Exactly why I am so interested in your comment. You have just considered imprisonment as the consequence of the law he broke, but what if it is capital punishment? I have a question, what if the person lived in a country where capital punishment is valid. Let's say in some states in the US. Better still we say in Saudi Arabia or Iran or in Nigeria where it is 100% sure he is paying with his blood. Do you still maintain your stand? He knows surely he is going to be hung, would you still recommend it? Would you still say it is absolutely necessary?


Also, you are saying his salvation is sealed with restitution. Really? Are you saying Jesus is not enough to seal our salvation? John 3:16 is about Salvation. For God loves the world, He gave his son, who believes him should have salvation (not perish but have eternal life). I don"t think I read restitution added to the criteria of salvation.

I agree that guilty conscience is a terrible thing which can mess one up and restitution may be needed to straighten ones up mentally and emotionally. In this case, do you think guilty conscience can come in immediately when the person needs to battle with his life? Do you think he will even think of sealing his so called salvation with restitution? Is restitution absolutely necessary?

Ok. Now that you have seen the above new scenario and you know that not all cases will lead to just jail term, but some will lead to paying with his blood, would you still say restitution is absolutely necessary to seal our salvation?

What does this have to do with eternal security? All christians believe in having eternal life, the bone of contention is IF eternal life can be lost or not.



The Scripture is true but does not say we are forever saved. It says we have everlasting life. Anyone that has eternal life will not come to condemnation. Anyone that loses eternal life loses the immunity.



You seem to be mistaking eternal life for not losing it. Salvation is a gift, and like every other gift can be lost.



Oh, just when i was talking about the gift. The wages of sin is death. If you sin, you die. Having eternal life does not stop you from commiting adultery or fornication. Your watchfulness does, otherwise no need to watch since you have eternal life any way. The wages of sin is death, not eternal life.



It is an eternal purpose but man has to follow the purpose to the end. It is the one that endures to the end that will be saved. While God will never leave us, the fact is that we can leave Him. That is free will.



Most of the confusion seems to be coming from the word "eternal life". Eternal life is God's gift, God's life which He gives us when we receive and believe Him. We have that life as long as we ABIDE in Him. He does not cage us like evil spirits usually do. If you have had experience of dealing with possessed people, you will clearly see this. Man has his own free will. Once you are set/ready to leave, there is nothing much any spirit can do about it. You have your own free will.



You must have seen a backslider before, right? There are people who stopped believing God and even become complete agnostics and atheists. They do not have eternal life. They are like Judas.



Most of what you have quoted have to do with eternal life. Every normal christian believe in having eternal life so nothing much to say against that. Like i said, the issue is whether that eternal life gift can be lost or not.

The most important thing there is accepting the truth. I mean how can God give one repentance when he rejects the truth about himself? You can read about that in (2 Tim 2:24-26 kjv). I actually posted a topic about this also titled “Will the devil ever repent.” The heart is everything. Even a Muslim has no excuse. God is infallible. If any man ask God with a sincere heart to show him the truth, God will show him the truth. But the truth is expensive. Will he pay the high cost? Will he be willing to get rid of the idols in his heart? (The idols could be his family, friends, money, house, reputation, wrong religious practices, his job, his lifestyle, bitterness, envy, anger, strife, emulation, etc..). You might have to give up all these things and many more, and set your affections on the Lord Jesus. The heart is like a filter, no matter the amount of truth the Bible presents, if it doesn’t fit his or her agenda, the heart will throw it away. This was what was going on in the gospel between Christ and the scribes, Pharisees, etc. The best alternative is for them to study the Bible themselves to see who is right. I have the alternative but providing an alternative will not make them to change their mind because they got a heart problem. They don’t love the Bible and God’s word cannot show light into a person’s heart unless they are willing to get rid of some idol in their heart according to the book of Ezekiel. Now that the Bible has pointed out everything wrong with Catholicism, will they believe it? If the Spirit of God can’t change a man, nothing I say here will matter. You can’t offer to the Lord that which cost you nothing (2 Sam 24:24 kjv). Whoever gets rid of that idol first, and ask God to show him the truth, the Lord will show him the truth. Another big lie. He only came to save his ppl but was cut off or killed or lynched by enemies. Peter affirmed it that he was lynched on a tree.
