e-mail; I just replied you and sent my phone number. Save it and let's talk. I want to believe you will be willing to relocate to Lagos. |
Blastfinito:Blastfinito, are you in Lagos or Ogun state? Send me a PM. |
Op is so right... I am moved to tears now. How time flies and one easily forget. Father, I am grateful. |
atilla:Visit the Board of internal revenue office in your state. Then request for a Tax Clearance Certificate. You may be required to pay some money regardless of whether the company has been operational or not. However, with good negotiation, you can get it within 2 hours and without a kobo. I hope this piece is helpful. |
takleboy:What job position can you not occupy by merely watching others do it? The reason job positions are so competitive is not because of the job responsibilities but the number of people vying for such positions. Be at peace; if you could survive the Nigerian higher education system, you can survive this one. Christ' love to you. |
OP, he says least who knows most. You didn't need to write on his timeline. I believe the best way to relate is to understand people for who they are and respect that. Not because you are weak but because you are wiser(you understand individual differences and each individual's right to be). An average Igbo man acts like though he has the best culture and can be really arrogant when you look at him from the point of view of an average yoruba man. But why not see and accept him as he is? An average yoruba man on the other hand pretends to be liberal, respectful and humble but, he can be really far from his actions. It is very difficult to trust a yoruba man but then know them for who they are and appreciate them for that. Play your cards well before them. The Hausa man does not believe he shouldn't rule over you; he doesn't value his own life talk less of yours.. That again should be recognised and appreciated. When we are armed with this knowledge, we should harness it and move forward as a country. When we need to relate with the hypocritical nations, particularly the West, the Yoruba people come in handy. When we need to exact a bit of force anywhere, the Igbos can be of great value; when national interest is to be protected at all cost, like the case of the Bakassi peninsula, the Hausas would be good for the job. The Hausas would not have released that land for any reason. Other ethnic groups fall in between these distinct groups. It's time to begin to see the seeming limitations of each ethnic group as a strength in disguise. |
@Jonath0012, You are welcome. Send a PM. |
jonath0012:Since you studied Education, you are a professional in the field already. How much will you need to start a Masters degree? How much will you need to start a Tutorial centre? If you asked me, i would advise that you begin to teach in tutorial centres so as not to be restricted by regular schools. With your discipline, you should be able to teach some of the most sought after subjects: Physics, Mathematics, JAMB maths etc. If you are in Lagos, you could also register with some educational consultants that will pay you to teach private students. While you do the above, a big secret will become open to you; 'there is no big deal about starting your own tutorial centre or even a school'. If you do the above, you will meet with guys who would offer to take one or two subjects in your new Tutorial centre or school. You will employ a school cert/OND graduate as accountant/Secretary for accountability. Keep delivering private lessons for some months even after you have started your own to cushion the initial start-up stress you may encounter along the line. In 24 months, with hard work, commitment and God on your side; you will be wowed by where you would be. Your postgraduate degrees can come then, it would be less stressful and more focussed. I did most of the above years back, i made a lot of money; but instead of starting my own school and run a PgD in education, i went for a Masters degree. Although i work with the PG degree today and do my own businesses, i would have been far ahead if i hadn't gone off that path. Lastly, make up your mind on one thing, don't allow what people will say or how certain people will feel influence your decisions. Make your decisions and work it out! Christ' love to you. |
jonath0012:What's your discipline? Considering marketability, do you sincerely wish to continue in that line or not? |
