teeboy95:OK. Thanks. I'll have to contact my broker first to know the next step since I don't live in Lagos. Someone said if the cheque is above a certain amount, they wouldn't even send it by regular post |
Manonamission:Oooh! OK. No mind me jo. Before this year I hardly used to care about dividend. It's only now I started investing in that direction so I didn't know all this. Thanks bro. I'll go collect it, only that I don't live in Lagos. I'm somewhere in the North central, very far from Lagos. But I guess I just got to make out time if there's no other way . Thanks again. |
teeboy95:Are you saying if someone who qualified for say Zenith Bank dividend, should walk in there now, the cheque would be ready for pickup? So soon? Otherwise is it still possible to process ediv mandate for them? Since they've already paid the bank transfers. I sent them a mail since last week, yet no response. |
PassingShot:Oh so you know this? But you were quick to insult ALL SS/SE senators. Most of whom might not have been members of any of the relevant committees and so unaware of what has transpired. Even as Ashafa mentioned that he's unaware of the removal and stated that he'd have waited till Tuesday when plenary commences before making comments but for the importance of the issue. Without sparing a word of caution or admonition for whoever might have removed it you've run to attack people who haven't even been mentioned in the issue. Now ask yourself what's really driving you? Perhaps it's your hatred for the SS/SE? |
locodemy:They should try and pay the 20 - 25K na, where the FCMBs of this world with an EPS of just 24K could still declare 10K dividend, I say na penny stock them go turn to. That bank is just pretty annoying right now. This is what happens when one entity starts acting like its too big to fail. |
NuttyChoky:But seriously how good is their customer service? That's very important to me |
One more reason why I'll never work for anyone again. These recruiters when they work till past 5pm and are tired start coming up with ridiculous reasons and means of filtering applicants. |
Like play like play FBNH refused to release results today. I was thinking since they didn't release it since, they'd at least make public the results today then the corporate action by tomorrow or latest Friday. Which kind bank be this o |

Tigerbrand don start again. Mscheew . |
NuttyChoky:That must have been a good one. |
RedCapChief:I'd been wondering when they were going to come to Nigeria considering that McKinsey and Bain have been on ground since |
Manonamission:Thank you very much. |
NuttyChoky:Thank you o jare. I was beginning to wonder if i was just imagining things. Now having been a front-line officer in a service providing institution in the past, I know how tough things can be for Customer Service Reps and Account Officers so I try not to make tedious or too much demands. Anyway I will still watch them while looking out for another broker. However if the stuff persists I won't hesitate to file a complaint |
Manonamission:Ah! I like this option, pls explain more. I mean the dividend warrant pick up. That's the alternative I had in mind I just wasn't sure if it was possible. How would they carry out verification? Is it just your ID required? |
ukay2:I saw my order under pending (in the market) but it still wasn't executed. Yeah, well the way I do my things is the next person I'll be talking to in that firm is a very senior manager if not director. I don't want to be the reason someone gets a query or loses their Job but if I have to I will. And I don't have to be a High Networth Individual to pull it off. I know Wetin I suffer when I dey bank. |
emmanuelewumi:I have an account officer it's his number I don't have. I have a number of one or two other persons there, customer care ladies but I don't like calling a particular person all the time. If there's a system that works, this shouldn't be necessary except for special requests. NA wa o |
ukay2:OK great. Now this is what I do most of the time and it's what I did on the trade I placed today. A market order, to add just a little number of units to the ones I already have on FBNH and it wasn't executed. I was online a lot today and lots of FBNH were traded so how come a Market order slipped by? If it was a price limit I'll pretend to understand. |
emmanuelewumi:OK I don't have it o. It's just their general customer care number which most times you'll call like twice or thrice before they even pick. |
Hello House, I don't how many people use Investment-One, but I do and recently I've begun to notice some unacceptable lapses in their service delivery. So I don't know if there's anyone else experiencing this or it's just me. Like a little over a week ago I placed an order through mail and it went unacknowledged and unexecuted. I was upset. Today again, I just observed the same thing. So perhaps there's anyone with similar experience, before I know which step person go take next. ![]() |
FranklinRich:Funny enough I've never gotten dividend via this e-dividend process. It's always been through checks after like 4 months. Frustrating! I submitted my e-div forms/mandate a couple of weeks back for Veritas and First Registrars, just praying they effected it early enough. |
funkymeky:Bro, Ordinarily no problem BUT if I keep answering these questions on this forum it will ultimately reduce the value of the forum. Why? I'm more or less a starter who's learned a lot from the forum (I actually came to learn). I will be deceiving you if I posture as one who's learned. @Megainvest & Intendy are in a much better position to help |
zendi: ![]() ORAGBON:Sure, only I don't know where to start. People like Megainvest, NuttyChoky, Intendy, Raider76, Mercylicious and some others here are in a better position to answer this. There's another guy who's moniker I've forgotten. But I'll just give you my brief answer as I know am reach for now. I've come into stock trading with a background in Engr not economics so... Anyway, the two most basic skills I believe you should have are Analysing Balance Sheets/Annual reports and trend analysis/pattern recognition skills. I've found the two, very key skills. They entail a lot when you break them down. People generally say technical and fundamental stock analysis. But without being too esoteric, I think one can start with these. There are so so many things that can affect the price of a stock. So many. Economic policies, business news, fraud, deaths, appointments, new products, new competitors, profit, loss, war, time of the year etc. You have to be aware of how many indices may be playing on a SP at a given time t. There are resources on the internet anyway. Of course we learn everyday and continue learning some more. I only started making money in stocks recently after taking it more seriously. The thing fit frustrate you if you'Re not careful o. So ... |

manie:OK you got it for N3.05? Very good price. I already have quite a lot of FBNH. I was almost gonna buy UBA on Friday, but my bid was too low by a few kobo, so I missed out on that. Anyway for now though, I have just Zenith and FBNH in my portfolio. I try not to own too many (not more than 3 stocks) at a time. I have not made up my mind on the next, cos it takes time to do DD at times. |
PETERiCHY:As for you, I always wondered why people never pass up a chance to insult you on this forum. As a matter of fact I did get upset a number of times when some would insult you for what seemed like no reason e.g. the last time Intendy had to caution someone. Well I understand now. Perfectly. |
rychard:It takes a certain kind of level of thinking, a really poor one, to come up with this response. The kind that doesn't really think things through. Now I might break it down for you, and show you the several reasons why this is a really poor response but I'm certain you just wouldn't get it. Cheers bro |
PETERiCHY:Abeg carry your wahala dey go. The only thing I'll regret right now or whenever it goes to the 'dustbin' as you claim is not having deep enough pockets. Only a war which tears apart a country (God forbid) can call for the kind of caution you preach. Cheers and happy Sunday |
Only the NSE makes me look forward to Mondays. ![]() |
bigjay01:In anticipation of the outcome of their meet next week. |
ORAGBON:It's a great lesson. I guess this is the time to have deep pockets and hope for the best. |
