The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to sign the Code of Conduct Bureau and the Code of Conduct Tribunal Act amended by the National Assembly. In a statement by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, the group asked Nigerians and worker unions to ensure that Buhari does not sign the amended Act. The statement read in part: “We are taken aback that just months after it initially suspended the move to amend the CCB and the CCT Act, the National Assembly subtly passed the amendment Bill into law. “When the plan by the National Assembly to amend the Act first became known to members of the public, there was deafening outcry, which forced the lawmakers to suspend the move. “The CNPP, just like many other Nigerians had thought that the National Assembly by the suspension of the earlier move to amend the CCT/CCB Act was a sign of good days ahead where the lawmakers respect the majority opinion of their respective constituencies. “But the subtle passage of the amendment Bill is an indication that the National Assembly is serving the interest of its principal officers, and not that of the Nigerian people who unfortunately elected this crop of lawmakers, so insensitive to the core issues bothering the ordinary citizens.” more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/10/just-in-cnpp-tells-buhari-do-not-sign.html

In fact i red a post on Facebook requesting and i quote "Sir, we no longer want you to better Nigeria, we want you to return it the way it was before you took power" The undisputed facts........ 1. Exchange rate is N420 to $1 and climbing. 2. Bank interest rate is 33%, even hard drugs dealers and Load sharks have not had up to this as interest rate before. 3. Minimum wage is N18k.... and climbing 4. Fuel price is N145....and climbing 5. Kerosene sells at N220...and climbing 6. Jobs are being lost in hundreds of thousands... 7. We May Soon Stop Paying Civil Servants – CBN Alerts Nigerians.. so Civil servants are no longer sure of their salary... 8. Oil workers are been layed off... 9. Banks are retrenching staff...and Many Nigeria's new generation bank is still bitter that his salary and that of many staff were slashed by the management due to economy recession... 10. Your uncle that promised you job is not even sure of his own... 11. Thousands of graduates passing out every year from Universities, Polytechnics, College of Education to get which job? We are still on President Buhari's comment that his wife belongs in his kitchen and i has also continued to spark mixed reactions across the country. The President had reacted to an ‘explosive’ interview his wife granted the BBC, where she said she may not back her husband at the next election unless he reshuffles his cabinet. In his response, the president, who was in Germany on a three-day visit to discuss issues relating to security and economy, laughed and replied, “she belongs to my kitchen and living room.” Following Buhari’s response to his wife, many concerned Nigerians have taken to the social media to criticize the President. However, while some female folks have raised their voices of disapproval, others have stated categorically that their primary role begins and ends in the kitchen. And the Senator representing Adamawa North under the All Progressives Congress party, APC, Binta Masi Garba, has agreed with President Buhari’s comment. According to her, her primary role before joining the senate is in the kitchen. She said this on Wednesday at the Senate’s plenary. She jested, “I am proud to be in the kitchen and the other room. “Before joining the senate, my primary role was in the kitchen.” Laughter took over the senate hall after the statement. Speaking further, Senator Binta enjoined Nigerians to look at the trauma which the released Chibok girls had gone through and called for a psychological rehabilitation on the girls to make them forget all they went through while in captivity. Exlink Lodge Yes I believe God loves this country and yet i don't know how much he does. How come he took away the savior of Nigeria? A selfless leader and visionary. A technocrat and a father. A man that knows what is good for the country and does that without anybody asking. The truth about his regime: 1. He never made fake promises. Instead, he went on and fulfilled promises which he never made. 2. He ended insurgency in the Niger Delta, started dredging River Niger so that ships can dock there. 3. Reduced the price of fuel from 75 to 65 naira per litre without anyone asking. 4. He lived an honest and modest life. 5. He humbly acknowledged that the election that brought him to power was rigged. 6. He wasn't like a PDP member, he was a man of his words. He is my favorite my favorite Nigerian President so far. He was the 13th President of Nigeria. He served as governor of Katsina State in northern Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 28 May 2007. Died May 5th 2010. Rest In Peace Sir celebrate this man Nairalanders cuz he is worth celebrating more on exlink lodge @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/09/does-he-have-brother-like-him-yar-adua.html

These are beautiful photos from RIO 2016 Olympics Opening Ceremony held last night. I must tell you, Brazil really knows how to light up the world. So so beautiful. It was broadcast to an estimated audience of three billion, the ceremony celebrated Brazil's history and natural beauty, before former marathon runner Vanderlei de Lima lit the Olympic cauldron. Wimbledon champion Andy Murray led the British team into the arena. The build-up to Rio 2016 has been played out against a deep recession and political protests in Brazil. But organisers will hope the focus can now shift to the action in 28 sports, with 207 teams, after the Games of the 31st Olympiad were officially opened. The cauldron was lit by De Lima, who won bronze for Brazil in the marathon at the 2004 Games after he was grappled by a spectator while leading the race. Football legend Pele had ruled himself out of performing the role saying he was not in the right "physical condition". The story of Oluwamayo Ojumah will definitely inspire everyone and teach never give up and follow your dream. Ojumah was one of the best graduating students in the last convocation of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Although she graduated with a CGPA of 4.51, that is not the most inspiring thing in her story. Oyo state born Ojumah is a married woman who has had many failed attempts at studying medicine that took her from Ogun state to the UK, then to Okada in Edo state, before finally graduating with a First Class from the Department of Biochemistry, UNILAG. Speaking with Vanguard, Ojumah recalled her wasted years in pursuit of the degree. “I left secondary school in 2004 and in that same year I got admission into Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) for Applied Zoology and the agreement was that if I performed well they were going to transfer me to Medicine. “I had wanted to study Medicine. I didn’t really get the scope of the course, so I was not doing well. I think I left in 200 levels. So my parents said I should go abroad and study Medicine. Unfortunately it was quite expensive and I didn’t want to get them into those strains of providing that kind of finance every year. So, we reached an agreement to come back home and go to Igbinedion University, Okada. That was in 2009. “I went to the UK and came back. In the UK they were not ready to admit me to read Medicine. I needed to do a lot of courses before and then thinking about the financial implications I had to come back home. Since Igbenedion was better and they said they were going to allow me read Medicine, I came back home. So, when I got to Igbenedion I was admitted into 200 levels with my transcript from OOU. I did 200 levels and 300 levels but at the level of my MB, I failed two courses, I passed Biochemistry and failed Anatomy and Physiology. By the time I did my resit, I think I failed Anatomy and failed the other,” she said. After failed anatomy and physiology, Ojumah had two options: - complete article at http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/03/meet-nigerian-woman-who-made-1st-class.html cc mynd44

Police has caught up with 5 suspected kidnappers who, over the years, have randomly abducted residents of Imo and Abia states. Unlike most of the kidnap cases that rely on information, this set believes that it is safer to comb the area and pick victims based on their financial status. The suspects, identified as Ugochukwu Gabriel Mbah, Kenneth Levi, Onyema Uzodinma, Udochukwu Nwanguma and Nduka Nwankwo were recently arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police, Special Intelligence Response Team (SIRT). It was gathered that the detectives acted on intelligence report shortly after they released their latest victim, a South-Africa based businessman. The officer in charge of the SIRT, CSP Abba Kyari was said to have deployed detectives from Abuja to Owerri, the Imo state capital, from where they tracked and arrested five members of the gang. In the course of investigations, it was revealed that the gang coordinated most of their operations with the help of their members inside Owerri prison. The current leader of the gang, Ugochukwu, aged 33 was picked up in-front of Owerri prison shortly after he had gone there to give their members update on their activities while others were picked in Imo, Anambra and Abia states. Two AK47rifles, 2 magazines with 52 rounds of live ammunition, one Beretta pistol and one pump action gun were also recovered from their amoury in Umuakpala village in Abia state. They also discovered their hideouts in Mbaise and Egbu in Owerri North, all in Imo state.
