I just had a conversation with a colleague who applied for UK tier 4 dependant visa but was denied. He declared he has someone in the UK other than his wife the main applicant (his younger sister who's married to a UK citizen) and then many question ensued from there during his interview. To cut long story short he was denied on grounds that they don't think he has any intentions to leave the UK upon expiration of the wife's visa.
From this what I will advise is, if you declare you know someone other than the main applicant (talking of dependant applicants under tier 4), be ready to face questions that ensue afterwards as well as the consequences. On the other hand if you fail to declare you have a relative other than the main applicant, the issue is you might be caught and banned (that is if there's any way they will find out) but if you have never declared your relative in the UK in any application to the UK before, you know you won't be staying with them or relying on them for anything, and you know you don't have the requisite informations about them as per income, and the rest, just say NO. My two cents.

What happens in a few years, when perhaps you’re trying to leave the UK to another country for visit or some other business, and you write you have relatives cos you’ve of course totally forgotten about your student visa application where you lied. You do not think this may backfire?

According to their analysis, your 2 dependents need £12,240 plus your maintenance £9207, total needed should be £21,447. So why were they refused if you have £23,934 in your account? Nawa o

I've been following for the past 3 weeks and have read everything from page one and done a lot of googling. Wow.

I plan on applying for September 2020 intake (I know I know, still far) so I'm trying to equip myself with all the information and guideline i can get.

One important question i want to ask is...Do i need to be in Nigeria to apply for the students visa? I'm in Asia, can I just apply here?

Two...Must the POF Show the required 9300 pound AND the balance of fees after making deposit or just the 9300 pounds is enuogh provided i have paid deposit

Three...Honestly, i still don't understand the steps. Please correct me if i'm wrong

Apply for admission and get accepted
Pay your deposit
Receive CAS
Fund your account with the POF
Wait till it matures 28 days
Do your TB test and get result
Print out POF, apply for visa online, pay visa fee and IHS
Wait to be invited for Biometrics and interview
Wait for mail to pick up your visa

Please guys, kindly put me straight and correct my mistakes

I assume you meant Sept 2022? So you still have time. Sit down and go through pgs 1 and 2 thoroughly. Go to Part 5 and start reading from at least the last 20-40 pages. I’m for Jan intake and even using a school rep agent, but I’ve been reading this thread daily since April. Like after going through Instagram, twitter etc, I come to NL as well.
School A’s procedure might not be school B’s, some ask for TB test and/or POF before you’re issued CAS.

Once you’ve done the above, trust me you’ll be well grounded in this, hell you can even open shop as a UK Student visa agent

Guys please for those of us that have opted for non placement courses, is it possible to apply for work internships, paid or unpaid, in order to gain some experience while studying?

Well, other acceptable forms of English language tests are also on their websites.
So if you have your IELTS, then you can jump and pass.

1. You should go to a bank and pay your deposit. If you have the entire tuition you can pay it so you get a discount of 500 GBP.

2. In my opinion, as regards name change, you can go ahead, so far you have all your supporting documents. But, note that it MAY confuse some ECO's though, to have a passport different from CAS record. Your application MAY not be straight forward.

Alternatively, write to the University, that you want your wives admission letter to reflect the name on her passport, if that's the name on her certificates. Then they should indicate her title as Mx. - a title that can be used by a woman married or unmarried, instead of Mrs. Even though you have different names. It won't affect you during the application. I think it is better this way.

3. You can start your PoF in September or make it end then. Visa application for January will start in October.

Please if one wants to pay entire tuition, how then does the discount apply? Do you pay the entire thing and the school reimburses you (which I doubt) or you pay short of the discount fee?

It’s pretty late but you could try. I’d advise you focus your energy into Jan 2022, so you don’t rush and make mistakes.

I believe Walk in and priority are different services. Walk in is for biometrics while priority is for visa processing. You can do both, either of the two or neither.

You go with your international passport and proof of payment. If after collecting the tb certificate and u decide to change the address on it, it will cost u a token of 8500.

Please at what point does one initially provide the address, cos I just booked an appointment and I wasn’t asked for any address.

Kai! I was checking Oanda like 10 times per day. Instead of rising, the rate in Naira even decreased during the 28 days.

After 3 years of Canada waka, on 445 till the crs go up and refuse to go down lol. Ielts sef will expire next month. I don learn French sef, na to write Tef remain.
Several master applications to 4 universities in Canada ( and dey chop my application fee lol) no admission. Finally as the last school said No in April, my eye clear lol, I decided to face UK.
And UK don land.
