A Facebook user @Kemi Filani shared the story of this young girl and it is so so disheartening and touching. This happened in Bori - Port-harcourt in Rivers State. This is really an unworthy gift this festival period. I pray you will not receive this kind of gift and no member of your family will, in Jesus name....Amen Read story below.... If you stay in the house and sleep all day people will say you are lazy. If you walk on the street, you are not save. Even selling in the shop, you are walking close to your grave. This young girl was shot dead yesterday evening in Bori. Guess what... She was selling drinks in the shop as every other day, when a an unknown bullet that was targeted at someone killed both the target and this young dream from Kaani in Khana LGA. Former Nigeria captain and star Daniel Amokachi has said the practice of local coaches being bribed to invite players onto the country’s national teams is endemic. Despite no one being found guilty of the accusation, there have long been suspicions it happens in Nigeria. “Agents always come to give money for their players to be invited to camp,” said Amokachi. “Does it have to be so?” The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has asked Amokachi to produce evidence to support his claims. The 43-year-old, who won the Africa Cup of Nations as a player in 1994, says it is time people spoke up about an issue that he says has long bedevilled the Nigerian game. “We know this thing has been going on for a while but we have to voice it,” the current manager of Finnish second tier side JS Hercules told BBC Sport. Previously, Amokachi worked as an assistant to former Super Eagles coaches Stephen Keshi (2011-15), Shaibu Amodu (2008-10) and Austin Eguavoen (2005-2007). He says that all three used to complain about the practice. “Every time Amodu would tell me: ‘Can you listen to these useless agents that are calling me? They want to give me US$10,000, $20,000 and $30,000 to bring their players in.'” “But he’s a man of integrity and wouldn’t take it. I worked with Keshi and it was the same scenario. With Eguavoen, it was the same. “If these three names mentioned had not had integrity, definitely they would have fallen victim.” But Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary, rejected Amokachi’s allegations while also calling on him to furnish the organisation with more information. “I think it is unfair to make such allegations and not mention the names of those involved,” Sanusi told BBC Sport. “It would be fair if he mentions the names of those who have either approached him or approached some people to give them money. He should also mention people who he knew collected money. “I think that will be the best way to go about it. “I have not heard of this issue from any quarter and I can tell you that the NFF will not tolerate this kind of behaviour. If Amokachi has evidence of what he has said he should bring it forward and we will take it up.” The former international, who enjoyed a fruitful career in Europe with Anderlecht (Belgium), Everton (England) and Besiktas (Turkey), says he has been inspired to speak out after being accused of the practice himself. It came after Nigeria, African champions in 2013, failed to qualify for next month’s Nations Cup in Gabon. “Someone accused me lately, (saying) ‘the reason Nigeria did not qualify is because all you coaches demand bribes.'” “You understand? I felt the pain.” “So if he is painting me as a bad egg among a few, then somebody like me cannot be quiet about it.” “Coaches will confirm people bring money but they will not say it. “Players will confess, even assistant coaches will confirm this thing is going on, but the system does not allow you because a lot of us are hungry and afraid that ‘when I say this, I will never be near that office again.'” In October, Amokachi asked the national anti-graft agency to investigate high-level corruption blighting football in Nigeria – but has yet to hear back. http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/nigeria-national-team-coaches-are-being.html?m=1

Most of you may have come across him. I think he is the Lagos biggest boy and he is living his life the way he wants it. Is he enjoying it? Probably yes but is he heading for doom? I leave you to judge. King Tee has slept with a new set of young ladies on a bed full of cash, sneakers, expensive alcohol and jewelries to showcase his uncanny opulence. The dark-skinned young man who specializes in having s*x with different ladies without condoms in hotels has remained unrepentant in the face of criticisms as he continues to soar high in popularity. King Tee whose source of income remains unknown pays his female clients a sum of N100,000 for unprotected s*x and shares the explicit pictures and videos online for money. The faces of the ladies remain veiled for now. He is currently raking massive cash from his new enterprise despite social media attacks. Gambia incumbent president lost the presidential election to opposition leader on December 1st, 2016 and have already conceded defeat but his dictatorial side couldn't let his decision stand. He recanted his decision and he is calling for re-run. Despite the pressure from International communities and concerned neighbours, Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh, has insisted he won’t step down. His insistence to stay was broadcasted again on state television on Tuesday. In his words: “I am not a coward. My right cannot be intimidated and violated. “This is my position. Nobody can deprive me of that victory except the Almighty Allah,”. “The political crisis in The Gambia will be settled internally and peacefully, I would maintain my position of challenging the election result,” he insisted. President Jammeh, who is accused by human rights groups of the detention, torture and killing of perceived opponents during his 22-year rule, has been urged by West African leaders and Western powers to hand over power peacefully. Notably, he flat out rejected Nigerian President council saying he has no moral ground to solicit in Gambia crisis considering his history of acrimony. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/gambian-president-insists-i-will.html?m=1 cc lalasticlala missyb3 dominique mynd44

Permit me to use the phrase one of Nairaland's frequent commenter uses, "I am not understanding". And that is exactly what am feeling right now. I went to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Ogun State to seek for admission in HND and they refused me admission because i have a post-dated result. I must say am surprised as am confused at the same time. I have not really heard about post-dated result in my life before. I did my ND in Abia State Polytechnic and got 3.1 in CGP which is upper credit and I used my waec and neco result to combine when i entered for the ND. Though I only made English Language D7, Abia State Polytechnic gave me admission because i chose to read Computer Science. So during my ND days, I didn't even like the idea of combination of result so i took GCE and cleared my papers. I even used my GCE result and ND result to apply for DE in FUTO which i got but in my 4th Year, i had a financial problem and i had to withdraw from school indefinitely and regrettably. But to my surprise now, When i went to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to apply for HND, they need 5 credits including English in Computer Science. So I can't use my WAEC & NECO combined result because i had D7 in English. I opted to use my GCE which i cleared my papers but they refused. Reason being that my GCE result is Post-dated result. Meaning that I got the result during or after my ND result. I can't understand this stupidity and i don't know what to do. This really defies logic for me and i don't understand the essence of this draconian approach. My ND result dated 2010 My GCE result Dated 2010 Please lalasticlala mynd44 obinoscopy ishilove dominique ijebay and other wonderful admins, move to front page so that i can sort people's opinion before it too late for me. The founder of ponzi scheme Mavrodi Mondial Movement (MMM) Sergey Mavrodi is reported to have written a letter to Nigeria’s federal government. According to NAN, the open letter was displayed on the page of all participants in the scheme. In the letter Mavrodi listed the benefits of the scheme and urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to embrace the movement because of its many benefits through which it is helping Nigerians. He noted that the government would leave the scheme alone to keep helping Nigerians if it knew how well it was catering to people’s welfare. Mavrodi revealed that over 3 million Nigerians were already on the scheme. He also shot down arguments that the scheme would soon fail and noted that with just 3 million Nigerians, the scheme has run for about a year and with many more Nigerians still left, there is no way the scheme would fail. Mavrodi's letter comes just days after one of Nigeria's banks wrote to its customers, advising them to stay away from the scheme. The banks letter follows the warning by the CBN that Nigerians should stay away from the scheme. Federal lawmakers also tried to stop the scheme with directives that its promoters should be detained by security agencies. Read the full letter bellow... Leicester City play maker Riyad Mahrez has been crowned the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2016. Fans from across the world voted for the Algeria and Leicester midfielder ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew, Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure. Winger Mahrez, 25, told BBC Sport: "It means a lot, it's something big for African players so I am very happy, I am very proud. "It's always good to receive awards and for African players it's a huge honour. To all the fans, thank you very much." He added: "Also I want to thank the Algeria fans and dedicate this to them as well and for my family. "I just have to carry on and keep going with my football and see what I can do." The award caps an exceptional year for Mahrez, who had already won the English Premier League title and was voted Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year. It is further recognition for his outstanding form as Mahrez, whose family comes from the small town of El Khemis in Algeria, took the Premier League by storm. He was a driving force in Leicester City's shock title triumph, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists as the Foxes pulled off what had been a 5,000-1 shot before the season. Leicester manager Claudio Ranieiri was in attendance as Mahrez received his award and paid tribute to the winger. "I want to see him continue as a fantastic player," the Italian told BBC Sport. " It's very important for us, for the team. He is improving every day. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/algeria-star-riyad-mahrez-win-bbc.html cc lalasticlala mynd44 obinoscopy ishilove missyb3

A lady who goes by the name Uzoma Precious, has sparked outrage online after saying she should be r@ped if she agrees to go to Dubai with a guy and refuses to have s*x with him. While some online users saw the post as a joke, others have blasted the lady for making such a pricey joke. Can a lady really agree to go to Dubai with a man and refuse to have sex? Is that remotely possible? See peoples reactions: @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/lady-says-if-i-agree-to-go-to-dubai.html

Edo State Government has slammed a one-year suspension on the Ojuromi of Uromi in Esan North-East Local Government Area of the state, His Royal Highness, Zaiki Edenojie II, for failing to apologise “within the stipulated period” to one Ms. Betty Okoebor, whom he allegedly assaulted. It also stripped him of ”all the privileges and rights of the Ojuromi of Uromi,” in line with Section 28(1) of the Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Law (1979) and added that his remuneration from the five per cent monthly allocation to the local government “shall be appropriated and donated to orphanages” during the period. A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Peter Okhiria, said the monarch’s suspension, which takes effect from Monday, was contained in a letter dated November 4, 2016, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere. The Onojie was earlier suspended for seven days by the government, through the state executive council, for the failure to respond to a query and travelling outside the country without permission. He had also been directed to apologise to the state government and the woman within the seven-day period or risk being dethroned. The state government accused the Onojie of allegedly leaving his palace during the governorship election, moving from one polling booth to another, campaigning and trying to coerce voters to vote for his preferred party and candidate. complete article @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/11/edo-monarch-zaiki-edenojie-ii-suspended.html
