Yes.
Or you can complete the e-dividend mandate process.
Your choice.
I collected my own for Veritas since I have only one stock with them (zenith)
But am processing e-dividend for other registrars
OK. Thanks. I'll have to contact my broker first to know the next step since I don't live in Lagos. Someone said if the cheque is above a certain amount, they wouldn't even send it by regular post

If you were expecting your dividend electronically and you still haven't received it just proceed to Veritas Registrars at Ajose Adeogun street, VI for pick up. Dividend warrants above a certain amount (prolly 50k) are often not sent by post for security reasons. The registrar withdraws them and keeps at their office. Owners can come with identification to claim them.
If your expected dividend is not up to this amount, you might have to wait till it drops at your postal mail box.

Yes, warrants were available for pick up as early as after completion of AGM on payment date.

Lastly, your e-dividend application will not be processed if the registrars do not have your signature specimen submitted via transfer forms from your broker or via banker's confirmation of signature. It is immaterial whether the e-dividend was uploaded by your bank or not.
Oooh! OK. No mind me jo. Before this year I hardly used to care about dividend. It's only now I started investing in that direction so I didn't know all this. Thanks bro.

I'll go collect it, only that I don't live in Lagos. I'm somewhere in the North central, very far from Lagos. But I guess I just got to make out time if there's no other way . Thanks again.

Their office is on Ajose adigun.. and not ozumba.
I was there today and you can pick up ur dividend right there if ur account is not requiring any updates like signature verification and all..
Are you saying if someone who qualified for say Zenith Bank dividend, should walk in there now, the cheque would be ready for pickup? So soon?

Otherwise is it still possible to process ediv mandate for them? Since they've already paid the bank transfers.

I sent them a mail since last week, yet no response.

Even as a member of the Appropriation Committee, he may not have known how and when the project was removed for selfish interest of some thieves. Only the Committee Chairman should be asked that question.
Oh so you know this? But you were quick to insult ALL SS/SE senators. Most of whom might not have been members of any of the relevant committees and so unaware of what has transpired. Even as Ashafa mentioned that he's unaware of the removal and stated that he'd have waited till Tuesday when plenary commences before making comments but for the importance of the issue.

Without sparing a word of caution or admonition for whoever might have removed it you've run to attack people who haven't even been mentioned in the issue.

Now ask yourself what's really driving you? Perhaps it's your hatred for the SS/SE?

They should try and pay the 20 - 25K na, where the FCMBs of this world with an EPS of just 24K could still declare 10K dividend, I say na penny stock them go turn to.

That bank is just pretty annoying right now. This is what happens when one entity starts acting like its too big to fail.

If I remember correctly, I think I went with my ID and passport photographs. There were 2 instances. One with APR and the other with Cardinal stone. One of them still required a banker's confirmation, which I processed that same day and collected the warrant. You could also ask your broker to send you a copy of your CSCS stock holding details as backup (it wasn't required of me though).
Thank you very much.

Very horrible service from Investment- One...

Took them several months to do little things... till today I don't have my FBNH dividends of last year, account officer picks call and respond to emails only when they feel like. I am of one mind to add the MD on LinkedIn and give them a piece of my mind.

With all these negatives I wonder why they charge 4% for in and out (1.86% buyside & 2.14% sellside)

I still have a long term portfolio there that I don't trade but I have almost 80% of my investment funds with Morgan Capital now...

Soon I will leave those people completely
Thank you o jare. I was beginning to wonder if i was just imagining things. Now having been a front-line officer in a service providing institution in the past, I know how tough things can be for Customer Service Reps and Account Officers so I try not to make tedious or too much demands. Anyway I will still watch them while looking out for another broker. However if the stuff persists I won't hesitate to file a complaint

I hope both registrars have your signature specimen already, if not, it wouldn't be processed.
Solution is banker's confirmation of signature or transfer form(signature specimen form) processed by your broker through CSCS.

You could also go for dividend warrant pick up. I once did that for my FCMB dividend.
Ah! I like this option, pls explain more. I mean the dividend warrant pick up. That's the alternative I had in mind I just wasn't sure if it was possible. How would they carry out verification? Is it just your ID required?

I bought some stocks today with price limit self and it went through.

As for your account officer name and table your complaints.

I saw my order under pending (in the market) but it still wasn't executed.

Yeah, well the way I do my things is the next person I'll be talking to in that firm is a very senior manager if not director. I don't want to be the reason someone gets a query or loses their Job but if I have to I will. And I don't have to be a High Networth Individual to pull it off. I know Wetin I suffer when I dey bank.

Just send the order via easy trade online platform...
It goes directly to trading floor asap

Very simple.
OK great. Now this is what I do most of the time and it's what I did on the trade I placed today. A market order, to add just a little number of units to the ones I already have on FBNH and it wasn't executed.

I was online a lot today and lots of FBNH were traded so how come a Market order slipped by? If it was a price limit I'll pretend to understand.

Hello House,

I don't how many people use Investment-One, but I do and recently I've begun to notice some unacceptable lapses in their service delivery. So I don't know if there's anyone else experiencing this or it's just me.

Like a little over a week ago I placed an order through mail and it went unacknowledged and unexecuted. I was upset.

Today again, I just observed the same thing. So perhaps there's anyone with similar experience, before I know which step person go take next. angry

Funny enough I've never gotten dividend via this e-dividend process. It's always been through checks after like 4 months. Frustrating! I submitted my e-div forms/mandate a couple of weeks back for Veritas and First Registrars, just praying they effected it early enough.

Pls can you help with step by step guide how to do a dd on a particular company?
Sure, only I don't know where to start.

People like Megainvest, NuttyChoky, Intendy, Raider76, Mercylicious and some others here are in a better position to answer this. There's another guy who's moniker I've forgotten.

But I'll just give you my brief answer as I know am reach for now. I've come into stock trading with a background in Engr not economics so... Anyway, the two most basic skills I believe you should have are Analysing Balance Sheets/Annual reports and trend analysis/pattern recognition skills. I've found the two, very key skills. They entail a lot when you break them down. People generally say technical and fundamental stock analysis. But without being too esoteric, I think one can start with these.

There are so so many things that can affect the price of a stock. So many. Economic policies, business news, fraud, deaths, appointments, new products, new competitors, profit, loss, war, time of the year etc. You have to be aware of how many indices may be playing on a SP at a given time t.

There are resources on the internet anyway. Of course we learn everyday and continue learning some more. I only started making money in stocks recently after taking it more seriously. The thing fit frustrate you if you'Re not careful o. So ...

OK you got it for N3.05? Very good price. I already have quite a lot of FBNH. I was almost gonna buy UBA on Friday, but my bid was too low by a few kobo, so I missed out on that.

Anyway for now though, I have just Zenith and FBNH in my portfolio. I try not to own too many (not more than 3 stocks) at a time. I have not made up my mind on the next, cos it takes time to do DD at times.
