@VLTA, it appears you are well grounded christianity. So i want to get some clarification on the man Jesus. In philosophy, there is what we call Epistemology. This is, how we know what we know. And there are two ways of knowing, empericism and phenomenology. Empericism is the knowledge based on the tangible phisical world around us that we can test and make predictions on. It has three components which are; Facts, Evidence and Proof. Now back to Jesus, what convinces you that Jesus came from heaven, was born by a virgin, had no earthly father, was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven and that we can access God only through him? Historically, there are 3 ways by which history is authenticated, and they are; Oral, Written, and Archeological findings. Is there any archeological evidence that Jesus actually walked the earth, apart from was pen in the Bible? His name Jesus is Greek, What was his Hebraic name seeing that at that era it was unheard of a Hebrew to bear Greek names?

If one of the most respected denomination and well researched organization in christendom will make such admission, that means there is something not adding up in christianity and their view of Jesus. Secondly, All through the history of religion there has always been encounters and manifestations before faith/belief. From Abraham to Moses down to the Apostle Paul. (I haven't touched on the sages of other religions). These persons saw before the believed. So, you guys telling a man with a clean slate, tabula rasa as it were to, just belief in Jesus, pray to God, read this and that book and other recommendations shows ignorance. My annoyance with the christian folks is the way they carry on about Jesus. Why are you guys so convinced that Jesus is the way to GOD? But you have to understand that there are numerous religions on Earth with millions of humans as adherents.
