Love is in the air like my girl friend use to say but i also have someone who believes otherwise. Make no mistake, if you get a monster as a lover, you will not live to tell the story. I ask myself sometimes what other name can one call the word 'love'? I think 'stupidity' should be in other. Checkout this story..... A female staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Sophia Phillips Horsefall, has been murdered and buried in a shallow grave by her boyfriend because she refused to make him her next-of-kin in her documents. Vanguard reports that the deceased who is from the popular Horsefall family in Rivers State, was stabbed to death by the boyfriend, Martin Sotonye and two of his friends, Innocent Oluche and Wachukwu Ugochukwu , on November 8, 2016, after she also refused to give him the sum of N1 million he had demanded from her. The accused were arraigned at a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Port Harcourt, the state capital by the Department of State Services (DSS). During the trial, counsel to the DSS, Mr. C. S. Eze, told the court that the first defendant, Sotonye, had lured the deceased with whom they had a 13-year-old daughter, to the house of the second defendant, Oluche, where he allegedly stabbed her to death. Eze claimed the first and second defendants later buried the deceased in a shallow grave, noting that they invited the third defendant, Ugochukwu, a spiritualist, to perform some rituals to cover their tracks. The counsel also added that the accused were brought before the court on a three-count charge which included: ‘Stabbing to death with a jack knife and thereby committed an offense contrary to Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Law, Laws of Rivers State 1999.' An older brother of the deceased, Amatu Phillips while speaking to newsmen, alleged that his sister was murdered by the boyfriend of 13 years because of her wealth. He claimed she had some money in her account and confided in the boyfriend who later kept on pestering her for financial support. According to Phillips, after the sister had allegedly given him money several times, he came again demanding for N1 million which she refused. He alleged that the boyfriend later lured her to his friend’s house, offered her a fruit juice drink which, unknown to the sister, was drugged. I think most Manchester United fans are fed up with Fallaini. Considering the cheap goal he gave away few nights ago, some fans thinks he even purposely gave away the penalty which robbed United a win over Everton last weekend. Though looking at the picture above, you will be tempted to think that Scholes is behind the hard words, of course Paul Scholes didn’ t say that , just an angry United fan who thinks the Belgian is not good enough to make the team . The Red Devils were leading by a slim 1 -0 scoreline against Everton at the weekend when Fellaini came on as a late substitute and gave away a cheap penalty. Leighton Baines dispatched the spot kick to rob United of a valuable victory. What did Gen. Buhari told Nigerians that aided his election as president in 2015 is what everybody keep asking till today because he hasn't changed a bit from what he was during his dictatorship rule during the early 80's which led to his government been overthrown. Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, has revealed that President Buhari jailed him for 18 months in 1984, for being wealthy. According to Punch, Anenih said he was sent to prison between March 1984 and August 1985 when Buhari was a military dictator. Anenih said “The military regime of General Buhari and Tunde Idiagbon threw me into detention for 18 months on the basis of an anonymous petition that as a prominent and wealthy politician and leader of the NPN in Bendel State, the military administrator would not find his footing unless I was removed from the scene. “I was sent to Kirikiri Prisons where I spent three months before I was transferred to Ikoyi Prisons.” He also said he did not commit any crime, adding that his offence was that he was a popular and wealthy politician. Further narrating his ordeal in prison custody, Anenih said “We were transferred to Ikoyi Prisons because of the riot that took place while we were there. The condemned prisoners whose death warrants had earlier been signed by Alhaji Lateef Jakande when he was governor of Lagos State, broke loose on sighting him as one of the detainees. “They broke out of their cells and headed towards the building where Jakande and the rest of us detainees were kept. As the prisoners were attempting to force the iron door open, mobile police were called in to quell the riot.” Adding that “Where we were staying, the bucket latrines or toilets had opening to the rooms. These buckets were emptied maybe once a week from behind, and if for any reason the buckets were not emptied once a week as the rule, you lived with the stench. “At night, cockroaches, rats and lizards passed through these holes housing the bucket latrines into our cells after crawling on the buckets to disturb us. So, you could really not sleep for one hour without getting cockroaches perch on you.” Anenih made this revelation in Abuja on Sunday, November 27, 2016, during the launch of his book titled: My Life and Nigerian Politics. He served as the minister of works and housing during former President Olusegun Obasanjo tenure from 1999 to 2002. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/president-buhari-jailed-me-for-18.html?m=1 cc lalasticlala mynd44 obinoscopy missyb3

This is no joke and you can read it up if you have access to Lagos Criminal Code Doc. What am i even saying, is a public document so go get it and read it up. Anyway, even though is not a joke, yet it is laughable. How can Lagos State enact this kind of law? To me, it even gives the men a lenient sentence and an opportunity to impregnate as many woman they want. This is not a punishment as far as am concerned. Is too lenient. Or what do you think? more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/12/very-funny-see-punishment-for.html?m=1 cc lalasticlala mynd44

After Brexit & The Election Of Trump: What’s At Stake For Nigerians Abroad? By Simi Nwogugu First of all, who is Simi Nwogugu? She is an executive coach and the founder & CEO of HOD Consulting, a diversity consulting firm that helps clients retain and advance multicultural women. She has over twelve years of finance and strategy consulting experience with various organizations including Goldman Sachs and MTV Networks. She has also successfully launched and led two organizations, including 2Hats Network LLC and Junior Achievement of Nigeria, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2009. For more on her biography, click here Last month, my 5-year-old daughter fell off the monkey bars at her school and broke her wrist. I was told by our family doctor to take her to what he believed to be one of the best private hospitals for orthopaedic emergencies in Lagos. An x-ray at the hospital confirmed that it was a full fracture at the wrist with the bone almost entirely displaced so the orthopaedic doctor called in the orthopaedic technician who set the bone and applied the cast, while my brave daughter tried not to scream in pain. They advised us to stay the night to manage the pain, and after a harrowing night, during which she received painkillers every 2-3 hours, we were discharged with an instruction to come back in three days so the doctor could check the swelling. We did, and he declared that she was healing fine and he would do another x-ray in two weeks to determine if the cast should come off or if we should wait one more week. We went home and I was glad that she seemed to be back to her old self and ready to go back to school (though not to the monkey bars!) Two weeks after the incident, and a couple of days before we were due to go back to the hospital for the second x-ray, my husband’s friend, a Nigerian orthopaedic surgeon in the United States, came into town and asked to take a look at my daughter’s wrist. My husband took her to see him that morning and called me enraged because the x-ray showed that the fractured bone was still displaced and the parts still touching had begun to fuse together. I tried to stay calm as I listened to our options – we could either leave as is because she would still have about 80% use of her wrist though she would not have full motion and may not be able to do intense gymnastics OR he could operate on it that night because he was due back in the States the next day. Of course, as fellow Nigerians, you know which option I went for – who was I stop my daughter from becoming an Olympic gymnast someday? It took another 12 hours from that 8:30am appointment before we got the go-ahead to bring my daughter in for the surgery because the doctor had insisted on finding the one anesthesiologist he trusted in Lagos to work on cases involving children. They finally wheeled her into surgery at 10pm, where they proceeded to separate and reset the bone, put a pin to hold it in place and apply a much firmer cast. By the time they brought her out of surgery at 11pm, still sleeping but breathing on her own with an occasional whimper, I had sung every praise and worship song I knew, instructed every angel in heaven to guide the doctor’s hands and paced the entire hospital until my feet and lower back hurt. The doctor showed me a new set of x-rays they had done to make sure the bone was properly aligned and was surprised when I told him the first doctor hadn’t done that. He gave instructions on how to take care of the cast and promised to return in three weeks to remove the pin and assess the wrist. I tell this story to illustrate two things – one, that our country’s healthcare system is so compromised that even people who can afford to pay for the best healthcare services often cannot get them locally, and two, there are good Nigerian doctors who come back often to contribute what they can to propping up a system that might collapse totally without their support. This is not only true for healthcare but for education and many other services that Nigerians living abroad take for granted everyday. So, when I am in a setting where people start denigrating Nigerians living abroad, I often jump to their defense because really how many people are willing to put their children’s education and health at risk when there are better options elsewhere? In fact, to be perfectly honest, there are several moments within the past seven years we have been back in Nigeria that I have begged my husband to let us move back to the States, especially since I still run my executive coaching business in New York, because life is just so much easier and my business so much more profitable to maintain in New York than in Lagos. However, several events within the past few months have made me refocus my energy on Nigeria. continue @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/11/after-brexit-election-of-trump-whats-at.html cc lalasticlala

Panic erupted today at the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere, as fire gutted the chambers of the Chief Judge, Justice Funmilayo Atilade. The Chief Judge’s courtroom, which is on the top floor of the old building, was consumed by fire at about 8:15 am following a reported sparking from one of the air-conditioning units in the chambers. Books and furniture were destroyed. One of the source said the incident happened after a cleaner switched on the faulty air-conditioner and left the courtroom, following which a security official, popularly called “Alhaja”, raised the alarm. The security woman was subsequently rushed to the hospital, to be treated for smoke inhalation, before the arrival of the firefighters. Sources say the devastated courtroom is hardly used by the Chief Judge, but is reserved for her anytime she comes to the Lagos Division of the court. The entire building was saved from being razed down following the quick intervention of the Lagos State Fire Service, which prevented the blaze from spreading to other courtrooms. As a result of the heavy smoke emitting from the courtroom, however, it took the firefighters about one hour to put out the fire. Although the fire was quickly put out by the firefighters, the inferno disrupted activities in the area as litigants were evacuated from the premises and the gates locked. One of the court registrars who spoke on condition of anonymity told SaharaReporters of the incident, “The fire started from one of the air-conditioning unit in the CJ's chamber. But, before anyone could get to know about it, it had gone out of control. I quickly informed my colleagues in the office and we ran down the stairs to our vehicles which we drove out of the premises,” he said. http://www.exlinklodge.com/2016/11/fire-outbreak-panic-as-fire-guts-lagos.html
